Do you balance tonearm like a 1600? Waiting for delivery of this beauty, got off EBay, a little used one. Arrived & no marks on plinth, metal work shines. Any suggestions on a good P mount?
Nothing wrong with P-Mount. If anything, it was a superior system - no setup, no alignment, just plug & play. It never caught on because the CD was starting to gain traction.
This turntable is lovely. I just bought such a model today.
I truly enjoy funk Firm turntable Mates
A Beautiful Technics Turntable!
Thank-you.
First track was perfect 1980 🥳

Is this available for purchase?
Could you please recommend a replacemnt cartridge or needle? Seems to me that there is a very limited potfolio on the market. many thanks in advance.
The Audio Technica AT-92 body will accept a number of stylii all the way up to MicroLine.
Got a AT3472 cartridge from LP Gear, they offer a Shibata stylus upgrade which I will try on my MA1. Anyone already have this combo?
Great vid, got me looking for this honey.
Is it possible to disable the auto electronic anti scate?
Set it to zero.
@@TurntableGuy; great!
A beauty
The only problem I see with this is the p mount arm. Could have had the ability to have great carts like the v15 series and Stanton 680 ee
There are many great Audio Technica and Technics P-Mount carts with Microline stylii.
Do you know anything about the M1 with the S-shaped tonearm? Is it well-made? How does it compare to the 1200?
Never personally seen an M1, but I'm sure it is as well built as the M2, M3 and MA1.
It is not a real wood veneer - it is a thick plastic type veneer. Regardless, it's a nice unit for sure.
Is it 100v? If so do you have to use a step down converter?
No, this is the North American 120v version.
@@TurntableGuy pretty rare, all we see over here are 100v that have been imported. Torn between this and the Kenwood KD 770d
Arm is special anti resonant plastic and not metal like the s shaped arm. This is a special table.
It's says Boron right on the arm
Ugh. P-mount.

@@TurntableGuy It did limit the number of cartridges you could choose from. So, I'll stick with "Ugh".
