Ooo I was wondering. What kind of fish pair best with shrimp in a community tank. Like what tankmates are least likely to eat and harass shrimp.
I’ve got dwarf honey gourami’s with neocaridinas. And guppy’s with neos too.
But for a large community tank what kind of tetras, livebearers, …other fish, are the safest ?

@@Griffin050A1t Some that I've kept are Harlequin Rasboras, Ember Tetras, Panda and Pygmy Corydoras, Kuhli Loacheas, Hillstream Loaches, Chili and Dwarf Rasboras, Otocinclus Catfish. Check this video out I made on 20 tank mates for your shrimp: th-cam.com/video/Zk_KOBq9qT8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2JtoWc458RzC17ds

      That is amazing!
People think Bettas are killing machines but that's because they're mostly mistreated

This video was perfectly timed to be publishes, as I've decided to close down my 15 gallon, but I have some amano shrimp but was wondering whether I should keep them with my betta or give them away as well.
    So thank you!

I've never had problems with betta fish with shrimp or any other inhabitants. But then I always had them in heavily planted community aquariums. I have usually had female betta. The previous one was a white dragon male plakat which I got to devour my detritus worms in the shrimp tank. The one I have now is a bog standard turquoise female and lives happily with her male paradise fish. They are always hanging out together in their 4ft heavily planted community aquarium with 100s of neocaridina skittles, 12 gold wcmm, 12 cpd, 12 pygmy corys, 7 kuhli loach, 5 peppered corys, 5 ottos, 5 amano shrimp, 3 nerite snails, and 2 yoyo loach

It looks like your tank has been setup to benefit the shrimp which is awesome to hear. I will be doing something similar when I setup my Betta tank shortly.

I'm guessing your Betta does not mind them at all.

I have a tangential question. At 2:32 I can see these smaller invertebrates on the leaf. I also have them in my shrimp tank. I wanted to know if this is detrimental to shrimp breeding. What are they called and what's your opinion on this? thanks!

Those are scuds and are basically harmless to your shrimp. They can however compete for food if their population gets out of control so try and siphon as many out when doing water changes. I usually leave a piece of food and when they collect on it, I siphon them out that way as they are pretty quick to swim away if you try removing the food.
