I'm starting a metal fabrication business with my only son, a very seasoned and certified welder, and it's up to to equip and setup our shop in his roomy 2 1/2. car garage. Even thou automotive is not yet on our list I found your featured tools and their applications very helpful. Thank you for sharing and my next stop is more vids from you guys.
I believe I seen every TV show and video that you have made, and to me there is just no one else to compare your craftsmanship with! Natural bad ass fabrication
That dollie you made from the old tie rod would be very handy. Just thought of this while watching your video, a couple of ball hitches of different sizes, would make good post dollies as well. And you can mount them upside down on a hitch reach, for even more versatility in tight areas.
Always enjoy watching the magic you produce the handy tips tricks and custom tools ⚒️ you use are amazingly helpful for everyone trying to do what y’all are doing thank you for sharing and inspiring us to get in the shop and do something
great idea on the unconnected vice, always had just once attached. I use extra-hands vice for my electronics, so the same idea, never thought of it for metal work.
A lot of information on how to use the different tools in metal fabrication , I've watched you for a long time sir and your now a " Professional " in your experience metal fabricator your Awesome my friend ! Thanks .
Thanks for the tips! When I watch the show I'm trying to learn metal shaping from you so any tips or advice are welcome! Thanks again, love the show!!!
Good morning, excellent suggestions. I bought a couple of bowling balls at a garage sale, I have them mounted on pedestals for different shaping and forming. Thanks for a great video. You take care and good luck.
Need more of this stuff from you, doing a 1965 ford f 100 that needs alot of body work ,next weekend going to eastwood and buying they're hammer and dolly kit.
Excellent information Scott. It would be great to see more videos like this from a professional metal artist like yourself. It would be wonderful to see a video on your bead roller and an explanation on the different dies, also what to look for when choosing the between the different brands and styles of bead rollers. The same types of videos for plenishing hammers and english wheels would be awesome to see as well. Great job!
Hey brother, that platform behind you where the F100 is sitting on is very worthy of a how to video. I’d love to build on for my barn-shop. I have a few projects where having something like that would make building them way better and easier. Thanks for what you do man, I really appreciate your experience and instructions
You bet. If you're interested in metal shaping, check out a lead bag and some hand tools. It'll give you a great feel for manipulating metal, and they're tools you'll always use, no matter how advanced you get. We'll make another video with some mid level stuff you can check out soon.
Thanks to Tim for the excellent compilations/editing cameramanship is brilliant. Cooperation is good. Wanting to show us the detail and not getting in the way. Brilliant little shorts build the excitement the for the finished masterpiece ie the F600. 👍👍
Question, when you make your own dollies. Do you oil quinch harden them or what do you use? Woukd love to see more content on your knowledge and techniques of this artform! ❤
Non-metal guy here (but will confirm with Scott and Mark) - Probably not necessary if you're just using them with hand tools. I'm not even sure we've done that with stuff we use on the power hammer.

A drill press vise is very handy too. It’s heavy, low profile and is good for holding things for welding.
Good tip!
Yes I use the one on my Bridgeport all the time!
Shrinker and stretcher!! Never even thought of that. Great advice!!!

I really miss forming metal panels.. unfortunately my wrist can do it anymore after years of swinging a hammer and dolly
