    I just tried my 1st - and last, set of Schwalbe tires and had a less than positive experience. I bought an HD 29" 2.35 Addix along with a matching Rock Razor Addix, and I have never had a set of tires so wobbly in my entire MTB life (since '87). Yes, both beads were fully seated and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get rid of the massive wobble. Schwalbe warrantied the HD, but said that the RR was "within their tolerances". Once I got the warranty tire in the mail, I immediately sold it on eBay and just threw the 50 miles used RR in the trash. Hopefully you have a better experience than I did!

      Dhf wt front
      Rock razor super gravity out back.
      No issues. Also balanced the rear tire. Love it.

      I had Schwalbe tyres for several years, thought they were awesome, but now I have Maxxis, not going back to Schwalbe anytime soon.

    I've only been using Schwalbe tires and I'm starting to think I should try a different brand, I've had two of my current generation Nobby Nic's come defective. It does seem like they have quality issues. How are the other brands on quality?

    the old Pacestar TB flatted easier on gravel and even on some slightly rougpaved roads in my experience. I'm buying my first TB super ground addix speed and hoping for a little more durability because of the extra weight.

    The Thunder Burt is Schwalbe's fastest mountain bike tire, according to their website. Seeing that I'm using my LaMere 29er more for exercise on road now, than for pleasure on dirt, I'm going to put a Serfas Drifter on the rear, but keep the Burt on the front. My bikes going to look like a chopper. Thanks for the clip.

    The claimed weight vs actual weight was a bit disappointing. How do these compare in terms of speed/rolling resistance to say S-Works Renegade?

    Excellent video, as usual. Have you tried the Vittoria Mezcal? One of the best XC, light-trail tire I've used.

    Hi I’m currently using the maxxis ikonis skinwall 29x2.20. Both my tires have a little wobble even though my wheels are true properly. Is this a factory defect? Is there a tire that is actually perfect and doesn’t wobble?

    I'm looking to put the thunder burt on my 3T Exploro to ride trails with. I'm between the Thunder Burt and the Panaracer DriverPro. I'm stuck with a manufacturer recommended clearance of 27.5 x 2.1" and these two tires are the ones I'm interested in the most. I'd be curious to see your review on the Panaracer Driver Pro!

    Just ordered 2 thunderburt super grounds 2.10 . Should ı use it front and rear or use it rear and raceking protectioj fronts? I also have crossking protection for front but ı feel like they dont have good rolling speed. I do some loose downhill and little rocky terrains sometimes.

      @@LoveMTB ok so Thunderburt 2.10 29er front and rear was so much fun fast but not enough front grip. Swithced front to crossking 2.20 protection and now feels slow. What do you recommend? 2.10 thunder in the rear and 2.20 raceking protection to the front ? Raceking 2.20 will have better front grip than thunderburt 2,10?

    Yeah on the overweight! I’ve gone through about 3 since they relaunched and all heavier. The RResistance is still great though... and why you ride them. More weight does have the benefit of being tougher in my experience. I can ride them until bald.

    Schwalbe is dissapointing me! I work as a bike mechanic an everytime schwalbe hast pattern in the middle that dosent fit correctly on the tire. I had the same one (Thunder Burt) on the Back Weel and it was Bumpy ASF*****.
    So i ride First place Maxxis which has excelent Quality, Specalized; super Light and Rolling restsiance is fas (Track) and at last i have one Mezcal Tire. But on this time i just buyed for 100€ new fast one (ride mostly in the City) Maxxis RE-Fuse 27,5 2.00 Love these. But there are a little scetchy whenit is wet, so i love then more =P
    How do you pump the Tire? Compressor? I just got the Schwalbe Tire Booster, that is easy now at home.

      Shame about Schwalbe. I have run their tires for a good bit. My girl has Thunder Burt both front and rear and hasn't had any problems. I am currently running the Mezcal in the front. Absolutely love the Mezcal.

    • @Fincher123
      @Fincher123 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      But Mezcal is not Schwalbe. And the rolling resistance areabout 25 Watt wich i feel when i was riding Specialized before.

      I was testing the Thunder Burt for two trainings in the mountains. They seem to roll very good but as you said mine are bumpy as well. I thought I had too less pressure inside but after reading this it seems that it's a schwalbe issue.

  • @sean0611
    @sean0611 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does schwalbe easily get punctured with things like thorns? I have a friend who uses schwalbe hans dampfs and he gets flats all the time. Meanwhile im here with maxxis ardents and i still havent had any

    • @sean0611
      @sean0611 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      LoveMTB huh ok, i mean were basically almost the same weight so we have the same pressure, same tire and rim width (i sold the rims to him), and he takes basically all the lines i take so idk...
