I spent 18 days road tripping around both Croatia and Slovenia in May. Both countries are beautiful and people friendly and helpful. May is a great time to go anywhere really as it's off season yet the weather is comfortable and less people around. Although next road trip is in America I am looking forward to coming back to this area in the future to explore.

I enjoy your videos, and the realness of kind of an "everyday" visitor going there. I've only been to Montenegro, have always wanted to go to Croatia and many of the other places you've been, so thanks for making these videos - they'll be good guides on "getting started" when I visit. I also think it's cool that you're attempting the language. I'm sure someone may have pointed it out to you before, but when you say "ulica", you're pronouncing it "you-lick-uh", whereas the u makes an oo sound, i makes an ee sound, and c makes a ts sound, so it's more like "oo-lee-tsa" :) Hope that helps

This was a lucky day, I can tell ya! Be happy to have had a cloudy day, because a day with only blue skies in summer in Dubrovnik is like you feel like a chicken in an oven.
Oh and fun fact: When you took a turn up this little alley and you passed the two guys one with the light blue shirt said:"But this situation is to be really to be pissed about!" XD (He was definitely angry about something!)...it gets lost in translation...obviously. ^^

Dubrovnik is WAS my favorite city in the world. Until Game of thrones turned it into a cess pool of obnoxious tourists and stupid tours. I long for the days when you could actually stroll around the streets without bumping into someone at every turn! And the prices are WAY expensive. I recommend people buy their drinks and snacks at markets outside the old city before going.

    • @tijanamatas8821

I'm sure the views are epic. But I already had a big hike to get back to my hostel. Also I could have paid for the tram but I wanted to get back to my room to work on my next video. Factoring in video editing rules my traveling experience right now.

      Here's my video from Zadar:
      th-cam.com/video/MM_NrXlEOsE/w-d-xo.html
I almost went to Krk (the island). I was checking accommodation, and then I realized it was going to be complicating trying to get around the island without a car and decided it sounded like too much hassle at the time. If I go back to Croatia sometime then I'll definitely plan to go there, as well as the Kirka waterfalls and a lot of other places. Croatia has so much to see.

is it possible to get lonely travelling ? The amount of people in the streets, conversation can be started anytime anywhere whilst travelling. i get more lonely with my same group of friends and the same way of life . I'm not Gabriel i know, so i can't answer for him But thought i'd share my opinion

@chosenone....since prayer is just wishful thinking you can stop worrying like a little baby about those terrible refugees. BTW many countries have taken in European refugees in the past when they were in need. Don't they offer history in your country? Also the UK in 2015 had 118,000 refugees in its borders. Why do you post such nonsense? Are you afraid of the dark too?

Good question. I suspect that Gabriel's passion for adventure and new lands outweighs any pangs of loneliness from solo travel.

chosenone4447 you're pretty much right except for the Japan and UK fact.. British has taken a lot and Japan is never an option because they can't just make the trip half way around the world in an island surrounded by ocean. Now lets talk about the other countries you mentioned.
      1. Saudi Arabia is a fucked up selfish country so they wouldn't take refugees there.
2.Europeans has presented the real humanity and generosity by taking thousands of refugees (by "refugees" I mean Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans and others from war-torn countries) but now a lot(hundreds of thousands) of people are flooding Europe from Africa who are from peaceful countries just to have a better living, which one day bring an economic disaster.
Although many of them didn't want to come to Europe but forced to flee by Human traffickers.
& Last but not the Least USA. You don't want people from outside, we understand that . That's fine. but first stop sending your troops to those countries and bombing them. First you send troops to middle east and start a war, kill millions for Oil and your friends in weapons industry and then you don't let them get shelter to your country. That's just fucked up shit. They would have stayed in their countries peacefully if USA didn't create the civil war in middle east by funding ISIS at the first place. Unlike you Europe isn't policing all over the world. bloody hypocrites.

I wish they never filmed Game of Thrones in Dubrovnik. Now its overfilled with tourists who associate this part of the country only with this tv show. Nothing is in croatia like it used to be. Should have also never joined the EU. Slowly our beauty is being taken away and put into hands of construction firms and private foreign owners. A shame.
