Have had a pixie since my mid twenties. I’m 73 now and have gone through no less than 4 grow out attempts, the last one twenty years ago. I began following you because my natural hair color and texture,my cut and color process are almost identical to yours. You have kept me and my hairstyle very contemporary and updated. Don’t grow it out. You look stunning. Not many of us can pull this off. Thank you.
I recently turned 70 & also have the same texture, thick, straight hair. I’ve worn short pixie since 1992! I’ve attempted several times to grow it longer & always go back to the shorter style.
I have just grown out from a 13 year old pixie cut, with various, updated changes. My stylist wanted me to stay short, but, I caved to my nieces who wanted me to try longer hair. I'll be 65 in July. I have to say, I like my new look, however shorter is so much easier. My hair is very thick and heavy. I just ordered the flat iron, and thank you for the discount code! You are beautiful.
Sharalee Your pixie has definitely grown. You styled it so nicely. I love the root boost. I use it every day. It absolutely gives volume to hair. I’m not a curling iron girl but the iron you used seems like a winner. Like seeing the different products you use Hair videos are such fun to watch. Keep them coming. 💗🌹💗🌷💗🌸💗
Love it all. Just got my 1st pixie/shaved sides and back. Im 66 and love it. Having challenges w styling but hopefully will catch on. Thanks so much for tutorials. Hugs, Debra ✨️ 🤗
Love today's look! This look is much more the way I've been doing mine... have done some version of this for years! Please keep doing this type of video. Thank you!
I purchased the NuMe flat iron a couple of weeks ago after seeing you use it. I LOVE it! It’s so easy to use & glides through my hair. I have a short pixie & the NuMe helps put a great bend on my thick, super straight hair. I used your link & appreciated the discount code!
Love this style…so pretty on you and looks more “current” than just leaving it at the hair helmet stage. I struggle with that and think my pixie looks old-fashioned at times because my thin hair doesn’t look very piecey or texturized. I’d love to see a tutorial on how you style your hair on the 2nd day after waking up. I look like a porcupine in the morning!!😂
Hey Sharalee! I just love watching you style your hair. I’m still trying to figure out how to style mine. The beautician I went to wasn’t much help. I may be going back short. Thanks for the fun video!❤
I love this style and totally understand wanting a change.. I did the same thing… buttttt.. I’m going back to short on Monday 😊.. I hope you do a makeup tutorial on todays look💗
The shine you got from running that iron through is impressive. You have such thick, healthy looking hair; it is fabulous at every length and style! The lip color you are wearing is gorgeous, please share 😉
Your new style is lovely! I’m running behind and have yet to see your last hair cut video, but I will catch up! Ha! I also really like the color change! Definitely blends with the natural blonde you have in front! You are so blessed to have thick hair that has a lot of body! Mine is very fine but I am learning to manage it by using a lot of product - several that you have suggested! Hope your Easter was blessed with lots of SONshine! He’s coming soon! 🙏🏻❤️✝️
I have to say you always do a great job in styling your hair at any length, I have a pixie style and take your tips and styling advice. I don’t usually use a hair dryer but I’m tempted to get the Zuvi lol. Makeup looks good as usual ❤
I just love your tutorials! Thanks from your videos and Justin Hickox’s videos I went short five months ago. I love my hair short and find it so easy to do. I am in Canada🇨🇦, and you are right cannot find the pomade, “Enjoy” . I do use one from AG hair products. I also use the Kenra volume mousse 12, and love it as well and the Kenra 25 volume hairspray. I love your lip colour, what are you wearing? Thanks again!❤️😀🐶
You and your style are absolutely beautiful. You definitely have a natural talent for styling your Pixie. How often do you have to get your stylist to cut your hair? I wear a Pixie, however, neither I nor my stylist is as talented as you with styling a Pixie cut. I LOVE your channel!
Just ordered the Zuvi and should be getting it tomorrow or Friday. I have very thinning hair and heard this dryer is good for that because it has very low heat. Can’t wait!
Hi Sharalee. Thx so much for all the fun videos. Question- will you be purchasing the new Wicked pallet from Patrick S? At Sephora. If you do purchase- can you do a tutorial on the fun colors?? Thx so much for teaching this old braid so much!!! Blessings to you and your hubby.
I have been avoiding using product in my hair. My scalp was getting very itchy and bumpy! I am trying to grow out my pixie and at this stage I need to use something, or I will cut it all off again, LOL!! At my age, I hate spending a lot of time doing my hair, but I also have decided I don't like looking like an old lady anymore...hahahahaha! Make-up and hair are a priority again! Gonna go and find the ones you used here, thanks for sharing!!
Hi Sharalee - I adore your Pixie & your tutorials!! You are Beautiful!! Can you tell me about the Bed Head Manipulator Pomade - does it make your hair feel greasy or waxy?? Ive tried so many & havent found one that gives me the Manipulation without being greasy???? If you could reply, I would greatly appreciate it!! ❤
Your longer pixie is really cute but you my friend would look great with any hair style. I have a question that I have never found on anyone's YT channel that teaches about pixie cuts. I have thought long and hard about getting a pixie. My hairdresser said I could definitely pull it off but that I should consider the maintenance of it. Here are some of the points she sarto consider: 1. Regular cuts every 4 weeks 2. Products depending on hair needs and cost of product line. 3. Color or highlights if desired 4. Lifestyle- daily activities 5. Your face is showcased and usually require a bit more attention to face and or makeup. I would love to hear your opinion.
Just want to say that after seeing your tutorial on Instagram for the Nume Flat Iron...I purchased mine and love it!! But I have to set mine at 360° to 410° max because my hair JUST will not hold curl. My pixie is a little bit long on top and needs texturing and cut. Getting it cut this weekend. IMO...your pixie looks much prettier short. But your style is ALWAYS beautiful!! ❤❤ This looks like too much work for you.
My hair kind of died that Style all in its own one if the few ways I can style it.. but you are correct without products one is screwed when I found out I couldn’t use fragrance anywhere it was tough in the beginning still is , but at least now there is a few more products out there and I’ve learned a lot from watching you. I just wish that hair dryer wasn’t so expensive..
Hi Sharalee. I let my pixie grow out some as well especially the top. I colored the undercut dark and the top is very light. I’m trying to decide what shampoo to use. Do you have any ideas? Greatly appreciate your tips and opinions. ❤
Hmmmm…. Hi, Sharalee!!!!! You are so pretty no matter how your hair is styled, but I will RESPECTFULLY say…. This longer-do is not you. Personally, your little pixie and/or spiked pixie you used to wear is still MY ALL-TIME favorite, and because of those videos, you totally keep me inspired with my pixie!!!!! ☺️. But let me reiterate, YOU ARE FABULOUS NO MATTER THE HAIRSTYLE. Just your short pixies are my fav 🥰 As always, love your channel and that SWEET GRACIE-GIRL 🐶💖
Great look!!❤ I’m betting you are just growing out the top some, which is what I do about every other year. 😂 I had longish hair 19 yrs ago then lost it all to cancer. I’ve stuck to a pixie ever since. Chemo changes your texture so it’s been an adventure.😂 but whatever you do, you will always be beautiful inside and out. Thank you for the video because guess what I’ve been doing the last few cuts…😂😂❤
Thank you for sharing about having cancer. My 22 ye old daughter was diagnosed end of Dec 2023 while pregnant. She's ok...but has a journey ahead and of course lost all of her long beautiful brunette hair to chemo/cancer 😢
@@debbielesher7766 I’m sorry to hear that. I was diagnosed when my daughter was 4 months old. She can do this. She definitely has people who need her to give her motivation. ❤️
I received my Enjoy Dry Wax and I wonder if something is wrong with it. I could hardly make a dent to get any out and that is after I used my hair dryer to warm it up. Once I got some out, I tried rubbing it hard through my hands and it was so tacky and hard... I tried some heat from my blow dryer again and it was never really workable.. anyone else?
Whatever you do will look good. I do however prefer short on you. I certainly love the Enjoy Dry Wax as I have a very short pixie. If I let mine grow, I have so much hair that I begin to get a “hair helmet”. I’m afraid that may be what will happen to you as well.
Did you say your reg life doesnt go with wild, crazy hair? Girl when you shaved your hair you were already a step over wild and crazy. Lol. you are very beautiful, very classy but i was waiting for the day you were gonna buzzzz it and dye it in stripes. I have purchased many of the products you recommend and tried your techniques. But come back to earth please and give us the good things same as before...
You're cute, but would look so much better with a close shave. JMHO, but if you want to grow it out, go long on top with a supershort undershave. My wife keeps her's shaved down to a #1 ever 2 weeks and has it long past her shoulders. That would look really hot on you!

I agree! I just got brave enough to go super short from shoulder length and came here for inspiration!
I just turned 80 and have had a pixie cut for over 30 years…now I do it myself…use product and spike it up on occasion!
I recently turned 70 & also have the same texture, thick, straight hair. I’ve worn short pixie since 1992! I’ve attempted several times to grow it longer & always go back to the shorter style.

My hair is very fine. I use products sparingly as it tends to get gummy. Especially in our humid summers.
I use Kenra styling taffy. No Dry Wax in my town.
Love it!
Always love what you do, but I think your hair was perfect BEFORE you got out the the flatiron.
Justin is a great hairstylist.
What kind of blow dryer do you use?

I've tried it over and over and it just is not my favorite.
I used it all the time. I scrape out a tiny bit and rub it onto my fingers. You don't need a lot to make your hair look piecy and full. Keep trying.
Threw my curling iron away many years ago.
A very nice hairstyle
@jefftreado . Is this this the hair dryer you have?
How do you go about finding a great stylist?
you can all the styling products money can buy BUT if your
( mine- ugh ) cut sucks it still Gonna suck!!
Your cut is Amazing!
Also you have a great hair line
It looks good but I still prefer u in the shorter pixie
I love you sweet Sister Sharalee, but I like your hair shorter like you had it before.
Beautiful my friend🌺🌺🌺
Whatever you do will look good. I do however prefer short on you. I certainly love the Enjoy Dry Wax as I have a very short pixie. If I let mine grow, I have so much hair that I begin to get a “hair helmet”. I’m afraid that may be what will happen to you as well.
What new hair style are you changing to like a bob.
Well....my grow out experiment is officially snuffed😆 Stay tuned for my recent salon visit!
