      He did take the same approach and the guy said that the probability of the universe coming into existence on it's own was less than 1 percent. But he wouldn't accept there was a 99% percent of the probability of the designer or even any percentage. It's called Ego my friend and egoistic people hide the truth behind ego.

      Asad Ali yeah I did make a mistake though, the chances of life arising in an infinite universe over infinite time is 100%, just the amount of time it would take is uncertain. That's why I started chuckling at the trap I'd let Muhammad get me into with my sloppy reasoning.
      All in good fun though, I enjoyed the conversation, first time I'd ever been to speaker's corner and it was much more interesting than expected.

      atheists built no civilization but built by theists, all Prophets & Messengers are Muslims! Islam is the only unchanged religion. The civilized world and humanity itself, its good & bad testified to the Truthfulness and Oneness of Allah, that Allah is All Wise, Just, Merciful, Present & Affecting with His Attributes, Guiding etc. Civilization is based on Islam or whats left over on it from the messages and it departs from a lack thereof. I have never heard anything like this in a debate: [I am not going to admit defeat and agree with you because you used my argument and have now "trapped" me in it.] So.....accept it that your argument is flawed? It's amazing how you will never find a sincere genuine atheist. At the bottom of it all lies arrogance.

    • @monroecorp9680
      @monroecorp9680 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, it's quite fair actually. In debate and rhetoric we use tactics, and those tactics are used often to influence the spectators, not the opponent.
      That is what Max was aware of - being trapped in by a tactic. Max shortcoming was that he didn't know how to articulate that.
      It would be like me saying, "so you believe in God, yeah? So you can accept that, you can accept that yeah?
      Well, God has done this this and this, yeah, so you're saying you personally justify this"
      Of course in this simple example you'd be able to then point out why I would be incorrect to draw such a conclusion from such a premise - and likely distinguish between what you would personally justify and gods will, among many other things. Simplistic yes, but that's the same sentiment.
      Max is more of a nerd than a talker, whereas this other fella talks for a living, so of course he knows to trap him. That doesn't make him correct or incorrect, but max is right to try and point out when he's being trapped in to a place that doesn't necessarily reflect his position but has been presented as such

    Thank you Max and Muhammad :)
    All I did see is two persons from different perspectives having a nice constructive debate. I They both did well. It's not about winning you know. Like any negotiation not in a lucrative manner but in a pragmatic manner which is based on IDEAS. I mean if I will have a debate with someone on ideas my first interest will be literally CHECKING what he has to say. It will end whether by reassuring what I already know or finding where I fail.. As Nietzsche said and I quote: ' Convictions are the ennemies of truth they're even more dangerous than lies".
    Would you people PLEASE consider that in the up coming stuff ?
    About those making it look like a Manipulative essai and they're Mr Psychology... I'm not defending anyone here I mean people are suspicous when ever they see a camera these days and since Muhammad is doing this for a quite long time and since we need to suppose some good in people we don't know :) I don't think that what they have on the channel is ALL what they've recorded... People are becoming too ofended these days, if it just appeared that Max is against his religious beliefs we will not this dense material to watch ... stop being too PERFECT and contradicting yourselves while claiming that others have bad intentions when you're only staying behind your screen ... Please get over it ... Max could just quit it any time he doesn't look to me as someone who's in it with his ego (although modern psychologists denied the ego idea but I used it for the common understanding) So thank them for what they've presented .
    I would add a question about any book suggestion about physics, logic, bilogy... I'm doing books reviews my self and it would be a good idea to pass some knowledge to who ever is interested. Thanks to who ever will read this comment and interact.

    The obvious question. How can something be expanding if it is infinite?

    • @Spudst3r
      @Spudst3r 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The universe itself may or may not be infinite, we don't know it's boundaries. Arguments for infinity usually rest on the idea of multiverses.
      The argument is the specificity of our random but precise physical laws may be evidence that all of them exist among many random types, and the infinity the idea of infinite different types of universes with different types of physical laws -- some that can support life and others that cannot. Our observation of this one is solely due to the chance that it happened to be one that could support our existence.
      No god is needed for this explanation.

    • @successfulinternetpsycholo7685
      @successfulinternetpsycholo7685 7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Hello? It cannot be infinite if it is expanding. Infinity has no limits. No beginning and no end. We do not understand infinity nor can we process it with our finite brain power. Infinity cannot become bigger. If it can then its not infinity.
      The multiverse theory just strikes of desperation to take God out of the equation. Science / Atheism has turned into a religion. It sounds so agenda based and things like this really expose it. Its hypocrisy, you are not willing to even entertain the idea of a Creative Force being an explanation for the fine tuning of the Universe because you claim there is no evidence for his existence (even though this in itself is one of many) but you are happy to insert this multiverse theory and run with it even though you have no evidence for it whatsoever.

      There is no universe, we live in a flat plane that has a dome like barrier blocking anyone or thing that tries to leave this plane. Outer space is a Hollywood manufactured illusion and lie being purported by the Satanic godless media and scientific community. They have spent hundreds of years brainwashing the world into a false globe Earth theory and universe and planets world view model with the intention of having all human beings believe that there is a huge infinite universe that is growing and that god doesn't exist.
      If you think what I'm saying is crazy look into the math for the curvature of the earth as well as experiments done to confirm it. The math proves the satanists as liars. No matter how hard they plan, the truth exposes them.
      Furthermore all outer space footage is simply cgi manipulated graphics, video, or pictures. Even the pictures of the Earth are cgi.

    that make up you causes a reasonable person to stop and think, wow, there is absolutely a creator. Just look at the placement of everthing, your eyes, nose, mouth and teeths, ears. Subhanallah, anyone with reason just knows it rightaway that Allah exists.

    Muhammed Hijab, many thanks to you for what you are doing. It is and should be seen by many many more people. This is the type of discussion that will lead to understanding and acceptance for different beliefs. I will say, that in Canada the probability of being put against a wall then shot at by multiple institutional pawns AKA coppers, is just as or less than the probability argument towards .99999999 repeating does not equate to chance. I believe in energy, this can be channeled in many different ways. Some find god then within that process, due to a strong mental focus and passion can find strength, knowledge, wisdom and structure. Sometimes people that don't have that strength within them to start with find it through a guiding hand aka God, known in many different forms. I will argue that creation is not known by us and the fact we are able to discuss it says a lot. This is why we as people need more free open discussions to accept others differences. The problem is we do not co-exist, for some reason we seem to push beliefs upon others. This is not going to work for humanity and it will take something that threatens all humans in order for us to put aside these deeply rooted beliefs and work as a whole. Maybe it is by chance or by a higher power that we came to be, at the end of the day no one has the proof of god or scientific facts for our creation. The human mind has been dulled down by media and programming. Energy is multi dimensional, what we call a soul can pass on many life times. This body and this physical world is only what we see through our current vessel. Everything is in tune, for every action there is a reaction. Time and space we do not have the mental capacity to fully understand/comprehend. Eventually through trial and error plus ingenuity with a purpose it will happen. The social structure along with the current monetary system / politics is only going to lead us down a dark road. Freedom, Genuine freedom combined with un regulated knowledge might just steer us away from that dark road. knowledge is power, one gift either by chance or by a higher power is the internet. It has connected people from all over the world, given people a voice to stand up against many tyrannical or unjust situations. At the end of the day nobody knows, until its proven through science or a alien craft lands outside my house, or Allah transcends the boundaries of all being and all knowing to a physical form, What is the point of arguing. Just follow your gut, make the right choice, tell the truth, help someone in need, don't cheat, don't steal, don't kill, be a good person. One simple thing to finish off, consider this when making decisions, " How would i feel if some one did that to me" Take care everyone and keep up the great discussions.

The numbers one calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion almost beyond question.”

    If following the logic of the argument (that the probability of the universe's creation by a random process is a tiny tiny tiny number) then this argument in itself brings into doubt the existence of an omnipotent God. If there is a probability that the universe was created by random chance - no matter how small of a number - then an all knowing and all powerful God could not simultaneously exist in such a universe since there is a chance - again no matter how small a number - that the universe was not created by his will.
    I am not trying to disprove the existence of God. I am only pointing out that although the argument is well worded, the logic is flawed. Too bad Max didn't catch this as it would have kept the argument going. This was one of the bests so far. Very civil and thought provoking.

    • @benjaminjukic7780
      @benjaminjukic7780 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There's an even easier way to counter this argument. The universe is not finely tuned. It randomly turned out the way it is and in these conditions life was created. That doesnt mean that if the universe had turned out differently that there wouldn't be life. There is probably an infinite amount ways the universe could have turned out where life would be possible, its just that it turned out this way. So its not finley tuned. Its just the way it is.

    This guy got something very wrong about his "laws", something most atheists and agnostics (and even theists) have trouble understanding.. that the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics explicitly states that the universe is always INCREASING IN ENTROPY (increases disorder) which is exactly opposite of what he purported that a spontaneous reaction would occur resulting in formation of complex molecules (decreasing entropy). This is one of the most basic tenets of physical chemistry: formation of molecules decreases entropy (non-spontaneous reaction - less disorder); splitting of molecules increases entropy (spontaneous reaction - more disorder). The man contradicts himself by asserting that complex molecules would eventually form by random collisions (decreasing disorder), while basic physics taught at the highschool level tell us that the universe is in a state of increasing disorder.
    For those that don't understand entropy/degree of disorder, please see images below for clarification,

    The real question is, why do you find it so important what the agnostic believes?

      I think its important to have discussions about what is right and wrong. So its important for someone to not accept only whats his intuitions are based upon but also the objective reality..which many finds each other spot on.

    When he talked about the universe probably wasn’t created by a force and gave the example of the marbles and in you’re hand he contradicts his belief because he rejects the ballon example with the Big Bang theory because he said the ballon or you blowing it wasn’t there but his example of the marbles in the hand is okay but you are using you’re hands to move the marble ... come on bro it’s highly probably that the universe was created my a force because I not only agree with the ballon example but I also agree with you’re example of the marbles because I do believe in a force that created the universe. So now I ask myself the question is this “force” that created the universe .. does the “force” have a name, is it intelligent? And I personally believe so.

However, his arguement is flawd because according to Radioactive Decay dating, the elements of which make up the observable universe all date back to a beganing. Meaning, before this particular event, the element's didn't exist. Thus the universe didn't have any mass. Which conclude the singularly. This kid is delusional.

    who created God? GOD 1.
    who created GOD 1? GOD 2.
    WHo created GOD 2? GOD 3
    we can go like this forever...or infinity. cos if you talking any logic/reasoning.....matter cannot exist (nor force) unless created by the external force of something else.
    so the only answer has to be infinity.
    infinity has no start, nor beginning. therefore there cannot be a single creator. we and everything around us arose from random mixture of stuff in this never ending infinity where anything will occur at some point in time in infinity. this is all we can say

    • @Arrowsentco
      @Arrowsentco 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kenny X “we and everything around us arose from a random mixture of stuff”
      Umm....where did that “stuff” come from?? Either someone put those stuff there or they just “became”. And things can’t just “be” because then we would have tons of things just bursting out from nowhere everyday right in front of our eyes. And if we arose from a random mixture of some random substances wouldn’t this “infinite” universe(s) be flooded with an infinite number of creatures all infinitely circling around us?? And if that’s the case, with a world so infinite and random what is the probability that no one has found us or that we haven’t found them?? In a world so infinite what is the probability that we( planet earth and it’s inhabitants) haven’t been crushed by some random star for an infinite number of years if there is no external force dictating exactly what happens in this infinite universe.
      We muslims don’t believe that the world is infinite. But we understand the concept and are able to argue and make our point. That’s why we don’t claim that there is a second god that created God. This world is limited. Time is limited and the number of gods are exist are limited because there’s just one.
      Just imagine, an INFINITE number of objects floating around and colliding every second, and an INFINITE number of stars bursting into flames and nothing has yet destroyed our plane for the 4.5b years that it has been around, not even a star has burned a little close to us and engulfed us in its flames. And you think it is all coincidental??

    • @eg12p34
      @eg12p34 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When you say who created "God", you are not referring to a "God" anymore because in this case he would be a creation, when you keep going with that infinite regression theory: Who created God's God, then who created the one before that.... etc, then there is no God and we are all creations. Which brings a point, what was powerful enough to start life? And what was powerful enough to start it? And what was powerful enough to start even a higher, older cause that created that?... etc. You will find that your brain ends at a deadline, which will bring you back to the first step.
      Conclusion: There is only one God, who wasn't created, but started all creations. Any other theory has nothing to do with logic, but with pure ignorance.

      @maniackyd6612 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @1piece473
      @1piece473 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ramadan Masri i believe you are a Muslim? Well in Islam it's always said that you don't Know when you will die and so you should always expect that you might die today.. so will you believe that you are living today just because it's probable? The probability that you will die today is 0.0000001%.. 99.999999% that you will live today.. but it still doesn't mean that you won't die today is it?

    • @1piece473
      @1piece473 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ramadan Masri and it doesn't matter that's not the point of the argument

    • @1piece473
      @1piece473 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ramadan Masri even according to your numbers I did the math again and the probability is 0.0002% that you will die in any day, ofcourse now you are alive but I'm talking about the fact of what's the probability that you will die tomorrow.. you see it's not probable that you will die tomorrow, but that doesn't make you have a strong believe that you will live tomorrow. We should always say we don't know

    • @1piece473
      @1piece473 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ramadan Masri I didn't reject the probability that him living tomorrow is high, infact that's exactly my point. But it doesn't mean that he should *believe* that he would live tomorrow.. eventho we know it's probable and I agree that it is because it's still not a fact that he will live tomorrow, it's just strongly probable.. Islam taught you somethings that you don't use and that is to say that everything is possible. And I'm not an atheist, I'm agnostic.. atheism believes god doesn't exist which they don't have proof of. Agnostic people just believe they don't know. I hope this clarifies your confusion. I believe the idea of God is probable, can fit logically, but it doesn't mean it's true.

    sorry there are serious problems with big bang theory that could break it for example hyperflation it means that at some point it expaned faster than light witch would contradact current physical knowledge soo therefore we cant acualy say that stuff that happend before hyperflatin were because physics then were different even time it self is faster or slower depending on mass and speeds for example photon moveing at speed of light is at start middel and end at same time. also as i said before it cant be said it can be 0-100 % depending on numbers of diferent univerises. also now about your argument that its weak argument that you have been shoot by alot of bullets and all missed you is not weak argument at all. in fact its a fact because if you would been hit by bullets you would been hit by bullets and saying im here because bullets did not hit me after being shoot means bullets did not hit you otherwise you would be dead. your logic there is realy flawed. on what bases you say that by not being abel to get info from out of our universe we could make any conclusions about outside universe. all real sientists would disagree with that. it has main basic problems outside our universe constants dont need to be same there fore we can not say anything about outside of our universe. its widely know fact that we living in 4 dimensional room would not be abel to see 5 dimensional being. no you cant make conclusions about whats outside based on what inside easiest example is closet in space in albert einstin relativity if you are in closet in space thats moveing you wont be abel to understand if you are moveing. i must admit that you are clever spokeman and you easily foul people like him.
