The Reason Kawasaki Left the 2022 KX450 Unchanged!

  • New bike season is officially among us, as we took delivery of the 2022 Kawasaki KX450 today, at Glen Helen Raceway. Although the machine is unchanged for the new year, the 450cc Kawasaki is undoubtedly one of our favorites in the fleet, as it took the top step for the 2021 SML bike of the year. Before letting our test riders loose, we had a conversation with Kawasaki's Mike Chavez about the machine. Stay tuned for the first impression!

    I’m happy with my 21 450..I got it October of 2020… almost feels old to me lol. Can’t wait for the 2023 now!

    Next year maybe they can make the muffler stick out further than the rear fender...

    Put the third rear tire on mine today. The more I ride it the more I love it.
    Resprung 2022 kx450. Fat pegs. Steering stabilizer... ride it like ya stole it. :) 👽👽👽

    Hopefully they fixed their exploding clothes!!! There is a recall on them and Honda last year 450 ecu has been nothing but problems no matter how many times you send it in. My friends got pissed and sold them.

    Problem still is taller riders even with the lower pegs and bars forward its still cramped. Being taller it is not comfortable standing and jumping....bars hit you at the waist and feels really uneasy and sketchy. Would be great if pegs dropped even lower and back further to really open the rider compartment up more. Pegs are way to far forward even in the lowered position. My 2004 CRF450 with PC clamps, Renthal Twin Carmichael High bars and IMS Pro lower pegs was way more roomy then my KX450 with lowered fastway pegs, lowered position, xtrig clamps +20mm risers and Renthal Twin Carmichael High bars. Working on 3d printing new peg brackets to test lower and further back positions
    Damn all you MIDGETS!
    Lets not get started on the new EURO HIPSTER cut of all riding gear!!!!!
