Always use WAZE on the highways!

Known heavy enforcement area in Virginia on Interstate 77. They were marked on waze and google maps. Radar detector gave plenty of advance alerts. The sound effects and warnings 0are coming from the app JBV1 which is paired with my Valentine1 radar detector.

The spectre radar detector detector units are nearly extinct. The company that made them no longer exists. As long as you are not obvious with how you mount a detector, its not an issue. In other words, no mounting on the dash, middle of the windshield, etc. keep it high and tight on the windshield. Mine is behind a tint strip and cant be seen from outside the car. Even if you do get caught, its a $100 fine, no license points. Much less than the price of a speeding ticket. The rd i use is not detected by the spectre units.

@@gonzoprius3589 yeah I live wild too, I mount mine similarly, but I'm glad to hear the fine is the min price of a speeding ticket. I run mine when I leave DC because it's not worth it in town. Also good to hear the detector detectors are more rare.
