Damn, this 13 year-old video just made my day. I used to play (trumpet) and sing it with my old band. Bria Skonberg kills it once more. Thanks for posting this. The whole band cooks the hell out of in the last few choruses.
Each time I listen to this (I listen to it often) I am completely overwhelmed, I can't believe that this super talented group of musicians gave me such a beautiful gift. Thank you so much,,,I love all of you, A special thanks to my Nephew Hal,,,
Super great swing! Terrific clarinet duet! Rhythm section so perfect, the excitement is so delightful I don't want it to end. This is why people by the millions fell in love with jazz, all over the world. Bria is as satisfying as early Armstrong.
Denis May “too old to swing?!” Never heard that said. Ageists, I suppose. I’d be more worried about folks that are “too young (read inexperienced) to know how.”
Watching and listening again,,,As I have already said, this touches me so deeply, and each time I hear it, it feels like the first time..overwhelming! I did forget to thank Kim Cusack for his great job on the vocal,,,and I am a huge fan of him as a clarinetist,,,I just plain love the whole band!!,,Bria, you are an amazing musician, and thank you so much for your part in this dedication,,,
Drummer is somewhere between Gene Krupa and Ray Bauduc, in style. But the sensation of the performance is this bass man, Ryan Gould. Sounds as if Pops Foster, Steve Brown, and Bob Haggart were still alive. This guy could make a stone swing.
The biggest difference in musical quality between modern dixieland outfits and the original oldtimers of long ago is the rhythm, in most cases. But these guys and girls here really swing. Most bands with Katie Cavera on guitar do - but bass and drums are at least her equals: a fantastic rhythm group. Must hear that bass solo again.
Back here again. Have watched Ms Skonberg's embouchure more closely. Got the idea that it would be fine if all girls were obliged to study some trumpet. Obviously develops their kiss-muscles.

Kim Cusack is living proof that one is never too old to Swing. Great Band in so many ways.

GREAT!
Great stuff.
I'm not sure how or why the algorithm sent me here, but glad it did.
Standing ovation from Denmark. I have heard this tune so many times by Chet and Mark, but this swing/jazz version is just amazing. Thanks :-)
This is the best version of this song EVER!
I never cared for this song - until i heard the old jazz versions.
This was kind o fa staple for music/comedy shows of a formative years.
I love it keep it up

Great band. I can't help but grin when the bassist has to keep pulling his sleeve up.
A great rendition!
Dinah Washington's version, though, is still my fave!
