    As a beginner artist, you won’t believe how much this helps. Usually when you search up “how to draw for beginners” they start with the exact thing you keep failing at, they already use complex drawings for examples. But you take it step by step, making each point clear. Amazing job!

    Your videos have really inspired me to stop doubting myself and to get back into learning how to sketch/draw. I had previously been discouraged during the learning process when an associate made fun of something I drew in highschool, and my insecurity made that incident enough for me to give up. Now at 31, and after months of doubting myself because of my age, I've gotten confident enough to jump in and put forth a decent effort to learn. Thank you so much for these great videos

      Thanks for sharing that, I'm sure a lot of people watching have had a similar experience. One of the key things is to accept that not everything you draw needs to be shown to others necessarily. You might keep one sketch book just for yourself to practise and experiment on freely without the pressure of making your drawings presentable.

    Curious how many viewers enjoy analog art more than digital? As an IT professional I have embraced both, but find myself so much more enamored with traditional paper/canvas/wood/cardboard/whatever and pens/pencils/acrylics/oil/watercolor(my fave). But at bedtime, sketching on my iPad is definitely a thing. Bonus? Doesn't bother my wife with a light on! Thanks for a new take on an age-old subject!

    i like how drawing 3d figures roughly without really sketching at all and visualizing them easily in my mind as if i was rotating a 3d object in some computer progam is the only thing i know how to properly do when drawing
    other than that i often struggle at small things like sketching a head or getting the body proportions correctly (often drawing arms way too long, hands way too small/big, legs way too short, head way too small etc

    how to do the straight line

    • @ConceptsApp
      @ConceptsApp  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are several ways to draw a straight line in Concepts.
      1. Line Smoothing. The simplest way to draw straight lines is to set your tool’s Line Smoothing to 100%. This turns every stroke you draw into a straight line between your starting point and ending point, no matter how shaky your hand is. To adjust the amount of smoothness applied, tap the smoothing button (the squiggly line) on the inner ring of your tool wheel.
      Often, our designers will make a single straight line, and simply duplicate the line to make fast, parallel lines without drawing. You can move, rotate and resize them quickly without needing to draw a million different lines. To duplicate a line, select it and tap the duplicate button on the popup... you’ll see how fast it is.
      2. Line Guide. The Line guide gives you straight lines with more precision. The Line guide is Concepts’ ruler - it shows you measurements when Measure in on, and you can customize the length of the line as well.
      To find the Line guide, tap the Precision menu on your canvas, then tap the Guide tab and select the Line tool from the popup menu. Turn on the guide by tapping the circle beside the guide tab (so it’s filled in). Position your line where you want it, using one finger on the crosshairs or using two fingers to rotate/resize, or select just one of the circular handles to move the line around a set point. Draw anywhere beside or on the guide, as when guides are active, they’re the only area on the canvas that can be drawn on. To draw elsewhere on canvas again, deactivate the guide.
      Also, you can double-tap the cross-hairs at the center of the Line guide to contain the line between the handles (very useful for drawing to exact measurements). To make the line a specific length, tap+hold on the value next to the center of the line and enter the desired length.
