    Toyota should sell a special edition Tacoma TRD pro with this design on it.

      @@Enough_Tumbleweed There’s always someone willing to pay. It would be painted by robots anyway and wouldn’t be a huge difference if already financing.

    It looks great and I love that it’s for a good cause. The soft top though... Brown just doesn’t do the truck right.

    • @joelcarterramadge183

      The tan softtop looks better with the white wrap, though.

    • @BigStreams_
      @BigStreams_ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The tan top looked pretty good with the plain white truck. On the new wrap it definitely should be black

    • @chrisgill7824
      @chrisgill7824 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Removing that top and going with either a fiberglass topper wrapped to match which would be period correct for that truck or nothing at all would be the first thing I'd do to that truck if I won it in the auction. That soft topper would be in the trash.

  • @likits1999
    @likits1999 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Im glad you chose Relentless for this build. I believe it doesnt get any better than that. Both my nephew and I have had cars totalled themselves on your rear bumpers and the powdercoat being scraped was the only damage to our rigs.
    Great job man! The Ironman Steward theme makes that Toyota stand out for what it is, a beast!

  • @fotomotoxxiii
    @fotomotoxxiii 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    The truck looks amazing I love it and soft topper looks even better with the wrap. Bumpers look great although very expensive and the tires are going to finish the look! I'd add rock sliders too to finalize it and give it some more side protection. What a cool little truck.

    My 98 2.7 5spd 4x4 ext cab burned a valve at 130k miles . Got it fixed by a reputable Toyota mechanic locally but it just never ran the same so I ended up selling it. I just picked up a 2011 single cab 5spd 4x4 with the 2TRFE with 213k miles and it’s been well maintained and runs strong . Hoping this Engine lasts for many more miles

    Truck looks awesome! The black rims look soooo much better. The brown topper and the white reminds me of the desert here in Western CO.
    Personally, I would have done shades of blue stripes with the silver paint to save some money and avoid issues with the nose bubbling during the winter, but... it’s not my project :)

  • @indygamertag829
    @indygamertag829 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've always wanted a gen 1 taco but never made the jump because finding 4x4 was hard and any that were, were just WAY to overpriced. Wish I could make a jab at this one! But 4 doors is more my style. BUT I can't say this doesn't make me want one again... and I'm loving what y'all have done!

  • @aaronbehindbars
    @aaronbehindbars 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks amazing! Had a white 2002 Prerunner TRD Xtracab and I would totally have those stripes added to it if I still had the truck.
    I know y'all spent a ton fixing the engine, so wheels probably aren't in the budget, but some bronze or magnesium colored wheels would accent the tan soft topper really well. That should be a must-do for whoever buys this truck. I know there was some lament for getting the tan topper, but it really creates a great styling opportunity with new wheels.

    You guys should do a towing test, that inline 6 f100 vs the toyota vs a 5.0 windsor/chevy305 and show what it means to have all your power off idle vs having your power up high, then if you build your f100s 300 up with good flowing head 4 barrel carb nice cam, do the tow test and a race it'll really shock you how crazy that i6 gets with a proper flowing head and good exhaust and intake setup, my 84 smokes some v8s and shes a 300 i6 with the t18
