    Shit I'd love to see a trx450r and trx700xx for 2022 but that will never happen

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Same here... I still kick myself for not snatching up a TRX700XX back in 2009 for myself when Honda put massive rebates on them and I was selling them new, for $3,999. What's crazy is they were half off and still didn't sell well at the time but it was a crazy time for sales back in 2008-2010'ish when the economy crashed. The TRX450R was more fun to me but man was the TRX700XX an animal in the trails. Seeing their gradual decline in sales over the years and the eventual demise has been sad. Here's to hoping that corner of the market turns around and Honda jumps back in that segment before everything turns electric and is ruined lol.

    Would love to see them add 4x4 to the Recon... Smaller, lighter, and more nimble package than the old Fourtrax 300, and I think people would buy it.

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I'm with you 100%! A Recon 4x4 would sell like hotcakes thanks to all of the other models gradually growing larger and larger over the years. Not everybody wants that, a lot of people want a small footprint like the Recon but with the capability to go anywhere. I couldn't tell you how many people have said they want a 4x4 Recon over the years I've been selling them, they would definitely sell!

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eventually, that'll be the case. I think we're a long ways out from that happening though. They haven't brought their first "try" to market yet and once they do that, it'll take many many years for them to expand and get people to try them out etc. It's definitely going to be interesting to see how it all pans out with electric units and the powersports world.

    Do you think honda will ever make a twincon of some kind or a v twin rubicon big bore. And i wonder if anyone at the South Carolina plant has any information they would share. I wish i new someone who worked there that i could ask. I just bought a 2021 rubicon but I wouldn’t be afraid to buy a v twin version of the same machine and thank you for the information you keep sharing in the video’s

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think we'll see a Rubicon with a twin-cylinder engine within the next decade. The one to keep an eye out for possibly going twin is the Rincon, paired up with a parallel-twin cylinder engine that's stolen from a motorcycle in the lineup. Not necessarily the Africa Twin 1100 or 1000 engine but Honda is working on a smaller Africa Twin of sorts. One thats engine could be shared between multiple platforms like they have done on many different occasions now.
      Congrats on your new Rubicon! Did you go with the DCT or foot-shift?
      No problem at all bud, thank you for the kind words... I really appreciate it!

    Does anyone know why the Honda trx250x is so hard to find (Near the Area of San Diego

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly, it's due to the whole corona mess. Honda is struggling to get dealers inventory all over the USA.
      Example. The Honda dealership I ran for the last 15 years used to normally keep around two million dollars in inventory year round. In May of 2020 and up until the doors closed in January of 2021, we could barely keep $100,000 in inventory due to Honda not being able to get shipments out. It's a big problem and I don't think we'll be out of this mess any time soon.

    Is a trx 250 a good bike for a adult beginner?

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely! Both the TRX250X and TRX250 Recon models are great beginner units for adults so you can get your feet wet without having to spend as much as some of the other models and they're super easy to control. Cheap to maintain and have great resale value for when and if you may want something larger so in my opinion, they're hard to beat.

    We need the Recon to be updated, make it slightly... And I mean slightly bigger because I kinda look like a carney on mine, but the nimbleness of it I can take it almost anywhere....
    Update the engine to 300cc
    Update the design
    Slightly bigger tires
    4x4
    Foot shift needs to stay, push button sucks, so does automatic
    Would be cool if fuel injected but not needed

      @@HondaProKevin I think it would be cool if they added a sixth gear, more like an overdrive and keep the other 5 gears the same ratio... I don't really need to go to much faster especially if they did upgrade the engine to 300cc, but I can't tell you how many times I just wanted one more gear to grab.... If they did all that those would sell like hot cakes...

    This has been on my mind. As the world moves toward all electric vehicles as Chevy,Ford,etc have all stated they are going to rapidly toward more electric. But how long do you think before the ATV/SXS market gets a hybrid or even a full electric option. As far as I know, none of the major ATV/SXS players even have a electric or hybrid option, nor talked about having one. So I still think we are many years away before the ATV/SXS gets it's foot wet in the hybrid/electric market. Just my two cents.

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      lol it's like you read my mind. I've been wondering the same thing for years and even more so lately with all of the manufacturers making announcements that they'll be all electric by X or Y year etc. When does the powersports world really start to be affected by all of this? How many more years do we have? We're still years away but they are hard at work at it with several teaming up together, mentioned here hondanews.eu/eu/en/motorcycles/media/pressreleases/329392/honda-signs-a-letter-of-intent-with-ktm-piaggio-and-yamaha-motor-for-the-creation-of-a-swappable-bat?NewsAlert_4234&Email&.eu and here's an article from 2018 on my blog in regards to Honda and swappable battery packs for side by sides etc: www.hondaprokevin.com/electric-honda-pioneer-side-by-side-utv-sxs-atv-utility-vehicle-models-mobile-power-pack-battery
      Polaris is really the only big player trying right now with their electric side by side but it's a joke and their CEO is even on video saying it's bad but they still sell surprisingly lol. I'm happy to see the technology brought into our world as long as we don't eventually see the ICE phased out. Thankfully, I think if it does head that way then it'll be after I'm long gone lol but it's sad to think about. Personally, I love the character and emotion that an engine can give you and an electric motor just can't give you that same experience when you want to hear the rpms scream. Electric has its uses though and I can see why a lot of people would buy them, if they make the entire infrastructure work and design it to where you're not handicapping yourself by buying an electric ATV over your buddy's that have gas powered ATVs and want to go ride. I could ramble on for an hour but I'll stop here lol.
