Some motorcycle company should start making bikes like this. IMO they will sell lots of them in Europe. Imagine having a bike that can enter all the 'clean transport zones' without a fear of not finding a charger outside the city. Awesome!
to do hybrid like this are not ideal, because of the weight of the motor, controller, battery, this motorcycle become a extra 1 person permanen passenger weight,...hybrid should make like BMW i3 car concept, the driving motor should only electric, battery, and have a small gas engine to charging DC battery when needed

Good innovative petrol_electric motorbike .The test run shown the electric control maximum speed is less than 55 km_per_hour. Normal petrol bike running is 120
km_per_hour . The limitation is due to Lithium_Ion_Battery capability . But anywhere , it is a very good starting for motorbike .Hopefully in future electric can achieve petrol status .Very good achievement for Hondabike .Great technician_engineering task job done .
Awesome work on making an already fuel efficient motor scooter even more so.
By allowing the battery to charge while in gas mode, you have better EV range while also improving total fuel range.
Probably best to start in EV mode, then when low on power switch to gas mode until adequate electric power is available.
WRONG. there is no such thing as FREE POWER.
a car alternator does NOT RUN FOR FREE it creates a FORCE THAT IS OVERCOME BY BURNING MORE FUEL.
THE BIKE will not charge up battery FOR FREE, more fuel will be used to OVERCOME THE LOAD of charging.

Excellent conversion job, the best of both worlds! 👍 ... BUT, @ 6:17 you fitted the chain 'Circlip' the WRONG WAY AROUND. The closed end should face the direction of Travel; otherwise the open end could catch some where and SRING IT OFF. 🤕😲

Just remember, if its an E-bicycle it does not require registration. (in Australia). well done though I was considering the same idea. Then realised it would require Yearly rego etc. I will build an e-bike.

I was thinking of doing a similar thing to a Yamaha Zuma a couple years back
i think there must be a possible way to make a continuosly charged electric vehicle .. like the chain connect to a dynamo or anything that can produced electric power then using a converter to charge the battery on that vehicle
I have question, how much drag does that electric motor cause when it's in "recharge mode" and vice versa when the gas engine is off and you're running in Electric mode?

is the brake sensor used? if not then the battery voltage when gas and brake clash occurs will quickly damage the battery and controller.

Have you thought about putting a lockout on the gear shift so it can't be accidently put into gear when the electric motor is being used?
Some way to recharge the Lithium battery when using the petrol engine would be handy.

Hi,I don't know how to show it,because I haven't videos in utube.I did this project 1 year ego and I passed about 7000 km already.
I can use my hybrid on electricity only about 100 km.I have Li-ion battery 74V 2700Wth.El.hub motor-QS 3000Wt.
90% of my traveling I am using electrical mode.I don't worry about resting capacity of my battery,because if battery becomes empty I can start gasoline engine and continue my traveling.
If I need more dynamic acceleration or more capacity,I can use both motors.In this case gasoline engine continously running in idle speed redy to be clutch in any time.
If my battery is empty,I can move on gasoline engine and use El.hub motor like generator for charging battery.

What if you run both electric and engine at the same time? Will it improve acceleration?
i think it would improve horsepower about 30%.. (7HP IC engine + 2,5HP = ~9,5HP )
To to connect the starter to 6v off the battery pack and throw away the original battery. And make original switch as the key for all power and a toggle yo switch between electric and gas. Also regenerate charge would be awesome.
