Nahid is completely right. Too many people in this world excuse people just because they are biologically related. "We came from the same mother, therefore it's okay if you're a serial killer or an evil dictator now!". I hate that kind of mentality. To me, love and trust have to be earned, it's not given from birth. I love my brothers if they deserve to be loved. And yes, if I was Bellamy, I would love Octavia, not because of blood, but because of the time we spent together, the bond we've formed. By the time she became Bloodreina, my love for her would already be unconditional - BUT that doesn't mean I wouldn't sacrifice her for the greater good. Just because I am personally attached to someone, or have my own bias towards them, does not mean I would fail to see when they do bad things, and that they can't be allowed to hurt others. People who put their own families and loved ones above what is morally correct, are not the kind of people I want to know. If your brother or sister was a murderer and was planning to kill again, would you keep it secret because "they're blood"? I would hope everybody would stop them by any means, most likely by telling the police.
Wait a second, killing Octavia is one thing, but how the hell do you intend to lock her up in the middle of the city that she rules, and is filled with devoted fanatics?
First of all, Welcome back NAHID!!!! I love this season so much because everyone is making fully thought out, in character decisions that fit with their worldviews. As for Octavia, or should I say Blodreina, she is right. She is backed into a corner and she does have sufficient evidence to say that the worms are a good option. Remember they have a environmental simulation machine so they can test the viability of the worms in a climate similar to Shallow Valley. Obviously they can't be 100% sure, but she isn't wrong when she says it's their best option. She's also not wrong for calling Bellamy and Clarke out on the times they did the exact same thing regardless of collateral damage. Living in bunker is not viable long term because of the weapons that Diyoza possesses. If she wanted to, she could literally wipe out without a second thought, so they need something she can't combat. Hence the worms. Six years is a long time and Bellamy, Clarke, and Company are no longer her first priority as she is the leader of an entire civilization and she is responsible for their well-being. It is incredibly short-sighted and rude of Bellamy and Clarke to try and take that control from her. As for Clarke, she is now in a difficult position. With Octavia taking Madi in, Clarke now has a reason to stay with Wonkru. Both for her own protection and for the protection of Madi. If anything, Madi is safest as Octavia's second, and Octavia knows this. But she also knows that Clarke doesn't trust her, so this move is both a threat and an olive branch. As for Bellamy, he still does not recognize that his sister is her own person, nor does he recognize that monumental achievement that keeping this society actually is. It's this lack of respect and the need to control her that has lead to this situation. And frankly, I can't agree with how he has handled things. His plan to free Clarke had numerous flaws (not least of which being the blindspot of Raven and Murphy not keeping him apprised of the situation) and those flaws are rightfully called out by Octavia when she puts the lion's share of the blame for the situation they are in on him. It is ultimately his fault. He was far too trusting. If that had been Clarke or current Octavia making that deal with Diyoza, they would have actually followed through or had extra contingencies. His decision to bring Echo along, while understandable, was not the smartest thing he could have done and she made the right decision leaving so that he could talk with his sister. Overall, I don't think he has quite learned exactly what Clarke meant by "think more with your head than you heart" back in season 4. As far as Echo and Raven, this is one of the first times that Raven has had to make a decision that actively hurts her because she has to do something awful to someone she loves, and it has a serious effect on her. She's never been the type to make hard decisions, she's usually the one staying quiet and letting others make them, and then criticizing them after for the bad decisions that they make. So it's good to see her have to finally confront one of those decisions and I'm be interested to see your reactions to where she goes from here. Finally, we have Abby and Kane. I feel like the Abby/Kane storyline, as much as this season made me hate Kane for spoiler reasons, is one of the best stories this series has ever told. Their relationship is steeped in all of the themes of this season and to try and explain it now would be impossible without spoiling. Probably the best aspect of this storyline that I can talk about here is how incredibly realistically the addiction storyline is written. Kane reaction to Abby's addiction (and the ultimatum he gives her), while incredibly damaging and not good for Abby, is one of the most raw and realistic portrayals of a loved one's reaction to addiction in people they care about. When you care about someone, whether they are a friend, family, or significant other, it is incredibly hard to watch them kill themselves because a part of you is dying with them. I feel like that is extremely well portrayed in this stroyline and I applaud the writers for having the guts to show realistic reactions from both parties regardless of whether or not it's the healthy thing to do. Too many times in TV and Movies writers will tackle a heavy topic like addiction and have the characters always make the decision that is best in the situation, but the problem with that is that it isn't what most people experience. Being in that situation yourself is emotional and hard that you can't really approach it correctly. Overall, just does such a great job of showing everyone's perspective on Shallow Valley and the War, and I love it for that. There really are not any bad guys here, just people trying to protect those they care for/are in charge of. Anyway, thanks for the great reaction guys and I'll see you next week!!! P.S. It's funny how aside from Mickey everyone else in Normies tend to bias towards their favorite character. First off since Octavia has appeared this season she has casually put the lives of her supposed one crew people in danger repeatedly and then upon there deaths have just casting them aside without so much as an ounce or remorse. So comparing to Clark is ridiculous in my book. Second she in agent of shield they were ok with killing Ruby off and Octavia is on that level if not worst but no one thinks killing her is an option? She threatened Bellamy's life just a few episodes ago and has shown to be a complete murderous dictator but yeah let's keep her alive and lock her up. Micky I'm with you my boi

I like how everyone only worries about Maddie when Octavia is literally sending about 60 KIDS TO WAR!!!!!! Like I love Octavia but this season was SO bad for her character (my opinion so no hate plz) however it’s also very obvious that something horrible has gone down in the bunker (which I’m sure all my comment peeps will know about lol) so this entire thing has not just taken a toll on Octavia but also Wonkru as a whole. We see Abby dealing with it by using drugs, Kane being afraid every minute and have PTSD, Indra feeling super guilty and in Octavia’s case going through some severe mental problems so you guys are gonna find out what everyone’s been talking about in like 4 episodes lol.

I don't think you know what innocent means. The first 300 grounders were gonna kill the 100 what? Self-defense. Then the TonDC missile you act like she's the one who shot the missile, Lexa convinced her that the advantage of Bellamy as a spy was crucial to the rescue mission. And finally, the mountain men were harvesting bone marrow on conscious people, shot the missile on TonDC earlier and were using the blood of grounders for years. Jasper wasn't gonna save the day with his butter knife. The only way to save the people being actively tortured was to irradiate the level, thereby killing the fuckers responsible for all this and the innocents. Meanwhile, Bellamy did all this as well as indirectly kill 300 people on the Ark in the first season. Octavia as well is responsible for the deaths of a shit ton of people in the bunker.
Mount Weather and TonDC were options were Clarke literally had no other viable choice presented to her. The 300 grounders was in self-defense tho. Even tho it was a strategic move by Lexa. (Before that she was given word that one of her own was captured and tortured, not to mention an entire village burned down due to The 100 that they were given no reparations for at all, and there was the bridge meeting with Anya when they tried to make peace _officially_ before jasper started shooting. At this point it was just a strategic move to get rid of the 100 before the rest of the ark came down to cause more problems)
grounders werent innocent, it was a battle, tondc was must not evacuate cause where would they go without being seen and hit by the missile anyway, so thank God for Lexa there, but thing is about s1 battle: Clarke killed half of her people cause she thought that grouders can break into drop ship with swords? they could, but it would took them atleast few hrs, cause it's not like they've had a cannon, that's why people outside died for nothing, great warrior clarke 😂😂😂

After rewatching season 5 tho, I hate it less and less, and Octavia's arc makes a bit more sense, but it's still annoying.

She also almost killed herself at the acid rain too. Then suddenly she is the everyone leader. Jaha made her deal with being a leader in a tough way, and so did Abby with the dark year thing. After that she is suddenly at a war (first time of her leading it)...
Madi's strong girl, she knows that you can't run away from what you are, children have role in every society, same as in this one, no point in avoiding reality, or hiding

Like I love Octavia but this season was SO bad for her character (my opinion so no hate plz) however it’s also very obvious that something horrible has gone down in the bunker (which I’m sure all my comment peeps will know about lol) so this entire thing has not just taken a toll on Octavia but also Wonkru as a whole. We see Abby dealing with it by using drugs, Kane being afraid every minute and have PTSD, Indra feeling super guilty and in Octavia’s case going through some severe mental problems so you guys are gonna find out what everyone’s been talking about in like 4 episodes lol.

Clark killed 350 people when Mount Weather was irradicated, 250+ people in TonDC when she allowed a bomb to be dropped without warning anyone and killing 300 Grounders using the rocket fuel on the dropship to burn them alive.
I don't think you know what innocent means. The first 300 grounders were gonna kill the 100 what? Self-defense. Then the TonDC missile you act like she's the one who shot the missile, Lexa convinced her that the advantage of Bellamy as a spy was crucial to the rescue mission. And finally, the mountain men were harvesting bone marrow on conscious people, shot the missile on TonDC earlier and were using the blood of grounders for years. Jasper wasn't gonna save the day with his butter knife. The only way to save the people being actively tortured was to irradiate the level, thereby killing the fuckers responsible for all this and the innocents. Meanwhile, Bellamy did all this as well as indirectly kill 300 people on the Ark in the first season. Octavia as well is responsible for the deaths of a shit ton of people in the bunker.
Mount Weather and TonDC were options were Clarke literally had no other viable choice presented to her.
The 300 grounders was in self-defense tho. Even tho it was a strategic move by Lexa. (Before that she was given word that one of her own was captured and tortured, not to mention an entire village burned down due to The 100 that they were given no reparations for at all, and there was the bridge meeting with Anya when they tried to make peace _officially_ before jasper started shooting. At this point it was just a strategic move to get rid of the 100 before the rest of the ark came down to cause more problems)

grounders werent innocent, it was a battle, tondc was must not evacuate cause where would they go without being seen and hit by the missile anyway, so thank God for Lexa there, but thing is about s1 battle: Clarke killed half of her people cause she thought that grouders can break into drop ship with swords? they could, but it would took them atleast few hrs, cause it's not like they've had a cannon, that's why people outside died for nothing, great warrior clarke 😂😂😂
@@sia6045 season 1battle is understandable, skypeople("100")realy looked like the enemy, and Trikru clan leadership pushed hard to wipe them out. and no war crimes there, they again had a chance to defend themselves thanks to Lincoln, and they "won" but lost half of the people cause of poor strategy and dumb plan.

@@johnmurphy9023 I'm sorry, I worded it all badly, I almost dropped the show because the whole Octavia change at first felt like a forcefull plot device. Like the whole burning the farm thing and shitt, and I hate when shows get to conflict very unnaturally.
After rewatching season 5 tho, I hate it less and less, and Octavia's arc makes a bit more sense, but it's still annoying.

She also almost killed herself at the acid rain too. Then suddenly she is the everyone leader. Jaha made her deal with being a leader in a tough way, and so did Abby with the dark year thing. After that she is suddenly at a war (first time of her leading it)...
