probably C key is easier to understand notation.
Oh wow. Same!! Everything other than D is really high pitched "for me". F is actually nice too, it is high but got that low mellow sound to it.

each type bamboo is good. but it depends on maker bamboo choose. not every bamboo is good to make high quality dizi.

I see that everyone buys the Dizi D key for wuji, but I want to play (besides wuji) Wangxian and Nameless song(And others but the sound is similar between them)

D key is very easy to play Wuji(same as original music key). if you master that finger chart. you may choose other key to play Wuji and other song. similar key is C key.
if you want to play most type Chinese music. suggest to prepare one set dizis(include C.D.E.F.G key)
Aaaah it swould have been great to see the pictures of the flutes lying next to each other so that its possible to see their sizes, and distance between finger holes. I have D, but my hands are quite small and I struggle to play with fingertips of my right hand, so I play with the flats of the fingers. I wanted to see if E key finger holes are closer together

Wow lots of questions, I have never played anything until last year. No teacher, the only book I could find is badly translated ! It doesn't explain how to play all the notes , the effect of membrane tension and my Dizi had a small amount of bamboo not removed from the inside when it was drilled.
The result was incredibly difficult to make any note.
I still think holes 4,5& 6 are not correct. It was extremely cheap but now I know I can play I would like a book or collection of books to improve my playing.

I would like to present the poem to my Shifu, speak in Chinese and hopefully play "the plum tree".
I have my heart set on a brass Dizi in "D" that is also a staff,sword and a spear. Now imagine me in my white Tai chi Fu , on the beach at sunrise reading Chinese then playing the Dizi. I think this would please my Shifu very much ☯️🙏
