Thanks, for sharing and please take care....you finished so much stuff...great job, love see all of it.. and stitching upnto the last minutes of the year...amazing
Wow four years already? I’ve watched you from the beginning. Love your videos, and all your projects. ❤
That quilt is lovely!
I got max pigeon box for Christmas I love all the designs. I'm stich the same bird. And the fur tree
Hi Jen and Carol. I can’t believe it’s been 4 years almost since you started your channel and I really enjoy your company whilst I stitch either at my sewing machine or by the fire, cross stitching. I had a tear when I saw those memory pillows, what a wonderful make. My Dad’s name was Fred, sadly he passed away in 2020. I have a few shirts and braces in a drawer that were his. I’m going to sew some of his shirts in a quilt one day. Happy New Year and let’s get crack’n we got a lot to do! Best wishes Alison ❤️🇬🇧
I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. Yours are among my favourites to watch. I love how you interact with each other even though it makes me a bit sad that I can’t get my daughter interested in stitching so that we could stitch together. I don’t have any in person stitchy friends either so really enjoy watching Flosstube. Looking forward to stitching with you once again through 2025!
Thank you so much for the lovely comment.
I've been watching you from the beginning and keep watching your channel because I love you, friends! I keep very accurate records, using the APQ for the UFO Trackers and a calendar/planner for a journal. I love setting goals and sewing things that inspire me. Thanks for being so inspiring!
Aww, thanks Moneik - you get so much done and you are inspiring too!
Carol, I agree with your feeling about stitching it is so relaxing for me. When I finish a project I look in my stash and pull another project. I do stitch 6 Christmas ornaments every year.
I just came back to cross stitching last year after many many many years! I don’t do seasonal stitching I just stitch what I feel like or knit or crochet on the day I’m sort of monogamous I like to finish what I start If there is a lot of confetti stitches I will take a break & sew something with block stitching I’m thinking of doing English paper piecing My brother died 7 years ago & he was a fan of waistcoats all his life Not sure what I would make out of the pieces but I thought I could get started as it will take a while to get enough put together to make something I just found flosstube when I started stitching & came across you & the others I watch It’s so addicting! I’ve watched some of your earlier flosstubes & will be watching more Congrats on your 4 yrs & Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday Carol! Wishing you many more creative years. I'm a monogamous stitcher. The next project is whatever calls to me most when I'm ready to start the next thing. I would like to make up some of my kits this year and decrease my to be FFO'd pile.
Happy New Year and Happy Birthday! Love all the stitching and finishes. I do wip go with very generic words like fall, spring, or animal and then just pull what I fell like doing for as long as I want. See ya soon.
Happy birthday! I have some of the fabric from this week’s quilt backdrop. I had made a table topper using a Thangles tree skirt pattern from 2002 or 2003. I also have the blue fabric from your bag lining only in a light green. This year my goal is to finish projects and use what I already own. This is the goal for quilting, knitting and cross stitch.
Happy Birthday Carol. My plans are to try to finish something, anything! I have so many projects that I want to do. I am doing a blessing sampler, so I guess that is a goal to finish by the end of the month.
I cannot believe how much you guys get accomplished! Thank you for sharing your creative genius with us!
I love the pillow covers made from a loved one's shirts... such a beautiful gift!
I am a seasonal stitcher and also have long term projects that transcend the seasons.
Mostly I just stitch on whatever I feel like each day. I wish I would keep lists and be more organized, but so far I don't!
I always have "to go" project bag in case of appointments and waiting and it has a 14 count easy to see project in it.
Happy Birthday Carol!! There is no way you are 80!! Congratulations to both of you on all of the FFOs you achieved this year! That's an awesome accomplishment! I'm a monogamous stitcher, so I pick out a few pieces I would like to have stitched by year's end. This year it will be a mix of some seasonal, some samplers, and continued work on a series with 51 pieces. I've got 5 done and 46 to go...should take me quite a while 😂. Enjoy the snow!
Thank you for another video. I really enjoy the two of you together. I guess I am kinda seasonal but generally I start stitching and keep going until i get tired of the project. Whatever I pick up first I keep going. It would be fun to be in Indianapolis and I love Shipshiwana and the Amish. Live in Kansas so not sure when that will happen. Have fun this year.
Happy new year ladies. Honestly I stitch on what I feel like unless it’s a gift for someone then I tend to pick it first. I don’t stitch seasonally or anything either.
Happy New Year! I just love the quilt you showed this week it is just beautiful. Since I'm a monogamous cross Stitcher, I tend to think what my next project is going to be. I do have kits ready to go, but that doesn't mean they're next in line.
Thank you for another great time! I enjoy watching your interactions and accomplishments! WOW! I like to crochet, knit, sew, cross stitch, embroider and many other crafts as well. My approach for 2025 is to fully finish each project. We can all dream, right? :) I find that so far I am a seasonal sticher. I am working on my first goal of a blessings sampler to have completed within the month of January. I picked A Houe is... by Stitches Through The Years by Lana Lenskaya. Prayers that your father/husband gets to feeling much better soon.
Happy Birthday, Carol! Thank you both for sharing your stitching and quilting and all your lovely projects. I get almost as much of a kick at seeing others finished projects as I do my own... almost! 😊. As far as what project I choose to work on next, I tend to stitch seasonally. However, I just stitch what I want when I want. Sometimes I'll work on a project until I finish it because I love it so much. As for quilting, I'm all over the place. I go to an "in town" 3 day retreat every month, September thru April. We go home every evening. So that is where I quilt the most. I'm trying to work on UFO's but here again, I get pretty tempted by new things. I'm starting 2 QAL's from FQS. Both are Lori Holt quilts, Vintage Christmas and The Quilted Snowman. Happy New Year! may we all accomplish a lot of finishes this year!
I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since you started FT. Feels like yesterday I found you. 😮. My only plans this year are to finish & FFO my daughter’s ring bearer pillow & wedding sampler….and to survive the process of planning a wedding it is A LOT. Come 6-8-25 when she is off on her honeymoon I will be doing whatever I feel like crafting whenever I feel like it 😂
Happy birthday Carol!! It sounds like you both had a very productive 2024! I hope to get to visit with you in person again this year at Market!
Planning on it!
I’m going to finish all the months for the Home chart from stitching with the housewives. I throw in other things as I choose. Not really a seasonal stitcher, makes no difference to me, any progress is progress. Thank you for the great flosstube! Happy New Year!
Thank you for sharing!!💚💚 How is it already 4 years that I’ve “known” you?!?!? 😉 It is so fun to see all the different projects you both do! I have spreadsheets for tracking finishes and WIPs and kits - but I do not “plan” what I stitch. I tend to pick up what I feel like, and work on that til it’s done. I’m excited to hear how everyone else makes a plan for their projects. 😊
I stitch on whatever calls to me. I will stitch anything at anytime. I am not a seasonal stitcher. I also quilt, crochet, knit and all the things. I have three stitchy projects, 4 quilting projects, and two crochet projects. I like the feeling of accomplishment, but sometimes I like to start something new and then a few days later I will finish two or three things that I had going already. So I am sort of a controlled chaos. I love it. I too find all relaxing and enjoyable. I just need more time in the day and more days during the weekend. Don't we all, right?
Thank you so much for showing this alphabet pattern. You showed it once before when you got the charms. Love it then but you didn't have the pattern then. I have already ordered it can't wait to get it. As I watch more of your flosstube which I love, you mentioned Stitchville it was a stitch shop in MN the only one in the Minneapolis area unfortunately it closed in May really miss it. .love watching the both of you also love the added quilts.
Always a pleasure watching the ladies! I enjoy that you are both multi craters and the projects you show are lovely. My plan or 2025 is to get through some of my kitted projects. I really started kitting projects in 2020 (YIKES) I am not a seasonal stitcher, so I'll be doing some Christmas and Halloween this summer
I used to be a monogamous stitcher, but this past year I started and kitted about 8 patterns. I pretty much kept it in the season it was for, but as most of us, I will never have enough years to stitch everything I have. I don't really have any goals, but I would like to finish one or two projects before I start another one. Good luck to me. Lol!
I mostly work whatever is calling to me. No plans, but I stitch every day (well, almost).
Hi! Watching you guys while we get all the precipitation, which includes snow a lot, sleet/rain= freezing temperatures. Southern Indiana by Ohio River. Love all your FFO’s Congratulation’s! I as of now have no plans, have never made list or goals. I work on my crafts mostly in the winter colder times because we make a garden and I can some of those things. I have flower garden so not much time in warmer months. I like to quilt, some sewing. I knit and crochet. I bead and cross stitch.I always have my hands busy. I may start Ali’s of what I get done though😊
Thanks for sharing your talents so we can all appreciate the results. Every time you show a finished project, I feel like maybe I could do that too. It really helps also to know there are others that share this hobby, and love it so. You two girls are so precious and I can see the bond between you which is soooo refreshing these days. Looking forward to seeing you two next time!!
You Ladies are so fun to watch! I don't make many plans for my cross stitch or quilting but I want to try it this year. Usually they are specific gifts I am making. I think I might do WIPGO and the American Patchwork and Quilting UFO tracker. I have my first grandbaby coming this summer so I do have a few baby quilts I will be starting soon.
You two always brighten my day when I watch your video! I LOVE the quilt behind you! I googled it and Jenny Doan has the pattern at Missouri Star Quilt Co. I'm not a very experienced quilter, but I think I could make this one! I took a screen shot of yours for inspiration. Thanks for sharing it. I so agree, Carol, that stitching relaxes me. I take it everywhere and am never bored! I love it when I see people complete their goals/lists! So great job, Jennifer and thanks for the motivation. I can never get everything I want done for Christmas and this year I was stressed to complete gifts I planned, so in 2025 I am doing at least a little bit of Christmas every day. Texstylust came up with that, and even made a little card to check off every day. I am a list maker and it works well for me, too. I hope to fully finish all my finished stitched pieces, and try to keep up with them. I keep records in my regular planner.
I usually have 4 - 5 projects going at a time. When I finish one I go to my stash and pick another. I need to stay out of the shops- LOL! A friend is teaching me to quilt. I find it challenging! My goal is to turn some of my cross stitch projects into small quilts to hang for different seasons. I just finished my prairie school Santa’s into little pillows to display. My larger goal is to perfect my stitching and start the Anniversaries of the heart project to honor some of my ancestry and also try more quilt projects. 😅.
Love watching everything you showed.
I am not a planner of alot of what I stitch but there are things I want to get to. I am not seasonal, I stitch most things whenever it gets started. I have things kitted to pull but that does not mean I will pick those I may kit something else just because.
Happy New Year! I really wen not watching you two! You both are so sweet, love your relationship! My goal this year is to crocheting more. To start that goal I decided to do a temperature blanket. To cross stitch more, I'm doing the WIPGO board with my favorite WIPS that I want to get finish.
Happy Birthday Carol and Happy New Year to both of you! Over the last 2-3 years I have done very little quilting. The last 4 months I have done more and finished 2 quilts and really enjoyed getting back to that. I have a kit of Tilda fabrics I really want to get started on. I pretty much work on what moves me. Snowed last night and this morning, started on Winter Wonderland by The Camping Stitcher. I usually FFO as I finish because I want to enjoy them.
Happy birthday Carol!! You both accomplish a lot this year. I’m going to try the “list” method. I always feel like I don’t accomplish a lot at the end of the year. Best wishes for a happy new year
I too have been watching your videos from the beginning, and love the type of projects you do. Your comments about embracing where you have moved to was point on for me. I moved 1500 miles from my home province, and then my parents followed me to Ontario, Canada. I too used the line to my brother - see, they like me best! However, they were still 5 hours away, but my Dad told me that he was now only a 5 hour drive, rather than 20 hours! When I moved, I adopted the phrase "Bloom where you are Planted", and eventually found a Stoney Creek design that I liked with that phrase. And to both of you, having milestone birthdays this year, I turned 70 last March, but didn't like that number, so am now Sixty-ten. I was sixty nine before, so sixty ten was next, right? It really did help my mental process at turning another decade number. And finally, I am a stitch what I want, when I want. I normally work for 5-6 days on a project, and then switch to whatever tickles my fancy. I've considered Wip-go, or some of the challenges, in the past, but that didn't work for me. Happy stitching!
This year I’m going to go back to a stitchy schedule for my Halloween and Christmas projects. I plan to stitch Halloween on the 13th, 30th, and every Friday of the month. For My Christmas projects, I’ll stitch those on the 25th of the month and on Sundays. I stitch many gift ornaments for friends and family and those will be sprinkled in. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, and thank you for sharing your crafting, you both make such beautiful things. I have a bunch of patterns kitted and when I am ready for a new project, I pick whichever one is shouting the loudest 😂. With being in the southern hemisphere I struggle with seasonal stitching as the latest pattern releases never align, and I don't want to stitch snow scenes in 40 degrees Celsius.... I don't have project goals beyond finishing more than I start and trying to ffo at least one or two of the finishes during the year. Happy stitching and I look forward to your next episode.
Great video!!! I am not a seasonal stitcher. I just check my patterns (usually the newest ones) and decide what I am going to start, specially when I finish something, so I do not have so many wips. Actually I have 9 wips. My purpose for 2025 is to finish the beading of my Mirabilia, Cristal Symphony. In 2024 I finished 39 projects. Some are mini pillows, small exchanges and pieces to frame. I wish you have a great New Year 2025 and a lot of time to stitch!!!
Love your review! My husband has recently been diagnosed with Cirrhosis of Liver - non alcoholic- it has been a hard road as he is not able to do many things. He is in the process of getting approved for a transplant which required lots of tests. He has been in the hospital 3 times since October. So I understand how sitting in a hospital goes.
I am also a quilter and after moving three years ago I finally have my sewing area set up to begin sewing again which is exciting! I have many finished pieces in both cross stitching and quilting that I would like to fully finish but will have to see how it goes. I usually only work on one project at a time unless I get distracted but something 😊.
Hoping for good news for your husband!
Always enjoy your videos. My EGA and ANG chapters are having challenges to finish something less than 50% done. I've picked out 2 projects and will focus on them first. 1 larger and 1 smaller. Then I'll get back to my seasonal stitching.
I have some WIPs coming into the new year that I’m hoping to focus on and not bring over another year😂
Plans. Oh my, where should I start. A brand new baby is coming into our family in February, so I want to make a quilt for him. After decorating my house for Christmas, I realized I should do 1 more large Santa cross stitch picture so each one of my girls and my 3 grandchildren can have 1 after I am gone. Working now on lilliviolette Santa Collection to accomplish that goal. I am akso working on Christmas Wreath by Stitchrovia. Started last January. I have 4 of the 6 pages completed. Would like that framed by Christmas 2025. When all those are completed, I plan on working
on smalls for all the holidays throughout the year. I always look forward to your videos and enjoy my time spent with you. Wishing you peace, health, and the tge best this year.
Happy belated birthday, Carol! Thank you for a wonderful video. You both get so much accomplished! Since I am a monogamous stitcher, I started 29 projects in 2024, and finished 28. I am a horrible FFOer-I only FFOed 8 things and that is only because they were Christmas gifts. One of my goals for 2025 is FFO more. OK, are you ready for the way I do plans? No laughing! I have a chair next to me that I just fill up all year with kits that I’ve bought that I want to get to. The way I make my big plans is I go through those kits at the end of the year and pick out the ones that I most want to start. Those stay in the chair and the rest get put in a tubbie. Real scientific, right?!? LOL Right now I am working on my blessing sampler, Anna Funk by Erica Michaels. As of right now, I have 20 project bags in my next-to-be-stitched chair. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I'm delighted that 'great minds think alike' -- as I have stitched "Gather Memories" -- started on Xmas Day and finished New Year's Eve -- and have "Gather Blessings" ready to go. *And* I did up the "Precious Friend" piece (Bent Creek) for a friend who turned 80 on Xmas Eve. I had to wait till now to send it due to Canada Post's post-strike backlog before Xmas, but she's got it now and loves it. I wonder how many more pieces we'll have in common this year?! 😉😊
First I’m not a seasonal stitcher. I am a planner. And the least favorite part about stitching is Kevin bangs up so I normally get a bunch of things up in one or two days and have them ready to just pole and then I go for. I do do whip go, So I use that first start.
Thank you for the video. I am going to do a wipgo board. I will try to be faithful to it. I will do a combo of quilting and cross stitch. I am also considering doing 12 ornaments for the next year.. again a combo of quilting and cross stitch and embroidery.
I have decided to put 24 Christmas ornament projects on my WIPGO board this year. I am primarily a seasonal stitcher so I figure if I want to get a bunch of Christmas ornaments done I need to work on them all year. Otherwise, my plan is to finish two projects before I start a new one. I'd like to bring my overall WIP count down in 2025.
Loved all of your FO’s, FFO’s and plans. Carol, Happy Birthday🎉. I thought you were younger then me, I’m 77. What a great birthday you had. Good job, Jennifer! The pillow gifts you made for your friend’s family were so special. I’m sure they loved them to snuggle with. I also find cross stitch very relaxing! Over the years friends have said that they wouldn’t have the patience or be able to see it. As soon as I pick up my needle I’m in heaven. I’m doing WIPGO again this year. Last year I had all wips and finished quite a few, more then half. I don’t specify amount of time or stitches to be done. Just work on them with other projects scattered into the mix. This year it’s all new patterns I’ve had or had kitted up but hadn’t started. Btw, are one or both of you going to Stitch-Con in June? It will be my first time. Weekend A
Neither of us is going this year due to my son’s graduation. You’ll have a great time!
Oh yeah Crystal reindeer patterns are super pricey on the second market and the charms goodness but I love them ❤ I really think I need them in my life😂 the little red dish was on GaRon Tottenbags website maybe two weeks ago and they had them in green and white as well! Probably gone now but it’s worth a look anyway! 😊love it all ladies and gorgeous quilt Jenn! Momma should be happy today 6,5 inches of snow here in Evansville and it’s been steadily icing since about 11 and it’s 5pm now! Nasty and cold thought! Happy belated Birthday Carol 🎊 ❤ plans for me Finn’s anything before I start a new stitch but I broke that rule today and started a Teresa Kogut snowman ⛄️ since it’s snowing and a freebie Valentine chart😂 just like me to cave already 😊
Oh ladies i did so enjoy my first viewing of your floss tube. Happy birthday Carol. I am an aida stitcher, a quilter, lover of purple. I love doing christmas smalls and do a new decoration for each family member who sits down at the table christmas day, usually about 20 of those. I am currently xstitching labels gfor a xstitc h getaway in october ..about 70 of those i think. I also love making erica michaels berries.yes, i do jump from project to project. I also enjoy crochet and knitting but struggle a bit with arthritis fingers. Have a wonderful year🎉. Ps i am in Australia
Thank you for watching from down under!
2025 Hopefully Will be a finishing year. Jan 1 I started a crochet afghan that’s been waiting kitted up for 5 years; I have a list of 30 cross stitch starts and kitted up bags which are now in a row (including one from the 90’s) by my recliner, 3 quilts that have been started are on the ‘25 list, too! We’ll see how my “plan” goes.
Happy New Year! I always enjoy your videos and I usually forget to comment. I love it that you partake in so many crafts; as do I. I knit, crochet, dye yarn, weave, spin, embroider, punch needle, sew and X St; but for the past 4 years, X st has been my main squeeze! Now, I’m mainly monogamous with those other crafts and HUGELY polygamous with X st! 🤣 For plans- this’ll be my 2nd year doing Wipgo. Last year I had a 50/50 success rate…mainky due to all of our travels now that we are retired. I changed my goals on Wipgo and I think that I’ll have better success this year. I am a seasonal stitcher and I’ll stop on a dime when I feel that the season has ended and my poor projects just get left behind! I want to make significant progress ont he large projects that I’ve started the past 2 years in X St. I want to FFO 500% more! I’ll just go where the mood takes me in my other crafty areas. Have a great few weeks and I hope you get lots of snow! ❄️
So you wanted to hear some of us with our plans for 2025. I do stitch a lot of just one or two of projects. My plans are : 1st week stitch on my full coverage piece , it's 134,550 stitches (crazy) on 14 ct.Aida that I had to buy a 2 yd piece but it is only 16 inches tall. This is a village of Europe in the past. My 2nd week: will be my knitting that I do often. 3rd week: work on older quilts as well as start of new twin one. 4th week: for making gifts of various crafts. I do want to mention that for being 70 I did finish 77 different items. This year I will not be finishing no where near that figure.
Happy new year! I am very much a seasonal stitcher. I did kit up about 20 Christmas ornament projects in December and got a few done. I hope to do at least one a month. But currently am on the downhill slide of mistletoe manor by pansy patch quilts. Halfway thru peppermint shoppe 1949 w silks 😊 and started G Leger’ on New Year’s Day. I had kitted it 3 yrs ago so it is a goal to stitch it this year. I’ve done a fair amount of punch needle the last few months. Am going to try some appliqué ornaments maybe. I keep track of what I’ve started and finished but don’t set goals other than having a list of what is kitted and others I want to stitch ( which changes every time a new pattern come out! I do have a half dozen things that need to be FFO’d. I finished 83 cross stitch things and 8 punch needle on 2024 most of which were new starts. Some large some smaller ornaments some medium sized
At the end of each month I write down a short list of what I'd like to work on the following month, and will pull those project bags out. I'm somewhat of a seasonal stitcher, but mostly just what I feel like working on. I'm limiting myself to joining SALs & New Starts this year as my WIPS are out of control. I need to FFO items, as I think I'm too picky with my work, that perfectionist in me gets in the way, but I'm getting better. I tend to only FFO gifts, hope to do more for Me this year. Fun Video, TY
I have at least 7-8 kits for quilts to do. I’m determined not to buy any more until I make what I have!! I did fall again for the 2025 mystery blocks from the FQS!! I’m still working on 2024’s!!
How do you guys fit it all in!! ?? It’s a decision to go sew at machine or sit in my chair and cross stitch. I do have some finishing to do also!!!
Oh funny I just heard your question for this podcast .
I intend to sew along with FQS on the Lori Holt snowman quilt !! It starts in a couple weeks!! I’m also going to finish my grand daughter’s college T shirt quilt. We will see how much year I have left after that!!
Oh that’s another thing I want to read more this year so I’m doing audio books. I can sew and listen!!
Just love watching and listening to both of you gals!! So lucky to do crafts with our moms. I lost my mom last January 51 days short of her 100th birthday !! I was very lucky to have her 70 years!!
Really enjoyed hearing about your big day, Carol, and so glad you celebrated and had lots of fun! Jennifer, I really love the little Brittercup tree finish and your reindeer are looking great! My stitching plans for this year are to touch all my WIPs, and there are a lot, but I love them all and want to work on them and get more finishes. Also, I want to finish some of my quilt projects that have been languishing in my craft closet. There are a few of those also. I hope to stitch and quilt more and by not setting as many boundaries on my stitching I hope to accomplish more. I really planned too many finishes on my WIPGO on bigger projects and there was not enough time. Happy New Year to you both and looking forward to your Spring retreat! See you then! Dottie
See you then Dottie!
Prayers for your dad!
What’s next in 2025?? I’ve found I’m definitely a project stitcher - with plans for the state fair each year. I select 9-10 projects to complete based on available categories.
I can’t believe it has been four years since you began doing flosstube. I still remember the notification of your very first one. I have enjoyed every one. I am kind of a seasonal stitcher and quilter. I have been re-evaluating planned projects to see if I still want to do them. Stitching and quilting are good for my soul. Enjoyed all you shared today. Happy Birthday, Carol!
This was a fun flosstube - thank you.
I'm sorry your husband / father is having challenging times. It is not easy, and I wish for you strength. Also peace as you go through your days.
Stitchville USA was in Minneapolis, MN and closed either last year or in ‘23 just can not remember…
Happy New Year and Happy Birthday! You’re my favorite channel! I haven’t cross stitched in years but I knit and quilt so I enjoy you both. Stay healthy and I look forward to your next video!
Four years!?! Wow!! That you, ladies. You bring joy to us with each visit. I hope 2025 is good to you and yours.
The amount you finish and FFO always amazes me. Thank you so much for sharing with us. You got me right in the heart with the pillow cases, Jennifer. Such a blessing to the family.
I have tens projects on the go right now, seven are full coverage pieces. One is a Mill Hill so my aim for the year is to finish the Mill Hill one and stitch 10% on the other six full coverage. Nope, haven't yet decided if that's 10% of the total stitches or the remaining stitches 😂😅😂😅😂
Happy New Year! I am a pretty monogamous stitcher, so i don't have a lot of WIPS going at a time, and I don't really plan out what I'm going to work on next until I finish a project. I do know that I'm going to start Fruits of Plenty by Modern Folk Embroidery, and I'd love to learn to hand sew (no space or money for a machine yet!) and get back into crocheting/knitting a little more.
Just a thought, could you put grommets on each side in one corner then run a strap thru for a corner handle on your bag? Also, I made the tart ornaments and cut adhesive felt circles to stick on the back. A nice finishing touch. Happy New Year and have a great 2025!
Stitchville usa is in suburb of Minneapolis and closed last year.
Thanks Cathy!
Always like your floss tube. You completed so many projects.
On your knitting what is the name of the hat pattern?
Also it was so nice of you to make the pillow cases very kind loving gesture.
Would like to complete all my knitting, crocheting, cross stitch embroidery projects I have started. I will make the list and try to check all off.
Those memory pillow cases are so wonderful. We lost our 6 yr. old nephew last year and a friend made a quilt out of his T-shirts. His parents loved it so much. What a treasure!
I don't make a lot of stitchy plans. I only have about 5-6 wipes going at a time. I don't usually start a new wip until I finish one. I do plan stitches that will be gifts though.
I have been watching your TH-cam from the beginning. You are as lovely, entertaining, inspiring and creative today, as you were 4 years ago. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Mother/Daughter relationship, humor and all of your projects. Prayers for strength, when things are challenging, calm when you need it and good health to you and your family. Happy Birthday Carol.❤
I can't believe it's been 4 years. It doesn't feel like it's been that long. I usually determine my stitching based on seasonal stitching. I do find that the more I love a pattern the longer it takes me to start it. I think I love them so much I don't want to ruin them. I also stitch whatever's calling to me.
HNY 2025 🎉 ... and the 8 candles are 70yrs & 1 candle for good luck! I saw your chocolate cake.
I have 2023. Happy to share
Just wanted to say you both are so appreciated! Thank you for sharing it all with us.
Happy New Year!
Happy birthday. The quilt behind you now gives you a bow in your hair.
My goals for 2025 are Enjoying cross stitching and working in my Quilt Club Love to watch your flosstube

Did you know Santa's reindeer might all be pregnant females? Rutting season is in the fall and the males shed their antlers in early December, after rutting season. They don't start to regrow until spring. The females don't lose theirs until after they give birth.
I'm a semi seasonal stitcher. In August I start thinking about Fall & Christmas stitching and will start a large project. Today, Jan 5, was the last day of stitching on Jim Shore's 12 Days Santa. I got to a good stopping place until later in the year when I will pick it up again. In mid Dec I had done a small start on the Reindeer from The Year in the woods series by Cottage Garden Samplings. That's what I am doing as my Winter stitch. I will stitch a Valentines small in early February. In March I might do a St. Pat's small and then start something for Easter or Spring. I try to stitch patriotic in June & July. I have done very little that is specifically Summer stitching. I try to fit in everyday stitches here & there through out the year.
I have heard that about the reindeer!
Carol, you are now officially an 80s lady!! Blessings as you go forward in your day to day journey!!
How sweet of your fam to surprise you with friends to help you celebrate!!
I so enjoy seeing the stitchy work you both share..thank you for that!!
What great achievements you both reached in 2024 in all your crafts. Love seeing the progress
Thank you both for such great videos! I can’t believe it is almost 4 years now! This year I really don’t have specific plans other than try to get my WIP count down! Last year I started with 24 WIPS and ended the year with 18! I’m really happy with that! I also started several projects and made 14 ornaments for my grandkids! It was a good year stitching wise! Hoping 2025 is the same!
Happy Birthday Carol! You are a beautiful lady.❤
Carol and Jennifer...this was a delightful posting...congratulations on your accomplishments...Happy Birthday Carol...best wishes in 2025...you two are so sweet❤
Loved your floss tube today. Love seeing all the fun things you guys are working on and you’re finishes. That was really nice the pillows that you had made for your friends family that were made from her father’s shirts. What a nice keepsake. 💕
Thank you for another fabulous video. Happy birthday Carol, you look amazing! Definitely 80 years young! Wonderful crafting too - the quilting, stitching etc. I do acrostics and WIPGO so that’s how I decide what to work on. I do have about 30 projects kitted up ready to pull in whenever I get the desire for a new start! Thoughts and prayers for your husband/Dad.
I go through my bags and stitch what makes me happy. Sometimes what craft depends on time. I often save quilting for when I have 4 hours minimum.
I'm in the middle of Begin Row now. I love it! And I've done a fair amount of taking stitches out, putting stitches in too.
Thanks for sharing - love the projects and finishes ❤
Stitchville USA was a store in Minnesota that closed in early 2024. It was a sad day in our world. This is my first year doing WIPGO and I am loving not having to make all the decisions. In between I work on what I want. I am using WIPGO to do the projects that have been hanging around too long. Thanks for sharing all your projects!
Happy birthday. Here's to another year of adventures
Loved the video. The quilt behind you is so pretty. I have 8 quilts planned for 2025, varying sizes. I have 4 Wips for cross stitch right now and I am embroidering the back of a jean vest with a bumblebee and flowers. I wish my daughter would help keep me sane. LOL. You are both so much fun to watch thank you for your content. Best wishes.
Love your sweatshirt can I ask where you got it. Living in South Dakota I can use it. Happy belated birthday! I’m always amazed by the things you both accomplish. I’m retired and feel like I get nothing done.
I have a lot of WIPS, so I basically stitch on what I want. Do a little seasonal stitching. I’m not good with sticking with plans. I am doing the 30 minutes a day temperature stitching. My daughter and I started a flosstube so I try to have a variety to show. Happy stitching! Happy birthday! I’m a December birthday also.
Happy belated birthday! I wouldn't have guessed. I figured out that I had started 17 WIPs and finished 11 in 2024. I stitch gifts and still had two larger pieces left from 2023 and 2024. Then we went to a coworker's Xmas wedding, so I started a third gift last night. I developed a stitching calendar for 2025 to better touch WIPs (my oldest WIP is 24 years old because it is not a gift) and to focus on finishing the gifts. Yesterday I inventoried my overflowing fabric stash and made spreadsheets for what has been assigned to patterns, but not started (21 fabrics) and what is undesignated (25 fabrics). I watched Laura/Stitching by the Shore today and saw how small her Long Dog Fish and Ships turned out on 18 ct aida so now I assigned a metallic blue Newcastle 40 ct linen to my copy of that pattern. I'm a project stitcher and try to keep my WIP count
Your video was so inspiring. Happy Belated Birthday Carol!! You and Jen are so productive. I turned 73 on Dec. 28th and I am no where as productive as you are. I hope to be better in 2025. Carol, my favorite meal at Maggiano's is Mushroom Ravioli too. Yum!! Happy Stitching!
Thank you for another enjoyable video! I stitch whatever appeals to me each day so I am usually stitching the wrong season. Sending you best wishes for the new year!
First of all Carroll you look great-Happy Birthday! You must have been a child bride! I have several patterns that I want to do through the year and more I can think of. Enjoy the snow! I have watched you two since the beginning. you two are a hoot!
