I completely agree with the idea of a performance mode on all games. Kind of weird how more games don't do it, as most of them already have LODs generated for render distance and whatnot.

Usually people who have a gt1030 will not be able to run Fortnite even at 10 fps, because on such a system there is clearly no ryzen 5000 series and 16 gb of RAM. Fortnite really needs a good CPU and even on some rtx 3090 (4090-4080 is out of the question) there will be permanent microfreezes and staters. Do you want 100+ fps on low settings? Buy at least the r5 3600 and gtx 1050ti, you don't need more.. upd: and yes, I know that this is a GPU test, it's just that usually such tests have nothing to do with real builds
i have a suggestion: when testing a weak or old gpu try playing Stalker anomaly on it. Stalker anonaly is very well optimised and is a lot of fun. sometimes can be very intensive especially in water and gas clouds so it can be a challenge even for more powerful gpus. its also free btw

I actually have a gigabyte low profile gt 1030 2gb gddr5 model, and I get around 10-20% less frames than you do in this video. That probably means I'm CPU bound right? (I have an intel i5-2400) Also Fortnite chapter 4 pistol supremacy 💪

Lumen is much more than baked in pseudo RT anyway. It also increases the amount of polygons for background rendering out to about medium view distance when before it was low, making looking down, say, a mountain shows 3D assets instead of 2D. It makes things like grass and foliage look awesome from a distance, on top of the much improved light scatter and lighting effects. It even has reflections. You can choose the normal screen space or choose a lumen level that increases the distance and accuracy of reflections.
But yeah that's why I was so happy to test RT on a 1030, I know it doesn't support any other form of it. I even have an entire video on a 1060 with RT because that's the slowest GPU that actually supports it :) But you can run ray tracing with lumen in this game 😃

I didn't have any of those issues. I did however experience crashing when I had the RX 580 installed on this PC

for better performance turn down 3d resolution to like 70 to 80 for better fps. Turn it down more for even more frames

This card used to get 200 fps on low settings in older seasons, game is not that well optimized nowadays.
3:18 No, you cannot use DXR on a 1030. Nvidia allows DXR to work in their drivers down to GTX 1060 6GB and no lower. Not even the 1060 3GB.
