Now the S360DB sounds like it is supposed to! The bass is deeper/clearer with the S360db, but the treble seems to be better in the other combo. I still prefer the mids from S360DB tough
@@thirakornsuriyabutjrgensen9348 the 1010 is way more linear making it easier to integrate with the speakers, it doesnt have stupid problems like automatically turning off at lower volumes like the T5, it doesnt have make mechanical noises like woofer rubbing at higher volumes like the T5. The T5 is rubbish. You are in thailand? Its known as the Sub1020 and is sold for 7900 baht, sometimes cheaper from lazada.

Not "bassier" but more wet and wobbely, the Sub of the S360 is dry, to the point and just kicks, when supposed to. The T5 sounds just mushy and overpronounced, maybe its an issue with the crossover or a general T5 Problem, i dont know, but i like the 360sub much better.

Superb quality speakers for their size, they can fill any room with no effort, very good dynamic drivers clear sounding good separation controlled bass rich mids forward presentation. Would not recommend as desk lissening only at least 2 meters away from them. Im quite an audiophile and my taste is in warmer sounding speakers, slightly cut top end, etc. I can recommend s360db in spacey rooms with space for them to breath, for desk use and warmer less fatigue presentation 1700bt is superb, almost the same separation and clarity for half the price.

I can only recommend them for spacey rooms where they have room to breath and lissen at least 2 meters away like using them near TV, they can fill a room with 0 effort. For desk usage or a more laid back, warmer presentation but with almost the same clarity, instrum. separation and dynamic i recommend 1700bt at half the price, they are amazing too. Its all a matter of tastes.
Keep in mind that Edifier S series are better speakers than R series. So even if you can adjust the crossover in this combo R speakers may not sound good as S350/360db as satellites there are more premium/refined and have electronic parts and drivers and cabinets of higher quality. And are tuned as best as they could do it. Some mids are probably sacrificed i.e. not ideal in s350/360db, but they are veeery well integrated. If you are listening like you are supposed to, from distance with woofer between the satellites and NOT satellites on table in front of you and sub below the table near legs, these speakers sound GREAT.

Hi guys, I need help. I have visited several sound stores and asked about the Edififer R2850. I have been told that Edifier in general does not provide good sound and this has come to my attention because of the very good comments I have heard on this channel. In my country, Argentina, there is not a single store that has Edifier equipment, except for the official store which, unfortunately, does not have a showroom and they only sell their products online. In other words, I would have to buy it without having heard it. Could you help me decide? Do you think I should "risk" buying it? I have been told that Edifier is not hifi and provides sound far below any hifi stereo system. Is that true? Does this Edififer model worth it? Are there maybe some better options for the same price? edifier speakers are really good both in terms of sound and build quality and theyre really easy to setup, thats the thing i like about edifier, theyre aimed at normal customers while providing superb sound quality
If Logitech on the other hand is regarded as high quality in your country, well, edifier is well over that, people love to just talk even when they have no experience whatsoever. When i got my edifiers r1280t, i thought those were the best 100 euros i've spent in my entire life, it's how pleased i was with them. I upgraded to a different category eventually, got myself a pair of microlab solo 6c, but i didn't let the r1280t go away, they're in my living room, hooked up with my tv and they still rock after 7 years of daily use. I still believe those are the best 100 euros i've spent in my life.

@@lupuradu tbh true, edifier was, is and will always be on top of logitech, most of logitech speakers are bought by people who have no idea how speakers work and think boomy bass is good, the bass on logitech speakers is really mid, not good but also not the worst, its loud but very boomy (which sounds good on some genres of music but not all), the driver quality is really good but their amps suck and thats the only thing that holds logitech speakers back, thats why i like edifier more, their drivers are top quality, their amps are actually built well and dont blow themselves, they can go lower than 40-45hz (which is what some logitech subwoofers high pass filter is set), and they sound really nice
I think you did it wrong with the T5. Because when pairing a stand alone pair of bookshelf speakers with a subwoofer, you need to adjust the crossover frequency control of the subwoofer so that it wont play overlapping with the mid-bass, high-bass and maybe also low-mid frequency of the bookshelf speakers. I own a T5 to pair with my Audioengine A2+, they work fine together, but I need to adjust T5 crossover to only 15% and its volume to be 70%. You will find your own setting with other bookshelf and your taste too. It will sure not playing well if you set all control to neutral when pairing T7 with R1700BT. The Edifier T5 pairing with other 2 satelite speakers will work fine because they are tuned properly already. I got Edifier M1370 for ... about 10$ (shop discount, not B-Stock), I used it for my Korg keyboard in exercise sessions. It sounds good and works well since years now! In other words: I was surprised and found Edifier "not bad", if not excellent! Now I consider but hesitate between Edifier S360DB and Adam Audio T7V (nearly same price, Adam sounds to have more notority while T7V is slightly cheaper than S360DB at my place, T7V because of occasional mixing/recording). Can anyone share thought/experience or advice? Many thanks!
It's not, i have r1700bts and when using subout the low range in two speakers cutoff and it only play mid range and high range. So, it's don't play bass when connecting subout.

Get the best edifier speaker that has a sub out you can afford and plug the T5 in. It is way better than the 360 will ever be. Reason is this, you can control crossover with the speaker/T5 combo, you cant with the 350/351/360. You can also adjust bass separately on the speaker and sub but you cant with the 350/351/360. It is also vital to get an edifier speaker with a sub out and not use a Y splitter and all that because edifiers speakers with a sub out have a high pass filter and stops playing lower frequencies that the sub is already playing. Without this high pass filter, your speakers will continue to play frequencies that your sub is playing and make things sound muddy.

Got the speakers, they sound nice. Used the optical cable since PC has the output. Tweaked treble a bit lower, sounds balanced compared to old logitech Z533.

these standalone subs should have phase switch right? so it can be corrected, majority have switch 0° / 180° but i heard that some have knob for that so its more precise if it is that you are talking about, i have no experience with standalone subs

Well, buying a separate R1700BTs and a T5 sub is much more expensive in my country, there is a 150 USD price difference at least. In fact there is no R1700BTs model here yet so we have to buy R1850DB instead which is even 100 USD more then the R1700BTs, S360DB on the other hand, costs half the price...And there is no huge difference in the sound quality either.

I think you did it wrong with the T5. for me s360DB is more stable and sound is controlled, R1700BTs i hear air coming out but it almost the same sound
both of those setups are like around 300-400 dollars. im not rich so i went for the 1700bt without a sub.
It feels like r1700+t5 combo has a lag in bass somewhere , the bass feels delayed with is destroying the scene.

these standalone subs should have phase switch right? so it can be corrected, majority have switch 0° / 180° but i heard that some have knob for that so its more precise

@@wbishop I have exactly the same subwoofer. It has a phase changeover of 0 and 180, with the help of it you can set the correct phasing
Well, buying a separate R1700BTs and a T5 sub is much more expensive in my country, there is a 150 USD price difference at least. In fact there is no R1700BTs model here yet so we have to buy R1850DB instead which is even 100 USD more then the R1700BTs, S360DB on the other hand, costs half the price...And there is no huge difference in the sound quality either.
After writing that comment I checked out the T5 price and yes it also does not exist here, fck my life :D

Co polecasz w takim razie w podobnym budżecie?
Głośniki o podobnej wielkości bo szukam czegoś do kompa żeby miało to brzmienie jeśli oczywiście da się coś wyciągnąć z tego typu wielkości głośników. Z góry dzięki 😊
i would love to compare this T5 with Velodyne 10 inches Sub on this channel :) that would be super good... because Velodyne is cheaper as well as 2 inches more & it sounds amazing but i haven't heard T5 to be honest...
