A part of the Cheng's Bagua Palm, the Bagua Spear is a renowned style of long-weapon Chinese martial arts. The spear moves in unison with the body - the spear head stabs as the shaft swings in sweeping motion.
Yan Lili is the fifth-generation inheritor of the Cheng's Bagua Palm. She has been practicing wushu, Chinese martial arts, for over 40 years. She started as a child in the gymnastics team, selected by the wushu coach in the second or third grade of primary school.

Traditional martial arts is all about weapons, the empty handed forms may look over exaggerated for hand to hand combat (and they are) but with a weapon, u do need these movements to wield a weapon

Chinese people live all over the world. Many fled China because they were martial artists and were forbidden to practice. Taiwan has a strong reputation for authentic Chinese martial art.

I really like Baguazhang - but bringing the Spear tip back towards the centre of your body does not impress me 1 iota - you can get yourself killed like this.

@eddygrunge4749 this is why it's not really supposed to be a single headed spear Baguazhang is a circular close quarters art the spear is long ranged & linear the solution is to just to use it more like a pointy bow staff personally I think the best weapon is the long sword or Jian because it utilizes everything that Baguazhang has to offer specifically Chang style I mean
