That is a beauty. You did a great job on the grips. Glad to see you bought the football target grips. That gun has a target hammer and target trigger and target grips also known as the 3Ts. I'm a S&W collector and have 5 model 19s in my collection. 3 19-3 (Blue 2.5" 4" & 6" barrels), 1 19-4(Nickle 4") , and 1 19 NO DASH (4" Blue) all in like new condition with NO refinishes. Pass that gun down to your children is an excellent idea. Thanks for the video , I really enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for watching. I have a few other Smith and Wesson revolvers on uploads here and it would be an honor of mine if someone in the know like yourself can watch some of them when you have a chance and let me know if my info is accurate. Maybe there’s something about some of them you could tell me as well. I immediately clicked your username to see if you had some videos of that awesome collection of yours. Maybe in the future. I have to build up my short barrel collection admittedly. It’ll get there.
I have a model 19-3 and a colt python 4” I’ve had a professional trigger job done on my model 19 and it is awesome. They’re both iconic of the time period
Thanks for watching. They are both great revolvers. This model 19 is so smooth it may have had a trigger job itself. I can’t tell though since I’m not the original owner.
Got a Smith 19-4 for Xmas. Love the target hammer and trigger. Makes a Glock which I have many look like a lump of coal. I think I'll just run 38's through it. Gun in nice condition.
jimbo9357 When I got this and when I got my python I said I’ll probably just run 38s through it too. Good luck with that! I think I made one trip to the range without 357‘s. That is one hell of a Christmas present though. Was it passed down from family?
My brother in law had it. Told him not to sell it I would buy it. I thought I would get the usual dork gifts this year couldn't believe it. Got a Smith 586 Classic on the way to my FFL. I'll use that for the hot stuff. And oh yeah the new Python is out.........
Actually I have never fired it as it's in at least 95% condition. The reason I own it is due to historical, emotional, sentimental, nostalgic and personal reasons I really cannot explain.@@bripro68
Are there those who believe that having more rounds is synonymous with success? As if 40 shots were used in street confrontations throughout life. You wouldn’t want to be in front of one of these if you’re a criminal. It’s beautiful, and it’s a luxury to carry it with you.
What's your opinion folks, do the grips with cutout for speedloader look nicer than these ones without? I mean just the looks, the design. Which ones suit the looks of this M19 better? With that cutout or without it like here in the video. Please reply.
N M Thank you, it is one of my favorites. When I bought it I passed up a 4 inch Colt python that was listed at $999. Even though the Colt doubled in price I have never regretted not buying it because if I did I wouldn’t of gotten this.
Hey that"s my gun, mine had blue tape on it just like that one does. haha! I have a like new Nickel 19-5 that is recessed but not pinned- it is not rare but cool anyway.
People who thing dry firing this pistol are just ignorant. Dry firing is good practice and does ZERO harm to this pistol. Kinda like the guys who thing dropping the slide on a .45 ACP does any harm...which it doesn't.
Not for nothing, but I think the idea of safety checking on camera is to remind viewers of the importance of the safety check. Most of us have common sense and already know, but for one of two people out there maybe it's a good reminder. Good video though!
"None of them like guns, yet." 🤣😂🥲😂🤣 Great outlook sir. I hate pythons. Sure Rick Grimes carried one, but that’s the only cool thing about them. Over priced crap with a back assward cylinder release, so why do they get so much reverence? It’s surely not earned in my book. I have the same gun 19-4 and I love mine too. I’d put mine up against yours for the smoothest trigger any day, and I’m sure we’d both just sit there grinning at each other. 😌 My grips are a little more worn that yours but I’m told mine once killed a huge honorary squirrel that was stealing nuts from the family bird feeder. 😏
Colt Pythons are definitely not crap, they are quite amazing works of art. That being said, if I had to daily carry a revolver, mod 19 all day every day.
I've been collecting guns since 1978 and this model is my favorite
Joe Guzman Thanks for watching. There too is a soft spot in my gun collecting heart for K frame Smith and Wessons. .
This and the Colt King Cobra are my favorite .357’s
I have the twin to your Mod 19 that is a 19-3. It is my favorite gun of everything I own!
They are definitely hard to beat.
Beautiful Revolver! ❤️
Thanks for watching. I agree with you. It is gorgeous
The model 19 is a legend. Mine are all 2.5”. I’ll own a 4” some day. Thanks for sharing
Sonny Gunz My pleasure. I also have a decent 6 inch Nickel 19. Funny how life works because I am after a 2.5 and just never come across any.

Beautiful revolver man I love older revolvers smiths colts they are just awesome to me
They sure are. I have my share of modern firearms but bringing one home is nothing compared to bringing in a classic!
Beautiful gun, I acquired a 19-3 earlier this year. No regrets.
A.J. S. Nice. They are great revolvers indeed.

Beautiful revolver
It was a great find indeed. Thanks for watching
Fine looking mod 19. The mods 10, 19 and 66 are my favorites. But then I wouldn't pass up the other mods. Good luck with your channel.
Beautiful gun. I have the same 19-4, made in 1978
Edward Petty Thank you. I will admit that when I bought it I didn’t know I would come to appreciate it the way I have. Lucky find.
I have the same, mine is a shiny nickel plated, excellent condition, bought new😁

Yes I agree it's a beautiful gun. My Smith and Wesson Model 19-4 is of 1979 vintage.
What a great revolver they are.
Do you shoot yours often?
Actually I have never fired it as it's in at least 95% condition. The reason I own it is due to historical, emotional, sentimental,

James Farmer No need to explain. I get it 100%.
I have the 19 no dash my favorite revolver
I wish I had a no dash. I could see how it could be a favorite.

Nice revolver
Yes my friend. I have the same. I live in France. It's the best

a beauty
Marshall T. Thank you very much for watching, It sure is a shooter too.
I got model 19 dash 3 4 inch in the box
Nice. Do you shoot it often?
I have a shorter barreled version of the 19-4
Hey that"s my gun, mine had blue tape on it just like that one does. haha! I have a like new Nickel 19-5 that is recessed but not pinned- it is not rare but cool anyway.
Burnwell _ Bandit What length barrel is yours? These really are good revolvers. I find the trigger on this one better than that of my Python.
@@bripro68 4" same as yours.

Alex M Thanks for watching. It really is a gorgeous example. I get your point about the safety check on camera.
On point
I'm searching S&W second hand revolver to purchase
Hope you find one. Let me know what you come up with.
Anyone have any info about these 19-4s being ported? Hear conflicting stories if S&W did it or owners.
That must be a later 19-4 because your s&w emblem is under the cylinder release.
I’ll check it out again next time I have it out. Thanks for letting me know.

Seria de qual date ??? Fabrication
1977
Got tired of its being waved around. Quit watching.
Might I suggest next time you simply search images instead of videos. In videos things tend to move, not so much with pictures.
My 19-4 is the one that started me collecting S&W revolvers. I never get tired of looking at them. I now have one 19-4 and two 19-3s.
@@keithwilliams2766 They are great guns indeed. That sounds like a great collection having three 19s.
