Just stumbled upon your channel and binge watched the Brompton episodes. Great content. After a lifetime of cycling, competitively to national level when younger and since then purely for fun, I can honestly say that the Brompton is my all time favourite bike. Whenever anyone mentions the cost of the Brompton I always inform them that my full carbon MTB cost over 4x the Brompton but gets a fraction of the use and functionality. I really don't understand how any cyclist cant have one in their stable. Great videos by the way. I've had the same saddle for a few years and still good as new.
It looks incredible the saddle brooks on the Brompton. I am looking forward to buy one when I visited England. In Mexico I remember saw saddles like the Brooks but its not common now to see them. Thank you so much to show this beautiful place of England. I will be waiting for the next video.
I love the Brooks B17, on my touring bike, on my Brompton, not so much, the main reason is that I tend to use it for short distances, so even though the saddle has hundreds of miles on another bike and is broken in on the Brompton it never gets up to body temperature so on short rides to the station it's hard and uncomfortable (not a problem on longer rides) the 2nd reason is weight, 100g extra to carry around the tube is noticeable (I have superlight to make carrying easier)
Mmm having just brought my electric P line I am wondering about whether to change my saddle for more comfort. However at 67 I do consider the weight for lifting rather than riding fast which I don't. I am a little confused when people with Brompton's complain about costs..... When you pay £4000 plus for a quality Brompton like mine, why would you not opt for quality rather than settle for cheap accessories!
Great channel name. You could be a Brooks sales rep. Brooks saddles seem to be a bit like Marmite to me, people either love or hate them. I have not had one ever. I am fairly ambivalent about them. The only thing I really know about them is their high cost and distinctive appearance. I have found the saddle that I feel comfortable on which is a Madison Flux £21. I think they are now discontinued but I bought a few. With Brooks saddles, do you know if you can you get them with different widths to suit your sit bone dimensions as we are all different? Shall watch your New Forest video as have never been cycling there despite wanting to.
WORTH IT? Define worth it?? I have had bikes in my life and 2 Brommies since the mid 1990s and tried a Brooks saddle one, HARD AS HELL!!! Went back to my regular Brompton saddle, and never looked back at the pack…pardon the pun, but I am quick on my bikes! Great marketing ploy, but overpriced in some countries in Europe. Interesting video BTW!
Quiet right, I will try to change that bad habit. Afraid the next couple of videos will be the same though ad they were recorded at the same time. Hope you can overlook that.

thanks for the comment. I think they do different sizes for each model. Think through their website.

Do you mind sharing where you found your carry handle?
The latest video coming out tomorrow should answer that. Thanks
Very good but just one point - it's brought not bought 😊
