Perfectly running with the PSN workaround (didn't try other formats but they'll work for sure). I have to say that I'm against any kind of piracy but I never played the God Of War saga. Just bought the God Of War 3 remaster for PS4 and the God Of War (2018) for PS4 in order to play them on my PS5. Checked that there's no PS4 version of God Of War and God Of War 2 but I was (and am) decided to buy them on PlayStation Store but is not possible because they only can be downloaded with Plus Suscription that I don't want and even with that they're only playable in a PS3 that I don't currently own. So, as a summary, Sony forced me to emulate them in order to play the full saga and to know its story. If Sony releases a remaster playable on PS4/PS5 I'll purchase them as was always my intention. it actually is. you dont understand how complicated the ps3 was even to this day. unlike the ps4 to ps5 or ps1 to ps2, the ps3 wasnt just an upgrade, it was a complete revamp. developers had trouble developing on it its whole life span
If you’re like me and had an issue with the games not showing up in Emulation Station, make sure when you create your new folder to put the iso files in, add .ps3 to the end, this will fix the problem. (For example, he did Skate 3, you would rename to Skate 3.ps3)

There aren't very many videos about Vita games on the Steam Deck, they don't show any set up, just that a handful of games are playable and most aren't.

Games are not on SSD. The ssd is just for transferring the game from computer to steam deck. Games are stored on steam deck SD card. You can get PS3 games by searching google. An actual ps3 is not required.

Ok, so I opened the .iso, and I have a tone of files and folders show up. I tried moving them to a folder with the game name, but they still don't show up in steam rom manager. Also when I open the iso, it opens using the extractor application, is that the issue? Thanks for any help.

Games I play that run really good on RPCS3 on the deck are Doom 3 BFG Edition Bioshock 2 and Silent Hill Collection I'm hoping one day they can get a really playable version of MGS4 Guns Of The Patriots working on it

For some reason the app just won't open for me to install the update.....what happened? I had it up there once and deleted it because it didn't open my games. Figured out it was my own fault so I downloaded it again and now it won't open.
If you updated your steam os during last 2 days the new steam messed up the emulator. I am working on to upload a new video for this fix. Everyone has same issues right now. Rpcs3 can’t be open with new steam os.

maybe you should try again. uninstall first from Emudeck then install and click reset configuration. thats how i fixed mine after the new steam os update.
Excellent tutorial, informative and straight to the point. EmuDeck does not detect my SD card, it's detected on desktop mode, but I did notice when I'm in game mode , it's not detected but i can play non steam games off of the SD card. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
@@ED4T Thenks , I just tried and installed emudeck and my sd card is still not detected. I tried to choose custom location, chose my SD card and got non writable directory selected, please choose another. My SD card is formatted in exFat so I can put it on my Pc and copy files over.

Hell my i7-7700HQ struggles with Jak and Daxter 1, the Steam Deck is more powerful than my gaming laptop HAHAHA!

Thank you. I think that’s a system glitch. Try turn off deck then remove the sd card and put it back in and power on the deck.

this is the fix very easy, just go to your Emudeck- manage emulator- RPCS3- uninstall it - then install again. now RPCS3 can be opened from desktop mode and PS3 games are running from Gaming mode.

@@ED4T Yes, followed all the steps, reason for error says invalid file or folder
Use 7ZIP software instead of Windows Explorer to view and copy the contents of iso files. that will solve the problems.

Great video work straight away for me but just one question, everytime I boot up a ps3 the fans in my steam deck goes nuts even if it’s a small title like plants vs zombies 2, is this normal?
I think that is just normal. PS3 emulation is pretty hard to run even on high end gaming PC.
What format should the SD card be? One that can be read by Windows and Linux/Steam deck?

Reason : Invalid or folder
What should I do ??
