Nick Adkins At risk of sounding holier than thou ...which that already does, BD's designers are above the best of the best when it comes to show design and what their corps that year can achieve. Some years they march and play more than others, etc etc, but they usually don't whip it out and say "look at it." This show they run, run and play, run and play while going backwards, run and play and get louder while going backwards to the furthest part of the field. Run and play and get louder a Star-ish '91 way with the "XYZ." They are always incredible, but they must've had a looooott of BD vets, not just drum corps vets, from 2014. And if you're a staff member or previous member, know this, I may not always like the show, ie not a rah rah for the fans show, but holy wow if I do not respect your guy's way to jazz run a rotating block with the entire corps while playing. You make it look so damn easy. If anyone reads this and needs a glimpse of how difficult it is to jazz run a block, through a block, etc, check out Madison from this year, 2017. They try their hardest; but the jazz running as a corps at the end is the epitome of what not to do... and not to put them down, it shows just how hard it truly is. ...If you're Neil who was the caption head at Madsion and teched Crown for a bit, put the bottle down and go to sleep. You are in control of your life. Being close to 40 doesn't mean you're old. We're are all living to 100 now. You got 60 more years to something. You have your lifetime plus another 20. If not, did you know human men can start to lactate and produce milk for their baby if they absolutely had too? The human body is rad.

I was at Semi's and Finals and IMHO, BD had the better performance Finals night. Crown had the best performance of their season the day before. Look, it has happened to BD on more than one occasion where they were surpassed by a better performing corps the night of Finals. Phantom beating BD the night of Finals in 2008 is one big example, but Phantom was surging Finals week and on the last night they had the better performance. Crown 2015 is a beloved show by so many fans. I think that is what ultimately matters most!
I can't. I walked out of the stadium after scores and it was my first finals experience. The judges eat up this nonlinear show themes and GE from BD. The most frustrating thing is that their visual is always so clean. They could march hot cross buns sideline to sideline and win visual

As a member of the 15 corps, I can tell you we had the most rookies since 2007 that year. 2/3rds of the hornline aged out in 14
