      you may like it but god the thumbnail/title X broke me trend is so played out and cringe. this level of unoriginality nearly makes me block all future videos of someone's content as it signals the death of creating something and filming it. instead it shows that you prioritize whether something would do well on youtube over an interest in the creation.

    • @rockyhydra713
      @rockyhydra713 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kingkarlito I'd argue it aligns with the comedic approach he takes in the content though so it isn't as jarring. We know Joe isn't prioritizing the algo by the sheer effort and depth of the content itself.

    Man, you prompted a deep memory with the mixers. My first job when I was 14 was working in a kitchen at a hotel restaurant complex from like 4AM to noon on the weekends. I made a lot of sheet cakes in the Hobart mixer, and whatever dick made the recipe had it almost perfectly fill the mixer bowl. So the initial mixing was an excruciating process of trying to not fling flour or water around the kitchen. Later I also worked at a pizza place and as waitstaff at hotel banquets, and I honestly partly got into rockets just so that I'd never have to work in food service again.

    • @BPSspace
      @BPSspace  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +129

      Luckily with flour flinging everywhere it's just annoying, and doesn't distribute a ton of oxidizer into the air! I never did any food service with mixers but I did make ice cream and sing for tips for a while. Most food service jobs really put ya through it.

    10:00 Machinist here again: dont beat yourself up over your 3D Printed steady rest. It was perfect for its intended purpose. The lubricated tape was a nice touch. Here is a fun fact that harks back to my other post: if you have a big heavy part on a big heavy steady, the surface of the part can be damaged by the steady if its not REALLY well lubricated. Ideally you have roller bearings, but if you only have brass pads, you can jerry rig a nice lubricated surface using...... EMERY TAPE! (I kid you not). you turn it inside out, clamp one end in the top hinged bit at the front, and run the tape around the job and under the three points of the rest (INSIDE OUT - its worth repeating), squirt it with a heap of oil can oil, and Bob's your uncle. Using a finer grit tape is preferable.

    Many Kudo's to you, Sir, on the safety blurb at the end. As a Lifetime member of Tripoli and a Longtime Level 3 flyer, you are spot on with the Mentor recommendation. Also as an ESRA (Experimental Sounding Rocket Association) Lead official, and part of a 140 plus (international) college teams competition process, where Mentors are the heart of taking students from all walks of life and working towards amazing 10K and 30K altitude rocket and payload projects. Good Mentors will make sure you have the opportunity to exceed even their accomplishments but make sure Mother Nature and Father Physics are not angered in any way. The Rocket Gods need to be appeased, and after showing the OKC disaster (John was a friend), it proves we can not be complacent in our hobby.

    im not sure if you see this but your steady rest could use some improvement. This is how we woodworkers build our own steady rests.
    Use a wooden frame and Skateboard wheels to build a steady rest, so it looks the same as the normal lathe one but with wheels instead of the copper/brass inserts. This way you dont need the lube or the thick layer of tape, although i´d recomend some for protection.
    Since its so cheap you can even use two for spin casting.

    The music goes crazy in this one. Idk if it's bespoke for this video or the editing was just perfect or what but somehow as your rocketry level is increasing, so is the video quality. Yall are really cooking
