From my perspective (a marketing perspective) I love the idea. It's a whole new massive world of possibilities for advertisers to branch out into. Plus it has created a new market which means wealth to many more. No idea what half the content is about but I am excited about the marketing aspect of this.
As for you video: I would have liked a bit more "sparkle and pop" instead of a simple breakdown, I'm sure it's a hell of a lot more interesting than simply being a new sport. Keep it up!

It does not mean wealth to many more, it may mean wealth to many others. Goods and services that are the benchmark for wealth must be created for wealth to increase. Otherwise we speak simply of a shift of wealth from a group or person to another.

Thank you for the time you are taking to explain esports to people like me, I am not a gamer, never have been a gamer as gaining did not become popular until I was in my 20s however my children became gamers and now I am being asked to teach students about esports and launch a Eastport club in our afterschool program. I knew what esports was but wanted to see a video going deep in detail about this phenomenon. I played games as a kid and then again in my 20s but did it as a past time. Tho with my friends we used to get competitive, kinda hard not to, but we never thought it’d get to be on the world stage. I’m glad that kids have taken games that far, to be able to make money playing games was something none of us ever dreamed of. Kudos

I... still don't get it. Like, what is the appeal? Why is this such a big deal? Like, as far as I can tell, none of those gameplays in the video scream: "Woah, this is amazing!"
well some sports are harder to understand than others. like everyone understands soccer or cricket etc. then there are more complex games like chess, or F1 etc which only those who know the sport can recognize. for example there might be a legendary play of the century or some crazy genius F1 strat that would leave the audience in awe. but a normal person who dosent know the sport will simply see it as a piece movement or a tyre change. those who know these complex sports can appreciate whats happening in there

eSports like Dota 2 , LoL and StarCraft are hard to view at a pro level if you dont play the game frequently. That play at 1:33 would be extremely impressive if you know what was going on, the Faker escape :D

Here in south asia, kids and adults taking these specially pubg very seriously. They're considering it as a career. And idolising those so called "pros". Even children as younger as 11 became toxic, short tempered and disrespectful. Becomint depressed when they lose. I mean c'mon, wtf is wrong with this generation!

My grandpa thinks esports means video games based on real life sports and he talked so much sh*t about it one day when I'm pretty sure he just heard the word for the first time that day and came up with his own definition.
