Good work Jonny, nothing fun about doing that💪
I've done the half monty version a couple of times in the past few months to find out where I should be aiming for on the full frontal (short enough to actually make for a good workout without several days of recovery needed too)... but haven't grown the sack needed to put myself through it yet! Time for me to man up

The 4DP is an hour, it sucks yes but I'd definitely suggest getting it done, if nothing else it is a hell of a workout. Now grow some balls and commit!!! Also, let us know how you get on. Good luck!

I did only Ramp test and sprint. In the future I wanna test 5min and 12min critical power

Look at it as the same as only testing your strength on one end and 20 minute effort on the other, you're missing insight into your conditioning abilities - crucial for MTB.

would you do a comparison of the Wahoo and Trainer Road on the F.T.P. test?

Pedal C.I.R.C.L.E.S.....lots of lost power pedalling up / down. Regardless f technique....clearly working super hard. Catch the steam coming off?

I definitely have to work more on technique, the inefficiency was probably the cause of the steam! Haha!

How are you ever going to know if you improve when using ERG mode for the 20 minute? You’re selling yourself short doing that.

Add 2-3% next time on erg mode and it’ll run more consistently but you have that percentage of improvement. Obviously if you leave erg on and keep your level the same you’ll just be repeating the same FTP so that’s pointless unless starting a block of training and you’d be happy to start where you left off.
I find this way is a more consistent power and you’re not as likely to spike and drop off.
