A wise man once said: "Some singers are great at using their head voice, other singers shine by means of their chest voice but it takes Mike Patton to add the *GROIN VOICE* to the mix!"
You can hear that guys like Mike Patton and Devin Townsend have actual good vocal technique when listening to their clean and harsh vocals. Even a guy like Serj Tankian fucked up his vocals way more than those guys - you can hear he is clearly talented but doesn't always use proper technique. Same with Brent Hinds from Mastodon, but he's a little more inconsistent, I think it may be moreso to do with substance intake lol.
@@arekhautaluoma4276 that is a big factor, been screaming myself for 13 years and smokin and drinkin do take a toll. However smokin DOES also tend to make your voice deeper too so can be beneficial to bass and baritone clean vocals in that way (not promoting smokin tobacco just speakin from my own experience lol)
See also Brandon Boyd. I think in his case it was a mix of technique issues and some septum thing with his nose. He still nails it sometimes but Patton's voice somehow has held up over the years
The way Patton wasn't throwing up a shredded throat by the next song (which was "Easy," by the way), but instead his singing voice was still beautiful and clear, is outstanding. A true virtuoso, I love it.
At some points he lets loose so much he's not even singing the lyrics! "Good stuff gets you... BEEEEEIIN' AND WAAADAGADAWAALAWAAAAAAASQUEEEAAAAALLLIN'!!"
Yup. agree with all of the above. Watched the whole performance cause of it. Indeed the best track of the show and one of the most unique, versatile, mind-blowing, ground shaking, ass raping vocals i've ever encountere . thank you.
This video puts alway a smile on my face! After all this years still one of my favorites. They have so much fun together such energy on stage... Amazing performance!
Whenever I want to see a great band really firing on all cylinders live I watch this band playing this song. Thankfully there's a bunch of cuckoo for caca videos to get through. This is an awesome one!
I was 20 when Angel Dust came out. There was an old down-low bar that had a CD 'jukebox'. They made the mistake of stocking AD. We would play Cuckoo and Jizzlobber for the dudes waiting for 'sweet home alabama'. The bar wench had a button to skip songs. They had no idea. We laughed hard.
He's like an insane demonic cartoon character.
tostare whole band is 😏
Well he's the voice actor for the Darkness in the games, so it kinda checks out
Cartoon Cat? Lol
"ACME Adventures of Captain Howdy": Starring Mike Patton as the voice of Captain Howdy. That would be a cartoon I would watch.
no one makes it more obvious that he's trying as hard as he can to be weird
A wise man once said: "Some singers are great at using their head voice, other singers shine by means of their chest voice but it takes Mike Patton to add the *GROIN VOICE* to the mix!"
NIMRODakaNIMROD that is the greatest descriptions of him I've ever seen.
HAHAHA!
Makes sense to a point...he's in primal instinct mode when he sings this stuff.

I love how deadpan the band are, no matter how crazy Mike acts. They're used to his insanity. The rest of us can only watch with open-mouthed awe.
With a turd on our lips.
@@theaspiration ... you knew what this was you were under my knowing eyes
I think I saw a smile after mike went for that high note at 0:48
1:25 sounds like a prehistoric creature
fucking brutal patton here!
Yeah he's definitely not completely human, there's some extra organs in there somewhere
Dominic
The most agrresive track from King for a day.... masterpiece
I think it's their heaviest period.
i cant stop smiling while watching this, such an awesome perfomance by mike
FuckOffAlready and to think this was 15 years after the album and he still sounds like he did years ago
omg this awesome, fucken amazingly excellece again....
The fact that Matt Tuck from BFMV and David Draiman from Disturbed needed vocal reconstructive surgery and Mike Patton didn't will always be a mystery
The Wrestling Connoisseur I think the man has part-robotic vocal cords. God damn
@@aximtaioreunin7917 I wouldn't at all be surprised

Mike Patton is hands down the greatest vocalist alive today. The 6 octave master.
For me he’s the GOAT singer and front man.
that moment when the live version sound 1000000 times better than the studio version
And the studio version is so good too. They're incredible live
Not really this is cool but Matt Wallace is pretty great.
Yessssss
@@slapthekillswitch How stupid and smug about your stupidity can you possibiy be, Matt Wallace didn't even work on the album that has this song.
The way Patton wasn't throwing up a shredded throat by the next song (which was "Easy," by the way), but instead his singing voice was still beautiful and clear, is outstanding. A true virtuoso, I love it.
Patton is amazing But One of the greatest drummers and baseplayers Ever. Puff.
Quite possibly their heaviest song. Great tune
Christian Avondet Have you listened to Malpractice?
Tyler James “Jizzlobber’s” pretty heavy as well
00:42 "Who let a panther into the venue??!" Best live version of this tune yet!
My school had a talent show a while ago and I played bass to this song
I got stopped about half way through
At some points he lets loose so much he's not even singing the lyrics! "Good stuff gets you... BEEEEEIIN' AND WAAADAGADAWAALAWAAAAAAASQUEEEAAAAALLLIN'!!"
That happens in the studio recording too tho
Best vocal artist of our time!
Have to keep rewinding to check out some of the amazing vocal sounds. I salute you Mr Patton!
Adam Walker 1:17 is the best sound I've ever heard from any human's mouth :)
My favourite song of the album!
His vocals are sick especially on the album, always brings a smile to my dial!
3:15 it just explodes!!! Love it!!

Wow!!! I love the studio version but this is fantastic. Mike Patton is a legend
God damn this is fantastic. I love this song and this is one of the heaviest performances out there. Absolutely killer.
3:12 That smile just says everything.
He can go to this to a classic Italian smooth tune. Patton is INSANE.
0:47 I'm guessing Mike saw a spider onstage.
Can't help but nod my head...sick performance!
One of my favorites from King for a day. Best live version I've seen. His vocals are just amazing here.
I was 9 when this was recorded. I'm now 20 and still listening to it.
Evil circus metal with some great guitars and a badass drummer
I was there! :)
Love this Track ... and what a Performance!
Yup. agree with all of the above.
Watched the whole performance cause of it.

This video puts alway a smile on my face! After all this years still one of my favorites. They have so much fun together such energy on stage... Amazing performance!
The song where Mike’s voice is the real insane one.
Mike Patton played some of the Zombies in Left 4 dead 2, and that makes me really happy.
Still love jamming to this at 2 in the morn.... perfect nightcap
Whenever I want to see a great band really firing on all cylinders live I watch this band playing this song. Thankfully there's a bunch of cuckoo for caca videos to get through. This is an awesome one!
You can't kill it! You can't kill it! You can't kill it!
Shit lives forever!
Jesus Christ that scared the shit out of me. I love it
It's my favourite FNM album. It took me years to dove into that song. This version leaves me with my jaw dropped every time!
my voice hurts by only watching this
I’m pretty sure that shit lives forever now, thanks for clearing that up Mike!
awesome, been smiling the whole song through
Only FNM can get away with a song like this, masterful.
FINALLY a well-recorded live version of that song here. Thanks a lot
In the last second of this Video we can hear the first chord of Easy.. 😝
One of rock greatest vocalist & pry my fav. FNM!
❤
THIS IS INSANE
wow this is awesome!
A lot of people don't really like faith no more, I just like it because it sounds good. Theres so much raw passion and energy in the music
How does he makes this scream at 1:18 ? Stunning !
Plus the one at 2.35 and the low growl at 2.45. Both very impressive
THE BEST BAND FOREVER!!!!
"Being good gets you stuff, being stuff gets you good" I love this 😂
Legend.
O melhor é o final hahahahahaha!!!
...obrigado.
Just. Fucking. Amazing.
Awesome song. Love this band.
They just keep getting better.

I was there and yes he's a demom.
fantastic live version
Vocal God! 👊
Who are the paintywaists that gave this a thumbs down?? An unhinged Patton performance is never anything but amazing.
@RatSitnov It's the best version ever of it. I have that whole concert on DVD and this was the stand out track.
I was in the middle of that crowd.
Best concert of my life.
He is the fuc*ing BOSS!!!
Bestial
I fucking love the insanity of this song, the guitar, the creepy circus keys, mike patton losing his shit vocally
TRIBAL DRUMS OF CHAOTIC ENERGY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just incredible
BRUTAL🤘🤘🤘🤘
Out of mind
Now,that's a band.
The best
2:47 outrageous. People are consternated.

Thanks Faith no more! 😍
King for a day is their best
Honestly....Fucking A , man. Blows me away every time.
Brutal. FNM es real!! Son responsables de una evolución en el metal
this is amazing why have i never heard this one He should go nuts on stage with Serj Tankian
Solitary Man Serj would just stand there lifeless like he always does these days and singing out of tune.
0:57 lo amo
So good i die
Holy shit wooo
It is!
Ok they should have put some distortion on the screams in the studio version cause the radio vocals here are brutal
"BEING GOOD, IT GETS YOU, STUFF! Brigado." 😂
Cuckoo wasn't on AD though
0:47 Victreebel's scream
At some point Satan just takes control of Mike's body
I believe that too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
brigado !!!
WOW
How does he have any vocal chords left after this!
Fucking awesome by the way 😂❤
