Not a “random” vlog, but exactly what slice of life is about. Very enjoyable. Thank you for taking us along on your week journey. If you do a Titanic week in April, I will be very excited for it!
I've been catching up on your latest stuff and it's all got a certain freshness to it. More joyful, more fun, and also cozy like hanging with a friend. Much love 💖
I love these vlogs so freaking much. Also, my husband is almost 40 and LOVES Lego. I bought it for him once as a gift and he was immediately obsessed, he also listens to audiobooks while building. It's an expensive hobby for the intricate ones but they are so cool. Not a nerdy thing, imo.
I went down the LEGO rabbit hole toward the end of last year after not really playing with LEGO sets since I was a kid and it is so good for my mental health. More than anything it keeps me away from doomscrolling on my phone. It’s wonderful!
Gavin thank you so much for validating me! I know you have no idea who I am but I'm just another bookish person who often deals with feelings of shame about my introverted, calm, gentle nature but your videos always make me feel understood. Cheers to us nerds!
I feel like planning / organization / to-do lists are so personal for what works best for people. I’m not very good at rigid routines because the idea of repeating something the exact same endlessly is boring to me. So sometimes my plans / to-dos are in my notes app, sometimes Notion, sometimes on paper. It’s whatever feels right on the day. If Word works then it works ✨
Loved this, Gavin! And that Lord of the Rings Lego set! 😯 I love it! And you definitely picked the perfect spot for it. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Hi, Ash and Tobu!!!! They always steal the show with all of their cuteness! 🐈⬛️ 🐈⬛️😻😻
I owe you, Gavin. I had read The Lord of the Rings at the age of 14 but the books were sitting on my shelf ever since (45 long years). No idea what made me pick up The Fellowship of the Ring last week but I couldn’t be happier right now. While getting more obsessed with the story by the hour I was looking for reading vlogs on youtube. Your vlog popped up on my timeline and I got sucked in. It was magical following you along while I was reading it as well. I’m still not done though and will watch your vlog once again for sure. You have gained a subscriber because it seems that your content and your vlogs are exactly what I need right now :)
Definitely don’t stress over not having an upload for Feb 18th because you have the same amount of uploads as a non leap year with your upload on the 29th. Take it for yourself!
Enjoyed hanging out with you while you did lego and i finished my first paint by numbers (it took me a few hours a day for 6 days!). For the valentine's video instead of taking off an item of clothing you put on an item of clothing. Think Joey when he wears ALL of Chandler's clothes in Friends. Also loved the LOTR video. I now want to binge read and binge watch the series ❤
I’ve wanted the Rivendell lego set ever since it was announced and this has made me desperate to get to it! Love all of the details in it and I feel like you did such a good job in a good amount of time🤩 You could always do public reading sprints on the day that you miss an upload? No pressure or anything, just a thought in case you need something!
You're a better person than me. The thought of having a "task" every single day of the month would fill me with such dread. But at least most of your tasks are all fun and enjoyable 😅
I really enjoyed hanging out with you on this one 😊 The cats are such cuddle monsters 🥰 Love the new living room arrangement- very cozy looking 👍👍 Also- now I want to try and build a Lego kit 👀
This video is PERFECTION! First the LOTR vlog & now this slice of life vlog with Rivendell Lego building and kitty purring 🥹🤌🏻🤌🏻 More of this in 2024 Gav, we’re loving it 🤍🖤🤍🖤
I loved this, and that Lego set is brilliant! I am living for this LOTR era! The way that I literally cheered when you were planning February uploads and you said "I can skip an upload. That's fine" YES, GAVIN!!!!
I recommend Delinquent Daddy and Tender Teacher as an amazing BL series. It's a very heartwarming story about a single dad and his relationship with his son's teacher.
We haven't had internet at home for over a week. We binged the Lord of the Rings movies. Now I want to read the books again. I usually watch the movies every year during Christmas. Not sure why...but I love doing that. loved your LOTR video. :)
The Lego was amazing!! I definitely want to see a Titanic one. My husband and I have one of those wooden book nook things that we need to make that we bought like 6 months ago lol.
Wow! I am so impressed with your lego skills! I put together lego kits for my son all the time (and I definitely listen to audiobooks while doing them), but I superglue them all because he plays with them like toys, and I'll be damned if I'm going to spend Hours building Legos just for them to smash 15 min after I'm done!!! Lol
This was a great vlog, no need to apologize! As atmospheric as the LOTR vlog was, this was a complete tonal shift and it felt just as fun but completely different! Building lego always looks like so much fun to me but I just don't know what I would do with it after it was built. Kudos to you for finding a good place for it!
You are the Lego GOAT, Gavin! I am old as dirt, and I haven't read much fantasy, but this has totally inspired me to finally read The Hobbit. Thank you!
I LOVED your LOTR's vlog, soooooooo much!!! I was so excited for you and I was also completely envious and would love to have that experience one day. I am currently making my way through LOTR as a read along with Andy Serkis, I started it in December, it has been years and years since I first read them. I splurged and bought some fancy copies of the books but then I was worried about ruining them so I put them away on the bookshelf and went and bought less fancy versions 😁 Another of my fav Tolkien books is Roverandon, it was a story he wrote when his son Michael lost his toy dog at the beach, the dog had a delightful adventure!
I've never been a Lego girlie but this looked so much fun 🥺🥺🥺🥺 I love the idea of ordering food, listening to an audiobook while the hands are busy. When you said it's 3 am tho 😂😂 I was shocked. Also love the creative prosecces of what videos you want to do 🎉 I saw the library silent challenge on my feed and can't wait to watch. Thank you for this cozy vlog ❤❤
I love these slice of life vlogs sooo much Gav! Love the new layout of your living room, it’s so cozy! And wow that Lego set turned out so cool! 😍 I’m a huge fan of the content planning part of this video, it’s so fun to get organized and make video plans, I love seeing your thought process behind planning everything out 😍👏 it makes me inspired to do the same
Omg your living room looked exactly like mine, it’s a bit scary! Same kind of tv, same coffee table that opens up (which we also got rid of!) and even the same color/style sofa and floors! 🤣🤣🥲
I was watching the video and tge part where you were sitting on the couch with the kitties. I started hearing a person's voice. Took me a minute to realize it was something you were either watching or listening too. Though a podcast had somehow started playing in our kitchen. Even though there is music playing on the TV 😂😂
LOVE THIS VLOG!!! 30 minutes in and I love it! AND I love to see you doing something for you!! I'm will watch the lord of the rings vlog after this. AGAIN. It's in my favorite BookTube-vlogs list, stuff I can watch over and over again. ❤
You powered through that lego build! Also you reshuffling the living room has made me crave a new bookshelf so I can do a little bookshelf reorganisation. I am hoping to read legends and lattes next week and maybe then I'll move straight on to bookshops and bonedust if it's good. But it's good to know the prequel is even better.
I so loved watching u dabbling back into lego. Don't worry, there are many adults, myself included, that still build. I'm particular to the lego modular buildings. It gets a little expensive but such fun. Happy building!!!❤
Your cat is adorable and was purring so loudly- too sweet! ❤️ I also have those additional Tolkien books but haven’t started them yet - feeling a little intimidated 😅 also, I love your new setup/arrangement! It looks so good! 🎉
Wowww that LEGO set is gorgeous 😍 I never got into LEGO because I thought it was like a puzzle and you had to figure out yourself which pieces go where, and that always seemed so intimidating and impossible to me 😂 but I recently learned that those sets come in all those different bags, with instructions, so it isn't as intimidating as I thought. I still don't think I'll be picking it up as a hobby, my reading and crafts are eating up enough of my money as it is, but at least now I understand how other people can do it. I really enjoy these vlogs of yours, it's not random imo, it's just showing a different side of you!
You seemed to really be enjoying yourself building Rivendell. And the last of The Hatmakers series! What a fantastic way for the publishers to promote.
I am impressed you got it done as fast as you did. I am terrible at putting together Lego with instructions. I can free build just fine but an actual real set? Nope. It turned out beautifully! These slice of life vlogs are really fun to watch.
I love Legos! I am so glad you enjoyed building your set. It probably won’t be your last. I built the movie theater several years back and had so much fun doing it I had to continue. I loved Legends & Lattes and Bookshops & Bonedust. They are so wholesome and they are just what my heart needed. I loved this vlog! You continue to create top tier content!
Love that you found Lego so relaxing and wow, it’s beautiful! I do jigsaws for the same reason - the world just disappears for a few hours which is sometimes what you need
I am obsessed with the Lego set!! What a fun cozy time reading and putting it together. I must say you are dedicated. I have a miniature bookstore half done from Christmas and it is still a mess in the corner of my room. You are inspiring me to pick it up again.
I’m so happy you had the time to meet up with your friend after so long. Last year I got back in contact with a high school friend I also hadn’t seen for 6 years. And now I got to be her first son’s very first babysitter, and we will go on a vacation together in October. Proof that losing contact doesn’t mean a lost friendship!
I love these videos, I had it playing on TV while doing some annotating for study. ❤ Rivendell turned out beautiful!! As for the Tolkien books, I HIGHLY recommend you read them!! You should definitely read The Children of Hurin next, it's one of Tolkien's darker tragic stories and wonderfully read by Christopher Lee in audiobook form!
I got so excited when you pulled out the lego set! I haven't done lego in years but for Christmas I asked for a lego set for the Going Merry and I still haven't done it 😅 I'll definitely start it soon🙏
I loved watching you build the Rivendell lego set. I wish I had the money for it myself I really enjoy how all the different pieces can grow into something so detailed xx

You say nerd like it's a bad thing, but I think we're all just happy to see you enjoying something so thoroughly!
You deserved the damn break from marathoning all those series. You need to do these kinda vlogs more often!
A one hour vlog? What did we do to deserve it
Just being you 🫶
Not a “random” vlog, but exactly what slice of life is about. Very enjoyable. Thank you for taking us along on your week journey. If you do a Titanic week in April, I will be very excited for it!
I've never gotten a Lego set before but you are really tempting me with that Lord of the Rings one. Its so pretty
It really is a gorgeous set, I would LOVE for you to try building one, I think you’d be awesome at it (and it’s so fun)
A cat’s purr = one of the best sounds in the world 😻
I agree, and Ash is a loud purrer
Loved seeing you building and enjoying your Lego so much! I hope you get more sets! 😜
I need my fingers to recover first and then on to the next one haha
6000 Lego pieces & 2 cats. I was scared for you!! 😂
I've been catching up on your latest stuff and it's all got a certain freshness to it. More joyful, more fun, and also cozy like hanging with a friend. Much love 💖
Aw thanks so much 🫶🏼
in love with your slice of life vlogs they're just like video calling friends
You most definitely are a nerd and I LOVE IT! 🫶🏻
Please keep doing these! I absolutely love them and you!! ♥️♥️♥️

Thank you for being cosy with me 🥰
The cat's purr summarizes this level of cozy.
Gavin thank you so much for validating me! I know you have no idea who I am but I'm just another bookish person who often deals with feelings of shame about my introverted, calm, gentle nature but your videos always make me feel understood. Cheers to us nerds!
Loved this vlog! Please do more of these 🫶🏻 It’s super cosy!

diiied at it suddenly being 3am LOL. also really enjoyed Mimi's Tales of Terror as well!
Loved this, Gavin! And that Lord of the Rings Lego set! 😯 I love it! And you definitely picked the perfect spot for it.

Love these long chilled random vlogs. So enjoy watching you plan out your month and always here for some Lego content!! ❤
Binging Gavin 1 hr+ vlogs after midnight >>>
I am hoping you’re in your cozy slice of life vlog era, loving these vlogs!!!
I owe you, Gavin.

Haha, there is like a 1000 cat toy grave yard under my couch that I can’t reach. 😂😂😂😂 I love how the room looks it’s nice.
I’ve wanted the Rivendell lego set ever since it was announced and this has made me desperate to get to it! Love all of the details in it and I feel like you did such a good job in a good amount of time🤩

Your Lego project would be a good reading sprints project. Listening to an audio book while you put Rivendell together
The Lego was amazing!! I definitely want to see a Titanic one. My husband and I have one of those wooden book nook things that we need to make that we bought like 6 months ago lol.

I loved watching you build TLOR set! It came out amazing!! Yes, please do Titanic set.
Wow! You're so impressive. I love watching you build lego sets. ❤
You need some of those rubber finger covers for sorting paper to do that much Lego at once. It looks really cool :-)
I love these slice of life vlogs sooo much Gav! Love the new layout of your living room, it’s so cozy! And wow that Lego set turned out so cool! 😍

Really love this kind of vlogs 🖤
I finally have spare time from uni to binge your videos from the past three weeks 😆
Okay, Gavin, I'll buy a Lego set, you don't have to twist my arm lol. This was such a cozy vlog.
I was watching the video and tge part where you were sitting on the couch with the kitties. I started hearing a person's voice. Took me a minute to realize it was something you were either watching or listening too. Though a podcast had somehow started playing in our kitchen. Even though there is music playing on the TV 😂😂
Great video, Gavin! I'm loving your slice of life videos!
Thank you! They've accidentally become something I want to do every now and then, so I'm glad you enjoy them 🥰

That Lego set is extraordinary 😮
Lego is kind of addicting. I can never stop until the thing is completely done 😂 it looks absolutely stunning, but your poor fingers 😢
Great vlog Gav! Love the new style of the living room, so nice and cosy! Really enjoyed seeing the planning of videos etc 🙌🏼
Ugh this was honestly perfect! Exactly what I needed. So cozy and still bookish but less pressure than a book-heavy video 😊😊😊
I love these vlogs. It's so nice to see you relaxed and just hanging with the furry boys.
Slice of life vlogs are the best 👌🏻
For the book/clothing unhaul you need to do what Joey does in Friends to Chandler and wear all of your clothing! 😝
Seeing you build the Lego set and enjoying it made me so happy! Lego can be so relaxing 🥰 thank you for this cosy vlog Gavin!
I have so many vids to catch up on, but starting here because these slice of life ones make me so so happy!
I appreciate you 🙏🏼
I think this style of vlog is great. You really lightened my mood a lot)
I’m proud of you 🙏🏼
I LOVE making legos while listening to audiobooks! That and jigsaw puzzles. The set is gorgeous, it looks great!
Ok I’m glad you love doing them too 😄
I love legos so much and I am so happy you found joy in doing them! Please always share your lego builds in vlogs from now on!
Yesss! Love these kinds of videos! Please don't stop making them. 💕
I love that LOTR lego set! I’m currently doing the Lego set for Jurassic Park (T-rex attacking the car scene) it’s only 1,212 pieces but it’s so fun 😊
Love all your cosy content recently Gavin! 📚
I got so excited when you pulled out the lego set! I haven't done lego in years but for Christmas I asked for a lego set for the Going Merry and I still haven't done it 😅 I'll definitely start it soon🙏
I love this so much and I haven’t even watched it yet 🙌😂 1 hour of cosy time
Let's goooo
I loved watching you build the Rivendell lego set. I wish I had the money for it myself I really enjoy how all the different pieces can grow into something so detailed xx
These are always some of my favorite videos. 🥰
15:28 yes Gavin! Love The Script 😍😍😍 great song choice!
