Soooo...I have a few thoughts and I will try to keep it balanced and objective :-). With that being said here are my thoughts: (TH-cam should allow video comments because that would be a lot quicker!) Pros: I like the idea of a random drum pattern generator! Sometimes i'll have a dope melody line that i record in Logic and I may just wanna hear what different drum patterns would sound like with it. Having a vst where i can just hit the next arrow for a new pattern would be quicker than importing a new audio or midi loop in Logic each time. I also like the ability to drag in your own samples (this was the first thing I looked for when i first heard about it) Cons: I think the drum machine designer in Logic gives you a lot more control and flexibility. It generates random drum patterns but if you use arrangement markers, it will give you a different pattern for each section of the song AND you can customize each pattern and then convert to MIDI and mix in your mixer like any other audio or instrument track. I don't like you gotta sign up for a waiting list I don't like that the price is not easily viewed on the website. Neutral: I understand the pricing strategy they are using to create impulse buys but everyone knows it's a digital product and it's very unlikely that they limit the licenses if they even sell as many as projected. I think this strategy would work better with a physical product, an album, or an event like a webinar Overall I'm curious to try it out but if they continue this "limited license" approach and don't have a free trial, I will not be trying this out.
I can see how it can be used for quick ideas but i fail to see how it can used intuitively as an everyday production tool though. Appreciate the feedback though!
Old vid but I'm not a Unison fan. They claim that these plugins come up with great results 97% of the time but if thats the case then why are they never seen used together? Why dont Unison or there payed promoters load up Cord Wizard, Drum Monkey, Bass Dragon and Sound doctor at the same time? If Unison are to be believed then all you got to do to get a hit record is press 4 buttons lol.
I love your channel ❤️.
💯
From what you said I agree…..” Why on earth would I buy this?” 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏾♂️😆😆😆
To randomize your drums..... haha
Im willing to bet that 3500 licences is just a marketing gimmick. No one would actually put a limit on the sale of as digital product.
Agreed.
