Great looking car! Been detailing as a hobby for over 30 years. Tried probably 20 + products. Spent $1000's over the years and it all comes down to a couple products. Collinite, Duragloss and Jescar. Everyone uses the Jescar/845 combo but people should try the Jescar/915 combo. The owners of Collinite stated the 915 has better durability than the 845. For a in between wash I use Duragloss Aquawax which in my opinion is better and cheaper than beadmaker. Love seeing fellow Detailers do their work. Thanks for the time and effort you put into this video. Stay healthy from your neighbor on the other side of the pond(USA).
Hi John, great to see you join us. Collinite & Jescar (Menzerna) are not massive in the UK. We have a couple of really great young companies that have not made the move to the USA yet but look out for Garage Therapy products when they finally get there. They will blow you away. Stay safe & thanks for taking the time to comment😎👍
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer wasn't that impressed with the garage therapy shampoos. People rave about them. Not bad but would rave about them. Tried the wheel one and the decon one. Wasn't that impressed
I find your videos really informative 👍. I have a dark red Jaguar and I was going to pick up some 845 to give her some winter protection. I'm no professional and don't have access to all the products you use. Is there a product I can use that I can apply by hand without treating the paintwork first that will give me good winter protection? Many thanks
Hello Dave, 845 is an old but still good product that will give good protection & make the red pop on your Jag. There are lots of products on the market and you could spend a fortune trying them all and find little difference in most of them. One of the brands I have played with this year that has really delivered for me is the Soft99 range. Check out some of their products on my videos. I don’t think you can go wrong with their waxes but like most products they need a little help through the winter months so a good detail spray after every wash should keep the Jag looking it’s best through to spring. Hope that’s of some help. Any questions on any of my videos then just drop me a comment and I will always get back to you

James Bartlett hi James, a couple of suggestions, 1st instead of Adams strip shampoo give Garage Therapy Zero a try. It’s a much better product. Have a look at the last couple of videos and you will see just how good it is. Any issues or worries then let me know. As for a polish, my view would be use Autoglym resin. That will cover up a lot of any swirls Then carry on with the sealant and wax as per video. I would give the Autoglym a day to properly flash off before covering with anything else. Hope this helps,
ashley stratton Hi Ashley, thats a new one on me. You may be right but I got it out of the pack and right on the car. I applied lots of lubrication and it worked perfectly. I know you should follow the process with paint correction but I didn’t have the time and it came out perfectly. In fact by using Bead Maker as my sacrificial layer it has lasted to this day. I am planning to again complete a full decon on the Audi followed this time with correction in the next few weeks. Thanks for your kind words & support 👍
Hey there, great video! As a mobile detailer I cannot wait until the next day to wax it. Any suggestions on a spray wax or can I apply 845 about 1-2 hours after applying the sealeant?
Hello Anthony, my experience is that if you apply the wax too soon then you don't let all the carry solvents in the sealant to evaporate properly. I love this combo but if I was a mobile detailer and time is money then this isn't a combo I would use. Have you considered Garage Therapy 3CS followed by Garage Therapy Sigma. Its an awesome combo and one I used all year on my wife's Audi. If your customer is a regular then it also make cleaning easier next time as road grim struggles to stick
@@drivedetailedmtl I don’t think you should add anything on to a product until it has properly cured. I have no experience with turtle wax as it’s a brand that has never appealed to me sorry. I have used a couple on my channel and used one on my M40i a couple weeks ago and it works well
Obsessive Car Detailer do contaminants stick to Nanoskin autoscrub sponge like they do to a clay bar? Last weekend I clayed my black car. It picked up a lot of tar. I couldn't use tar remover effectively because of black colour (couldn't see it).

@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I personally love 845 it is incredibly long lasting, but being solvent based is it not a waste of time layering it over another sealant as the 845 will take the lower sealant off?
@@glidb4 Hi its not something I have experienced. The first time I saw it used was by Matt Moreman on Obsessed Garage then a few years latter by Pan the Organiser
Hi, it will depend on a number of things. Hope that is of some help
the Menzerna (Europe) power lock you are using is a different formula to the Jescar (USA)Power lock plus. You will get better results using USA version due to different polymers used which bonds better with colinite 845
Are you sure about that? Was thinking of buying the Menzerna power lock as Jescar is not available in Europe... Or do you know if any other sealant that plays nice with 845?
Hi Nick, this is from Jeff Silver from Jescar. “Power Lock was actually a MenzernaUSA product that we introduced to the detailing market. After Menzerna requested to offer this product to customers outside of the North American market, we decided to relaunch our MenzernaUSA products under our Jescar Finishing Products brand. The Power Lock Plus is an improved version of the MenzernaUSA Power Lock with additional polymers for extra durability and longevity. Hope this information is helpful. If your car is in relatively good condition you can use Meguiars Ultimate fast finish as this is a true sealant and top it with Colinite 845 which works well.

Hi Nick, yes that is the same product we get here in Australia. The jescar Powerlock plus works better as the added polymers used chemically bonds better with colinite 845. Not often do you find different products chemically compatible, however in this case jescar powerlock + and 845 do.
