Hei , from Kaleva, Mi. I am a retired Ironworker/Welder. 58 yo. I run Stihl saws ( 360 Pro and 261 Pro ). I fell trees and sell firewood here in NW Michigan. I am of Swedish decent. I am following your channel for few reasons, you are an expert feller, you are very safe and your videos are entertaining without music or too much talking. Olla turvassa
Hi, nice to meet you! Kaleva is a Finnish 🇫🇮 word, originating from our mythology. Kaleva is a giant in our mythology. Thank you for nice feedback and welcome to my channel! Har det bra!
@@FINNISHLUMBERJACK Yes Kaleva is very Finnish town. Many names you would know, Petersen, Nirkanen, Puustinen, Lintula, Harkonen, Lindross just to name few of families here in my area. We all know the Finnish tale about Kaleva. The logging industry in the late 1800's brought many Finlanders to Manistee county. Marilla township ( where we live ) has a museum for the Finnish loggers who settle this area and never left. Very nice to meet you also. Har det bra
I am new to your channel and there is lot to learn from you. Visited several times Finland > Oullu, Rovaniemi, Ivalo and Inari järvi… I am using Husqvarna 120 Mark II which is maybe smallest and lightest saw from them. 😂 I had it for occasional work but as I have 800sqm garden with lot of trees over 80cm circumference it seems like I will need something bigger. Do you have some recommendations please? Best regards from Czech. Petr
You have talent but one thing you seem to have a habit of is walking out in front of a tree after you've started the back cut. Never, ever do that, some day you'll get killed doing that. The small trees with the red berries are called mountain ash, in Ireland we call them Rowan, 👍💪🪓🌲🇫🇮🇮🇪
Could you tell me about the tree grapple your are using to rig your ropes. It looks to be very useful. I have looked online for such device and and found many types, but nothing exactly like the one you are using. TY
As a viewer, I appreciate you explaining how you make your cuts to fell the trees in different conditions. Thanks!
