Solo Wild Camping Under the Midnight Sun | Northern Norway - Tromsø/Kvaløya

I started just above Tromsø, with a stunning view of the fjords during the midnight sun (Fløya). The next day I set off from Tromsø in northern Norway on my bike, heading towards the base of Store Blåmann on the island of Kvaløya. The journey began with a steep climb up to a plateau at around 700 meters, where I set up my tent. After a brief coffee break, I continued the final steep ascent to the summit. The breathtaking view at the top was filled with countless mountains rising above a sea of clouds. After a short descent, I enjoyed the midnight sun above the clouds. The next morning, I continued my silent hiking and wild camping adventure by traveling to the western end of the island of Kvaløya, where I enjoyed the mountains, cliffs, and the Atlantic Ocean (Brosmetinden, Tromvik).

No estuve en Tiwanaku, pero el Pico Austria es una ruta de trekking realmente hermosa con un panorama increíble de los picos de 6000 metros.

Hahaha, I had the same thought.
When Cotopaxi finally really blows, it'll be big, I fear. It will be the next Tambora or Krakatoa. Even 100 miles away from it will be too close. I fear for the native people living on or near its slopes, little wonder they're stressed already.

Exactly, I don't know for sure, and you can't predict it precisely either. But there are definitely strong solar storms heading towards Earth. I've read that it could get even stronger today😅

Was für ein tolles Video. Sehr schöne, gute Bilder und keine laute aber ruhige Musik ... Dank für das Hochladen. Eine zusätzliche Frage: In September machen wir eine Hochtour im Ötztal. Eine Etappe wäre Similaunhütte - Weißkogel. Kann mann die Fineilspitze "mitnehmen"? Wie lange dauert es von der Ötzi Fundstelle zum Gipfel? Gibt's auch leichte Kraxlerei? Dank im Voraus. Grüße aus Flandern.
Es freut mich, dass dir die Aufnahmen gefallen:) Wie genau sieht denn eure Tour aus? Wollt ihr von der Similaun Hütte zur Bella Vista und dann zur Weißkugel hoch (also eine mehrtägige Tour)? Wenn ihr eh an der Ötzi Fundstelle vorbeikommt, dann könntet ihr auch noch eben hoch zur Finalspitze. Ich habe von der Fundstelle zum Gipfel ca 1 Stunde gebraucht. Dabei gab es ein paar leichte Kletterstellen aber nichts wildes:)

Hey i was wondering what was the pack weight from bc to abc / from camp 1 to 3.
Hey, since the tent was provided for us, the backpack for Camp 1 to 3 included a mattress, sleeping bag, gas cooker, food, additional gear and extra clothing. I'd estimate it weighed around 12-15kg. The backpack for Camp 1 was a bit fuller because more clothing and the warm shoes also needed to be transported (maybe 18kg).
@@maltmountain thanks for the response I heard some stories abt people carrying up 30kg to camp1/abc with scared me a little since I weigh abt 60-65 kg and carrying 50% of my bw for 6-7 hrs don't seem great
@@Rayvi There are even mules available for transport to Camp 1, if desired😅
@@maltmountain yes thats also good to keep in mind. I think il make sure to get used to around 22-24kg in my training so i have a little reserve! Got a full year to train. And managed to do a 2200m summit day with 18kg so I hope i can get fit enough in a year :)
