they all look like high school teachers showing everyone at the talent show how it's done
There really is no performer quite like Mike Patton. Absolutely off the rails.
What does it mean to be 'off the rails'? Maybe that Mike is so shagging great!:))) I think he is a wonderful performer.....plain amazing!:)
It's a way of saying he's crazy or insane... in a good way! I think he's awesome but he's clearly mad haha
Sami K
Thaaaaaaanks for the help!!!!:)))) Guess Mike is a really unique performer! There is noone quite like him:) Damn talented!:)
Metal Armada Tell that to the company that recorded this. 90% of the footage is of Patton. I hate that.
It takes some fucking serious balls to open up with a 70's soul ballad in front of thousands of Metal Heads! Best. Band. EVER!
Definitely NOT the best band ever. Maybe they are "in your opinion," but there's no way to choose the best band ever. They were ok. (In my opinion- which counts for shit)
be aggressive is the only reason I know how to spell aggressive
I watch this video quite often and I've only just seem what is clearly the best FNM comment ever.
The most underrated and unappreciated band ever
@@antiochiaadtaurum3786 If the aliens come to me and say "take me to your leader", I'm showing them a TH-cam video of Mike Patton..lol
And that's really not hyperbolic.
These guys should be accepting their place at the hall of fame.
Mike Bordin is one of the most underrated drummers around - he was on FIRE that night, but having said that the whole band were
I don’t think he’s underrated at all people that know know everyone in FNM is at the top of their game
@@troyworden9428
sounds like patton is having some trouble currently, but they were on fire back at that pinkpop show
Mike Patton! What a voice. Melt a women's heart and then sing metal or anything! One of the greatest singers of all time!
Mike Patton needs to be recognized worldwide as one of the best, if not the best ever. He's in the same conversation as Freddie Mercury, Elvis, Prince etc. No one has, can or ever will do what he's done...
It's also fucking amazing that after 30 plus years and literally thousands of songs in dozens of different bands that he always remembers the lyrics. No matter what band he's in, even Monde Cane he remembers all the words.
If I ever meet Mike Patton I'm going to salute him and call him General Patton. Because if music needs a leader, it's him.
HOLY FUUUUCK they nailed this performance.
Patton was insane good.
jimmybamslam agreed. Even more amazing is this was there first real big show after getting back together.
don't ever delete this
This show really does deserve to be put out on dvd/bluray.
I would purchase the shit out of it.
I'd waited 15 years to see these guys and was at this! was amazing! would love to see it on DVD!! :D
A band that uses keyboards and samples lack synths?
I'd look up the word "Synthesiser".
To this day I don't know how Mike Patton is still able to fucking belt out the ridiculous vocalizations he does after so many years. This man has vocal chords of steel.
Ferdie Humphreys are you familiar with his work work Zorn and the Moonchild project?
I will bet you he is on top of his health unlike 99% of alcohol and drug dependant vocalists in rock. Its a mythos he escaped because he is smart.
@@MiguelBaptista1981 he's actually out of shape now but his vocals are still great. According to him he doesn't even warm up his voice or do any specific routine regarding it. Must have taught himself great natural technique mixed with genetics.
@@joshuafult84
You're also right.
But no technique can save a voice abused by drug or alcohol.
So both conditions are true for him to maintain this longevity, and I praise his intelligence and professionalism, because honestly, it's very rare in rock world.
@@MiguelBaptista1981 True he isn't classically trained or taught how to sing he just taught himself. He does actually drink and occasionally smokes a cig but very rare with the smoking part. Totally agree honestly most rock/metal vocalist are burned out now vocally like corey taylor axl rose serj tankian etc Patton is the only one who barely lost any range.
2021 here and confirming once again that despite so many amazing bands FNM is THE band and Mike Patton is THE man........
What a band. Just fucking killer.
To think this was their second show of the reunion is insane. What a great show. I remember watching this stream live and almost crying from joy that my favorite band was back n better than ever.
I did both shows first one was So expensive. Didn't eat at download because of the Brixton warmup gig lol
"Land of Sunshine" - absolute MASTERPEACE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song should have deserved a music video though had Land been released as a single though, I can imagine it being violent, graphic and bloody.
This really is my favorite setlist of theirs... If only it included "Cowboy Song"
The best bass player in the world.💎
@@notabillyjoelfan yea i would say les claypool is the best in the world
@@unowhavethebiggay1430 Les is a great shout, that being said Billy is extremely underrated.
Mike Bordin is by far my favorite drummer to watch.
@@jauntyj3257 I’ll be damned it now stands out every time I listen to his songs after you mentioned that.
Mike Patton definitely feels the same (he spends a lot of his time on stage watching the drums) :)
I had the pleasure of working the marquee Club when that absolutely smashed two nights there. I thought the place would implode. I was working as a photographer for the Marquee Club for 6 months.
I would do anything to be watching this again live
Likewise. FNM blew my socks off and were the highlight of the weekend for me x
I can't believe this was ten years ago. Download 2009 was one hell of a weekend and Faith No More were definitely the biggest highlight for me.
I was there dude. Front row. You can actually see my stoopid face of joy when the camera pans round at some points. I can't believe it was ten years ago either. Definitely one of the best nights of my life.
I was at the front too, I realised right before they came out that I'd lost my phone and wallet though which was a major bummer but I didnt let it bring me down!
I was there front row, got pulled out involuntarily before the end then snuck backstage and had a bean bag thrown at my head by the room because I was kneeling on the floor trying to get my acid drenched mind back...they apologized and I think it was Mike that led the chorus of "Get up you lightweight cunt" or something similar.
Absolutely one of the best gigs I've been to full stop. Ps I'm the one swinging that ladybird umbrella about🙉🤘!!

Still, to this day, my favorite band of all time. Been listening to them since 1986, and have never tired of them.
Probably the best live performance I've ever attended, absolutely incredible from start to finish. As ever, not enough love for Jon Hudson in the comments, he effortlessly handles every era of the material, he's an excellent guitarist.
holy shit, this setlist, god I love this band, they got me through high school
It's damn near the perfect FNM set. There's a song here or there I wish was on it. But god damn, they represent the body of work so well and most of it are songs I would have picked to be on the list.
Fact: no band has ever been even close to topping this one. So diverse and beautiful.
Real Thing . Greatest track ever, performed by the best vocalist ever. Mike rules the world
I know people say stuff like this all the time about there favorite bands but when it comes to Faith No More it’s totally true. This is THE most underrated band on the MF planet!!!!
I always come back to this show. One of the all-time greats. The anticipation of the the opening "Reunited", and the absolute crescendo that is "The Real Thing"...it all has one message that roars over everything else in the set: "WE'RE BACK!" Momentous.
Mike Patton is by far.... the most underrated... underappreciated front man of all time...... only one album to chart the top 20, but literally hundreds of songs from multiple bands all legendary in their own right. you don't pull a crowd like this for being a "one hit wonder from the early 90's."
what a phenomenal show!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think so. He is exactly where he wants to be. He is super appreciated and very highly rated.
I love mike Bordins style. One of my favorite drummers.
8:47 bottom right hand corner, that blob of orange was my head when I had dreads and used a jagermister bandanna to hold it back! Being witness to this comeback was truly spiritual.. I could not be more honored to have been there and loved every second of their performance!
+Gregory Barber Do you know what the song after "Epic" was called? I really liked it, and i thought i knew everything by them.
Such a dynamic, unique band. Great show.
I am thoroughly convinced that this is the greatest concert of all time. Land of Sunshine is the high spot for me, but the whole thing is just awesome.
"The Real Thing" was the first song from FNM I ever listened to. Still gives me goosebumps.
xSteamPunk yeah Epic was mine too along with their cover of Easy that my parents played like crazy when I was a kid:)
Billy Gould gets ZERO respect for his bass playing. The dude is a BOSS.
Goose bumps every time I hear this version of The Real Thing. Wish they would have released Reunited as a cover song like they did Easy back in the day.
Never got to see F.N.M. in concert. That's why I'm so glad they filmed so many of the concerts. They put so much passion in their shows. LOVE THESE GUYS!!!
I didnt know who faith no more was until they got announced on the lineup and showed up to the main arena having listened to a bunch of songs ahead of the weekend but nothing prepared me for the sheer spectical that was this gig, it stands out at one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen in my life
Missed school to see this..was a epic spectacle excuse the pun 🤘
Awesome! Rare is a front man so dynamic. No doubt, one of the best ever! And the band is the same! Hard core thrash to Lady Ga Ga to Lionel Richie & pulling it everything in between off the hook! Amazing! Great post, great band, great show! Can't wait till the new one drops & they make the rounds again. Mandatory ...Must see!
Thanks to each & all!
patton fucks around with an audience to the point of insulting everybody, but at the same time delivers a top performance..thats fucking class!
This is a piece of historical art. Painted on all those peoples faces forever
Mike Patton or FNM is the only band that can get away with doing peaches and herb, Lionel Richie, and Lady gaga
Possibly the greatest download headline set ever 👌
FNM is one of so few bands that truly can't be defined simply. There's not a band out there I'd even remotely call similar. It's why I love them so much.
Best performance of "The Real thing" ever!
watching them go from Reunited to something like Cuckoo for Caca in one set is amazing
Mike Patton is just unreal.
His voice going from bass to falsetto... the dude is out of control!
Saw them on the Angel Dust tour and remember it as one of the most insane gigs ever. Great to see areunion where they are still on the top of their game. Just a one-off genius band.
Maybe the most unique original rock band ever!
All of a sudden I am 22 years old again dancing in a field with 70,000 people
So sing and rejoice, sing and rejoice.
The mighty FNM can still captivate an audience.
Man ! The Evidende is one of the best songs of Faith no More.
FNM is timeless and brilliant.
This was one of their best concerts ever. You can tell they're having fun and enjoying it.
Now THIS is a setlist
I would pay money for a cd of this performance!
Stripsearch is such an underrated song. The first time I heard it I had drank a bunch of cough syrup and smoked a bunch of pot.
The song made me feel like I was floating when I closed my eyes. It was such bliss.
Also Caffeine is one of the best rock songs ever written.
@@kimmyfreak200 He wrote some riffs I think that may be one of them, and def the lyrics too!
I love this gig, '"Evidence" speaks in 3 languages: English (obvious), spanish and finally portuguese.
Mike Patton makes you like poker face even if you don´t like lady gaga.
Came here to watch one song that was stuck in my head.. * watches whole show *
I was there. Only FNM could get away with that opening tune after years with no gigs
Epic performance. Great setlist with the absolute perfect opening song.
10 years passed... and I still beat myself for missing this show while living just 10 minutes from Download fest location!!! Every year which passes without their return whips the agony
10 years passed..and I still beat myself off to the hot chick in the 1st chorus of We Care A Lot... Talk about agony...
Damn Covid, Birmingham concert postponed year after year, wish I had gone to this one
I have felt that kind of painful regret before. I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone 😢
Mike's vocal rips are really awseome! Then he can sing Sunday morning without any issues!
Love it when Mike Patton covers a few lines of other peoples' songs.
God this band rocks so hard.
FNM Have got Balls of steel for how they performed this gig especially the opening track.
SO tight. This was their second reunion show!
'The Real Thing' is my all time favourite of theirs.
I remember waiting for the bus in 6th grade listening to the first album on my Walkman...
Kinda crazy how intune and connected the band is when none of them (maybe with the exception of bordin) are wearing in ears on a stage that fricken big! They sound so good
2019. Still keeping the Faith.
FNM were so ahead of the times from day 1! People need to embrace them now more than ever!
Without them we wouldn't have the almighty KoЯn. The guitarists from KoЯn inspired me to start playing guitar when I was a kid so I will always love them and their music!
I saw them this same year at a small concert venue. Mike Patton was just as crazy. It was awesome 😆
I love when he's singing and then all of a sudden goes nuts 🤣 It's like he's just up there giving a show for a few friends....
My first and last DL so far and FNM were on fire. They are one of my favouirte bands. I remember being at the barrier and moshing and falling down at one point. I was instantly lifted back to my feet. I feel honoured to have had the opportunity to watch Faith No More live and enjoyed their set. Keep rocking on. Mike Patton is unique and a legend 🤘
This is such an amazing concert. It's a shame it was never released on dvd!
Yes, it's a shame that it's not possible to view the official footage of it anywhere. WAIT A MINUTE...
Great under rated band. Have loved FNM since "Epic" first came out. Still listen to all their stuff to this day .
Brutal and beautiful, one of the top performances in rock history. Period.
...saw them live 1993 in Hamburg/ Elbwiesen and I'm still obsessed, Mike Patton is a great singer .Hope to listen to this great band in old people's home later !!! :))
They are always indescribable, but this one is one of their best performance, no doubt about it... Chinese Arithmetic absolutely amazing...
They should released a DVD of this show
I was going to make a blu-ray but this videos quality isn't up to it. Wish I could find a better copy.
Fuck man it's been 10 years since this gig. I feel fuckin old where's the time gone.🤘
This was a great show man. I was there near the front. Was meant to be seeing these guys tonight in Manchester but it's been cancelled. Absolutely gutted.
One of the best shows I saw, Mike Patton is a Goat, Mike Bordin a monster in drums and Billy Gould is an amazing bassist, all band is One of the best, thanks for sharing this jewel!!!!

I forgot how great a song Mark Bowen is. Song gives me chills remembering when I first heard it on cassette. I freaking love and miss Chuck Mosley. However, I hope people truly appreciate what Mike Patton did with the song and sent me into outer space with the vocals along with the harmonies. Fucking genius.
great song yes.. listen to the version of the concert at Phoenix 93 with Jim M. on guitar..boy the way he could play it (and all other songs to) still give me chills and goosebumps all over! For me personaly the best concert ever
Bands get old and lose their intensity. Not Faith No More. They slaughtered this crowd like their lives depended on it.
I know of very few bands who can still rock it in their 40s and 50s. Rock on!
probably the best FNM concert that was professionally recorded. We need someone to put this out in full HD1080P it's definitely out there just don't know who has the original source .
So glad i was able to see this live! One of if not the best band I've seen live.
Mike Fuckin Patton. What a fuckin beast.
It's not just the singing, it's the whole deal - the way he crouches, and holds and twists that mic, the hair and the red clothes; he's kind of what in Italy is a 'Burino'. haha... That song 'Ashes to Ashes', man that is beautiful!
Watched this on stream when it was on. Got me hooked on FNM.
I went to this with my friends in college. I’d waited to see FNM since I was 10. All of my college friends were big into Meshuggah and it just so happened that they were headlining the second stage at the same time. I said I’d meet them after and I stayed alone. Some random guy happened to be in a similar scenario, right next to me. So we danced the whole FNM set away together, singing every single word as loud as we could at each other. The set ended and he gave me a massive hug and we went our separate ways. Not a single word was exchanged. That was one of best interactions I’ve ever experienced and one of my happiest moments in life. I hope he remembers too and I hope it made the FNM experience as special for him as it did for me. Thankyou for this memory, random FNM guy! 🖤
Strategic decisions.
Switching stages. Alone.
That's what life's all about right there.
I don't think I could choose between Meshuggah and Faith No More. I love them both equally for totally different reasons
@@AndyDrew003 ditto
@@AndyDrew003 but I've seen Meshuggah like 3 times and never seen FNM...so there's that
I absolutely love this story. Thank you for sharing. I saw FNM in '90 at the FastLane in Asbury Park, NJ - right up against the stage. Been to hundreds of shows. Remember that one like yesterday. The energy was INSANE.
