Apple doesn't allow emulators into the App Store. Why? Nobody really knows because Google has permitted several into the Android Play Store. Up until recently, it was required of iPhone and iPad iOS users to jailbreak in order to run emulators but not anymore! I show how to run Super Nintendo, NES, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, PSP, Nintendo DS, GameBoy, MAME, and Sega Genesis games on your iPhone or iPad-all without a jailbreak!

The best emulator machine is a hacked 3DS. Bought a used one for $50 and hacked it. Now I have every NES,SNES,GEN,GB,GBA,TG16 game loaded on to it. Not to mention you get actual physical controls which is way better than touchscreen.

I hacked a 2DS, 3DS original and 3DS XL using it. Very easy process. The only hardware you need is a SD card reader.
Just make sure the firmware is NOT 11.0 or higher. It will only work for older firmwares. So don't buy a brand new 3DS from a store. Gotta buy used. Make sure it isn't updated.

Concerning security: is there a risk? Sure, installing any software outside of Apple's sanctioned parameters is a risk. That said, the Chinese team behind GamePad has been developing the app for years and is well-respected/trusted in the emulation community. Now of course, to install this app, you proceed at your own risk but I wouldn't freak out too much. If you still have concerns: don't download it. Easy. :)
+Snazzy Labs but installing an enterprise profile gives to mojo the power to do whatever they want with your device, doesn't it? Sure they won't but what if they were hacked they could push you out of iCloud mess with your settings, possibly even get some data? I have an android phone but I would never trust a newly released app on play store or even installing anything outside it.
+gentuxable There is always a calculated risk by installing non-App Store apps. If this isn't your cup of tea, I would research RetroArch-it's the platform that GamePad is built on. You can install it using a computer and Xcode without allowing any further permissions. It's a foolproof safe method, albeit less convenient.

There are other ways. Just search for snes9. A free emulator. Super Nintendo Roms are all online to be downloaded. Don't waste too much time for such easy thing. This guy gives you the hard way

I agree. I might try this on a separate device where i dont have any icloud or other personal information. But this is for sure not safe. You have to be really naive to think that this access to your device is not going to be leaked to any unwanted source.

Downloading copyrighted software from elsewhere is illegal. However, "nothing is illegal if you don't get caught," and how would anyone know you didn't make your own backup?

+Vegan Braun some people may need to set there date back to either March or may 11th 2012 because some downloads will need your phone to be set to early Dates to access iOS 8.0.3. So they can download In the time they were made I got this tip and it screwed up my phone and I had to do hours of research and I felt like crap because it was just a small problem no I couldn't delete mojo at all for a few days with that research that helped me and I couldn't use TH-cam, Safari, Pokémon Go, pretty much any thing that uses Internet connection so that's what happened with the date and all that stuff, just trying to help people 😀

You can't. Games are in the language you download them in. If you want English games you have to sideload via iTunes as mentioned in the video. Go Utes!

If I want to play emulation I use my 3ds and Wii u to bad you can't get n64 and Sega Genesis and turbo graphics 16 (it's not a personal computer) games on the 3ds and the Genesis and turbo games only work with the classic controller not the pro controller

It's the same reason you see less viruses on OSX, its not because its less susceptible to viruses but because most malicious coders don't care about attacking such a tiny percent of the machines out there.
Oh and the iOS interface is archaic as fuck compared to a modern Android interface. Apple assuming that their users aren't intelligent enough to figure out more than a single button is just asinine user interface design.

You still can't even do basic things like play a FLAC file or easily copy music or files from any computer. iOS just like every other Mac product forces you into a very closed ecosystem that in the end does nothing but limit the capabilities of the device.
+beanwithbacon you also got a whole handful of malware right within the Google store. Another method is to use Xcode to side load legal emulators. Also while flac is not supported by iTunes it is supported by other music apps in the App Store.

I also have this issue. I can see my iTunes is a newer version than the one shown in the video, so maybe apple blocked file sharing for this app. I would really appreciate a workaround.
Unreal. One of the stupidest possible things you could do, security-wise. Reading through the comments, it feels like watching a bunch of people intentionally drive off a cliff together. No awareness or critical thinking with far too many here.
Again: if you actually get fooled into trusting this "Chinese team behind GamePad", and doing this, you are cognitively broken and deserve what happens afterward (and rest assured that there *will* be a something, something bad, even if you don't know it).
I've been using it for months, nothing has happened. Mojo is trusted.
I can only imagine what these Chinese devs are fishing for. Installing an enterprise profile gives them a lot of control over your device. Not sure if recent versions of iOS allows this but in the past, they could replace existing apps to fool you into entering passwords. Even outside of that, these un-trusted profiles can do a lot of damage.
Just because it seems to work doesn't mean it's not undermining your security and privacy. They are supposed to be hidden by design.
The only foolproof way to install an emulator is to compile and install it yourself from (open) source but you'll need a Mac and it's non-trivial. I'm sure there are guides out there though.
dvessel Hmm...one of the very few voices of reason and intelligence I see. I'd forgotten about this (and in fact it was the reason I unsubbed from this irresponsible POS that posted this vid).
Frankly though, I don't try to "save" or advise anyone about this kind of thing anymore. I've been in IT InfoSec for over 15 years, and honestly this kind of transparent, juvenile, completely retarded social engineering hack would have been laughed off in years past, even by our most "naive" users. It just wouldn't work...they wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for it. Something has happened to this generation, something genuinely broken in their thinking processes, something that can't be reached or fixed. To think of how easily they can be fooled into giving away their devices and info to hackers like this...it's appalling. And for what? To play some old games ffs? As if there was a shortage of games out there to begin with?
That aside, you're right about the possible "solution" although with non-jailbreaked IOS restrictions, I don't see how you'd even get the compiled emulator onto your iphone without a paid dev account. Unless you're willing to renew a temp certificate, and re-compile and upload, every week or something (whatever Apple has it set to now). Besides, it doesn't matter. I doubt most of the stomach-turning fools who would fall for this to begin with would even know how to spell "compile", let alone actually try to do it.

I have tried this a few times, the directions are easy enough to follow, but I get an unable to download message every time. I have plenty of space on the device, it just say could not be installed at this time for whatever reason.

But as with any enterprise app after 7 days you need to get a developer code and get it resigned which never happens. That’s why I prefer using website emulators you save to your home screen via safari so it’s just a website you have a shortcut to and it can’t get revoked
