Tewa Tales of Suspense: Who Are Our Community Heroes?

This video, produced for the New Mexico State Library, features an interview with Santa Clara artist Jason Garcia as well as interviews with three pueblo tribal elders, in support of the National Collaborative Summer Library Program.

my community hero ..was my grandmother..she loved everyone and had integrity..even though her life was hard..she always tried to make others feel secure.. always consciouslty went the extra mile to help others..she wasnt a " yes" person..looking for approval..she was my sunshine and she is not in this world anymore..but I carry her words and love with me.
