Actually, DEFCON 2 is condition red, not orange. It means that the armed forces are ready to mobilize in less than 6 hours. DEFCON 1 is condition white, not red. It means nuclear war is imminent and that the armed forces are at maximum readiness, ready to take action against any threat they may encounter.

Someone posted the question is there a Defcon 0? (Zero) The answer is yes there is a Defcon 0, however, nobody would know it, nobody would be alive to initiate the Defcon 0, therefore, it would not exist and neither would any living thing after Defcon 1++.
When Defcon 1 is eminent would be a good time to ask God to forgive you, your sins, and to thank Him for all the good things He's done for you and to save your soul.
