- NaPC is back on the #mercedes 220CE #w124 coupe as it is still running rough. So, I look to change the coils on the 2.2 #m111 engine in a hope this will cure the lumpy idle and stalling issues I've had.
I also look to change the front brake discs and pads, and radiator hoses - although with mixed results!
Grrrr! So close to success then a little rumble… The great quest to diagnose the C124 rough running continues… keep us posted and thanks for sharing to fellow C124 owners
@@dougieboy28 it’s since had a replacement (used) throttle body put on as the actual unit can apparently go faulty. No difference really, apart from introducing a misfire at 3000-3500rpm
Been following this series and its been super helpful, thanks! Do you know for the cable that goes from the throttle body and connects underneath the intake manifold, how close is your to actually touching the manifold? Im just after puting in the new harness but the cable is basically touching the manifold. Cant remember if it was like that originally
I’ll have to double check. It clips into the support bracket that hold the manifold. So obviously it’ll be close. But I don’t think it touches.
I had the loom redone, new coil packs and its still running rough. So injectors next.
Hoping it doesn’t have to go that far!
Hi, have you tried to change the maf sensor because I had a similar problem and it solved it on mine.
I’ve had the maf mentioned. Along with the ecu. Or injectors. Of a faulty throttle body. Or head gasket.
I want to get an idea of the culprit rather than play parts darts!
@@jonathanroseman9957 what brand of mat did you get? Heard cheap ones aren’t great.
@@Beechams1042 i bought a cheap one because I wasn’t sure that it was the problem but I’m planning on getting a Bosch one. I’m not sure about the longevity of the cheap one but for now it does the job. The brand of mine is STARK which I bought from AUTODOC.
@@Beechams1042you can try to unplug it when the engine is running and if nothing change that means that the MAF is faulty
