How to Sign In Amazon Prime Video Account from Smart TV (Enter Your Code Where?)

I show you how to sign in into your Amazon Prime video account from any smart TV. When you try to sign in you will get a message that says go to amazon.com/mytv then enter your code. From here you need to go to www.amazon.com/mytv from any device with a browser like a phone, computer, or even the TV you are using. I find the easiest way is just to use the browser on your phone. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I've been watching Prime for as long as I've had my already "Registered" (with Amazon) Samsung 6 series TV. BUT, I recently signed in to my Samsung account to try to correct a different issue. When I tried to use Prime, the TV brought up this screen (with an image of a laptop) asking me to go "on your computer" to enter the code. I thought it was only for Prime streaming to a laptop! Nice, quick, helpful presentation - especially with "Enter Your Code Where?" in your title. Well done! 👍

I can’t sign in. The only option at the top that is highlighted is “home” and I can’t select or move the cursor over to any other option...??? EDIT: It took several hours for all apps to fully load and sync. Works fine now.

@@bhagyashripatil6185 just turn it on and walk away for a long time. It takes a long while for the app to fully “boot up”, so if you come back in an hour or 2 it should function just fine/normal.

"...go to your phone and open up a browser.." That's a nice matter-of-fact statement for people who use their phones for browsing. I don't! I'm 71 and just bought a new Samsung TU-8000 smart tv.
So now, I'm forced to keep my phone and reading glasses with me when viewing programs every evening and get used to accessing the internet, navigating to the various sites, (Amazon, Brit Box, etc.) to enter those damn codes! This is a big inconvenience and I don't appreciate it!
The tv does look nice though, better than the old 40-inch.

Doing all the above. I put my code in and it registered on my computer and tv. When I wanted to see a movie on Prime video it keeps saying invalid. My boyfriend figured out if I used HDM3 than I got Prime. or try any HDM that suits you. I was on the phone with Amazon tech for 45 minutes and they said I had a virus. Wanting to charge me $200 to take the virus out. I said forget it and glad I did.

I’m trying to do this remotely. My mother uses my Amazon account to watch videos but doesn’t know how to navigate within the network to find where the drop-down is to register a new device and input a code. She’ll be doing it on her laptop instead of her smart phone. Her smart phone is useless.
