i also use volleyball kneepads on the ice!!! taking the soakers off when you get home and letting the blades air dry is a good idea i'm gonna start doing that too
By the way I want to clear some of what she said up (this is what I do btw it’s different for everyone). I put my soakers on right after getting off the ice, then when I get home I take them off and let my blades air dry (like she does) and turn my soakers inside out to dry. BUT after those few hours, once I’ve dried my skates, soakers and microfiber towel, I put my soakers on. That’s what I do, though. :)
i really need guards, soakers and knee pads. also tissues. i also agree about the skates thing, rentals are usually hell and last time i skated with rentals my feet would constantly go in and it would hurt soo bad but now i have my own skates and its much better 😅
Could you recommend where did you get your skates fitted/sharped in the Atlanta's area? There are many spots but most of the reviews are just about the rink and not the pro shop itself. (I'm a beginner looking at getting a Jackson's Freestyle but want to get mine properly fitted and have expert that I can go to)
No shame in knee pads, I have been skating for 3 years now and I still wear them. I found some nice gel knee pads that aren't really noticeable and I can wear them under my clothes but still do the trick
I’m thirteen and I’m a beginner figure skater I don’t know if I should buy skates because my feet are still growing and I don’t want to grow out of my skates because they are very expensive but I heard that it is harder to do some things with rental skates can someone please give me advice I don’t know what to do
Usually your feet will start to stop to grow,(mine stopped around 13) if you’re really into figure skating then go for it! Get the skates, but you might want to buy a half size bigger AT THE MOST.
@@sdggsvgsgcfdd4388ik this is a late reply, but get ur own skates! for ur age, i’d say its ideal to get them right now and they will be much better than rentals!
stop i keep sniffing during my classes and i somehow never thought of bringing tissues 💀
