Maes Hughes is a really complicated man. The prime example of a society family man who just wants to love and support his family but happens to support a corrupt military and participated in what the real world would call horrifying war crimes. Is he good? Is he evil? Hard to tell, he's done both, but in the end it's hard to say what a man like Maes deserves for all he's done.

Perhaps Hughes should not have been speaking aloud while he was in the archive room. Sure he was alone but I would been cautious of EVERYONE/EVERYTHING, never assumed I was truly alone, and slept with one eye open. 🥴

He is just real person. He's not just always happy and annoying character.
