Great tutorial on many levels! Safety, multimeter usage, capacitor explanation, testing, and diag/ install. Thank you
Great video! Very easy to understand and appreciate you helping us out with your knowledge. 2 month in hvac school and learning how to check components of the condenser and furnace with a meter.
Thank you Keith! I appreciate your comment very much🙏 2 months in school PLUS you're self educating. Now that's a winner right there. A pat on the back for you brother. When I came out of school, I didn't even know what I was looking at in the field 😂 Keep going & you will be very successful. Stay safe out there & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧

I agree with the positive comments, I watched several others trying to figure it out without a clear understanding. I also realized that my multimeter did have the function to perform this test!
Dude! Simple and to the point! Thanks!
Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video. It's very helpful specially for low-income people like me. Please keep uploading videos with this kind of content, I just saved a couple of hundreds with this video.......the compressor wasn't kicking in and Yes the capacitor was bad.... Thank you..... Thank you very much.
He was straight to the point and that capacitor was good and thank for showing the right proceeding.
Thank you. Just got a non working cooling system with 100+ temp in Texas. Checked your video and found that it is the capacitor that doesn't have any reading for both. Ordered one and hopefully it will fix the problem and bring the cooling air back. I will update in 2 days once I complete the replacement.
Perfect simple explanation. I was able to troubleshoot my capacitor with your help thank you!

Good video and I enjoy the channel. The voltage rating is also important but I believe a lot of these newer capacitors have a dual voltage rating.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy the channel. It's good to make sure the voltage rating matches up with the one you're replacing. Stay tuned for new videos every week 🔧⚡

I am a female and love DIY. My air conditioner fan stopped running even though my air was coming out (hot!) After research, I needed to find the capacitor and meter read it. This explained everything to me. I bought a replacement capacitor and am sitting in an air-conditioned house again. Did I say I live in Florida where it was in the 90's when my air cut out???!!
I'm glad this video helped you get back up and running. 90 degrees is no joke! Thanks for watching & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️

Wonder why herm has three prongs v fan with one?
Great video.
Thanks for the video, since I don't have a capacitor discharge, I used the screwdriver technique to discharge it, a 30+4 dual capacitor and neither C+HERM and C+FAN gives output in uF, I was thinking that maybe the capacitor still needs to discharge, can I use Voltage to measure it ? to test if it still has charge
Excellent Presentation.
Thank you! Stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Excellent presentation, detailed with good pace.I enjoyed it and I learned a lot. The only correction I would have. Is that hat the letter u you referd to, is the greek letter mio For micro and not "u". Although when the publisher does not have the letter they substitute u for it. So you were not too off pardon my splitting hairs here.😂

All I have is Craftsman and Kobalt srew drivers, the Kobalt are kinda rubberized and the Craftsman are the typical poly style handles, will either of these work to discharge the cap?
