One of the purposes is to help us stay to God depending on the circumstances whether it be in times of peace or war. To Trust in Him is vital in all ways.

What an incredibley excellent video. Truly you two brothers are excellent teachers. Sometimes I feel I am in literal hand to hand combat with satan. Trust me it's literal because he attacks me when I am at my worst psychologically. I've nearly taken my life save it be by my wife and the Lord God almighty's intervention. This puts everything into perspective. Thank you so much for what you have explained here. I love you both. Brother Powers

Great lesson and making the Scriptures alive. We have Amalickiahs nowadays, or at least his cousins. They do not hide their intentions and some are very clear lately.
You are right, we should not get discouraged and want to give up. As you said do not fear trust in God and have faith in Jesus Christ. I watch a program where a young woman was found almost in a coma due to drunkness. She explained to the firemen that she had been in that sort of coma a few times. It is the only way she has to be oblivious of the struggles she goes through in her life. She added that she knew the rescuers would come and help her out. This is so sad. Yes, the rescuers will always come but one day it might be to late. They really had a hard time to have her come back to consciousness, this time. We are really blessed to have the Gospel in our lives. Thank you for God bless you. (watching from France)

Keep in mind how exasperated Moroni was from battles already with Lamanites including those under Zerahemna. By the time Amalickiah enters the scene, Moroni is rightly grieved. The rending of the garment in the Bible is known as Kriah (Hebrew) which means tearing. The custom of tearing or rending the outer garment is an external sign of grief. Captain Moroni has already experienced great losses to his armies and is now seeing the threat to liberty and right to worship. Grieved by these threats, he rends/tears (Kriah) his outer garment and thus creates his title of liberty to which his Nephite compatriots rally around.

probably was also grieving about having to turn his sword toward his own countrymen, even if they were Traitors.

I always like the war chapters. Even in primary especially the boys like the war chapters. I believe I like it so much because I see clearly that I am still at war and will always be at war until the battle is won.

This war is very real, and the outcome affects our eternal lives. Like the Nephites, we are “inspired by a better cause,” which is “our Goal "

Yes we are all unique made in Our LORD and our Saviors' image ... we all have Devine in us and because we are keeping our freedoms to chose ( agency)we can grow into amazing people especially when we focus on good works, and service , loving others.
15 year olds are possibly the strongest , greatest, people on Earth. It's all about the choices we make.
Chose God and you can not fail

We can learn from Moroni that he put on his armor and then he knelt in prayer. That armor we learn is the full armor of God.

Amackliah reminds me of another certain Second in command in the modern era. Started low key by simply associating with power figures, then by using those figures' influences slowly rose high in the ranks of government. Finally without an ounce of qualification and despite years of corrupt leadership, became second in command of the nation. Then right before the next election, with the help of other power political leaders, forced the First in command to step down and allow them to become the leadership nominee without a single legit vote. As they smile and wave to their complacent mobs, who no doubt stand ready to start burning cities again if this person loses. Pretty dang sure this person is as much of a sociopath as Amackliah was.
History is repeating itself, and yet there's no Captain Moroni to counter this new threat.
