Hi Shannon & Alan, thank you for sharing recent videos about Myanmar. You both seem so kind toward the local people, and I’m sure every Myanmar abroad who can’t return home for any reason would be moved to tears. Every Myanmar would feel a deep longing for home.
Hi just to clarify. Firstly, the metro train you guys seen at 5:55 , it’s A Spanish CAF DEMU train bought by an Aid Loan from Japan. 11 of these ones have been bought which will be in the fleet for the circular line starting 15th November. The other train at 10:36 is also basically the same train, just modified to be an express train with 19 of them around. I’m pretty sure there’s also another 4 or so express trains made completely in Japan which you didn’t manage to capture. Secondly, the old train you were taking around the city is an ex-JR train donated by Japan. Funnily enough, it used to have air conditioning (the vents on the ceiling) but the government decided to shut it off back in 2015, WHICH is the time that more and more tourists started visiting the country.
shannon was so sweet and looked so genuine towards that lady on the train you could just see it in her face that was so sweet ! love you guy;'s videos!
Great! it central station is built by British. nowaday it's still Great, coz of coupe deserted city.my young time we took circular train and we play there.wish you both well.
Surprised that the circular train is still 300 kyat, same as 5 or 6 years ago. Why didn't you get off at any of the stations. We got off three times, visited two wonderful temples, market and white elephants. The Drug Elimination Museum was a huge three story building, extremely interesting and we were the only ones there. The Train was much more crowded when we were there. Great to remind us of our trip. Oh, and remember what I was telling you, the lady never heard of Scotland. Haha
they dont know to jump on and off at the stations and i even made a video on that as i live and work here and am a youtuber. never mind they will learn and have fun
Oh good! You should also go to Pha-An and Pagan, which used to be popular tourist attractions. Also, if you somehow manage to come to Mawlamyine where I live, I could be your free tour guide! I would be very greatful to meet you guys.
Hi Shanon and Alan I watched your trip to Afghanistan 🇦🇫 amazing I’m from Afghanistan and live in Scotland 🏴 just want to know where about in Scotland 🏴 you live I’m in Glasgow wish to see you guys here in Glasgow
Spain trains bought by NLD people government since 2019 but nothing to use till now because every platform aren't working for these trains. You know Myanmar railway platforms are not high for these trains.
The circular train is a novelty. If you have hours and hours to waste then this is the one. There is now SPANISH trains DEMU to BAGO in two hours . My mistake. Burmese never say See You Again.
@@Alan_and_Shannon dear both thank you very much for video and travelling in Myanmar. Our Myanmar people are favourite on Manchester United ( short form- Man U fan)
we have over 20 Spanish train which arrived at 2020 because we stop metro line as a covid and civil war. now we starting testing for using this train. This is buy government money not for any European investment .
The train is Spanish-made but it is funded by Japan as financial aid, not European investment. Still no idea why they bought Spanish trains when the money is from Japan and the rail was built by the British.

Misunderstanding at ticket seller man. He thinks you are buying the tickets to go to Bago which is another town 1h by train. Circular train tickets are sold until evening.
Look at how this central station of the former capital is deserted. I feel like some TH-camrs are promoting the false peace of Myanmar. Look at the borders and you will see how internally displaced people are struggling due to war. I strongly urge not to come here for your vlog especially for this moment. If you do, you are just promoting for brutal military junta.

The train you're on is an old Japanese one, similar to the one that used to come down the Nagoya-Nishio-Kira line!
'Expensive to travel'. $3 for a 7 hour bus trip is expensive? Grab's perhaps cheapest in SEA. What are you talking about?
But expensive for me in Myanmar.

Still no idea why they bought Spanish trains when the money is from Japan and the rail was built by the British.
They might change the railway soon. Ofc it's going to be Japan again.
