  • Rockhounding Hunting Agates at the source, B.C
We went camping at the same spot as my last video. We found great seam agates as well as an intact seam on the roadside! Please consider subscribing if you enjoyed the video!

Can't hear you but awesome video, at the risk of a silly question what kind of agates are these?

Hey yeah I didn’t double check the volume before uploading, I put captions though. It’s pretty much all Seam Agate formed within Andesite or Basalt

That was a giant puffball, totally edible. You were correct. there are no poisonous look-alikes with those, so you dont have to worry about dying after you eat one lol. Nice seam agates, very cool footage!

So is the agate the white stuff? Or is that calcite? I found lots with white all over them. Just assumed they’re calcite?

Wow these are truely stunning I always find tumbled ones like this on the shores of White Rock in Surrey and never knew the actual source of them but maybe this area has something to do with them . Great video fantastic filming :)

4:39 Great shot of the shear zone directions.
Lol that deer seems unhappy about your presence!

Thanks! Yeah I haven’t seen one behave like that before, I was thinking it could be a juvenile.

I think that's a Mama that has a baby somewhere close. In our town of Jacksonville Oregon there are a lot of deer in the town and two peoplein the last week that were just walking their dogs down the sidewalk were attacked and one lady had to go to the hospital. They were definitely protecting their fawns.

@@Lisa.Sparkman Thaaaaat makes perfect sense! I was stuck on rutting season, but that can't be. Plus yeah, she looks like a mom, not a potential dad... Thanks Lisa!

I’ve been finding a whole bunch of those vein agates, I used to call them “lightning bolts” as a kid because often they were shaped like lightning, and as an adult today I still say lightning bolt.

Beautiful video as always ❤️. I do have a hard time hearing you though. Your scenery looks just like home here.
