Hi everyone, here’s my comprehensive overview video on my trip to Serbia with a whole bunch of tips for your next travel to this beautiful country in the Western Balkans. I hope you will find it useful and wish you a great week ahead 🌺
Hi Janus! You made really a great travel guide with full of inspiration and useful tips! It's very nice to see how much work and care you put in every videos you shared! Very organized and enjoyable contents as well. Your Serbia videos make me want to visit this wonderful country one day. Many thanks Janus and see you on Saturday ☺️
Thanks! Just been to the Guca Trumpet Festival! Serbia countryside is so lush, a European jungle and such lovely people. They don`t necessarily speak many foreign languages but they do their best to get communication to work and we had the best service everywhere. Totally recommend visiting the beautiful countryside of Serbia.
Thank you for the wonderful presentation of our country, but you missed Lepenski Vir and Vinca, that' s where European civilization was born!! Lepenski Vir is also known.for the natural phenomenon of ,,double sunrise" and Vinca has the first script, without any doubt!!
Thank you for watching. Check out my video on Eastern Serbia for the reason I did not make it to Lepenski Vir. It was definitely part of my travel Itinerary but i was forced to turn around just before reaching there
"Serbia the most beautiful fairy tale, Serbia father and mother, we love you as you love us. All roads lead to you from love to freedom". May God grant you salvation. 🙏❤️❤️❤️🌹🍀🌹🍀🌹
Nice choice for 2 week. And don't be sad because you cannot see everything for 2 weeks, just come again, and again, and again, and again.... there would be always something new to be seen :))))
Up to 20% tips in restaurants will be definitely appreciated by waiters, however, that is quite rare. Usually, one should tip several percent, mostly rounding the bill. As an example, if your bill was 9600 dinars one should leave 10000. Most restaurants in Belgrade have wireless credit card machines but I haven't seen one that has a tipping step during payment procedure. In these cases one has to leave some cash as a tip. It is basically the same as what you described for taxis.
Also, if staying for more than a week or two, avoid airBNB. It's useful only for short stays, anything longer than that is a daylight robbery. You can easily find a rental for 350-600 euros, which is way more cheaper than most of the airBNB's, which can cost you 1000+ euros.
The Avalа tower that you see now is not from the communist era. The one from the communist era (built in 1965) was destroyed in the criminal NATO bombing of Serbia (April 29, 1999), out of pure envy. The current Avalа Tower was built after the bombing (open in April 21, 2010). Nice presentation by the way.
Great info! but what about transportation from one city to the other? like If I want to visit all Serbia strting in Nis and going up, without a car, how should I go?
Thank you! Your best bet might be to travel with the bus. There are several busses connecting the major cities with Belgrade. Here’s a site where you can find the routes: www.busbud.com/en/country/rs In addition, you can use the train. Here’s a site that provides more info on the train routes: www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/tips-and-tricks/trains-europe/trains-country/trains-serbia
you are not right, we are not inhabited, we have always been from here,,,Vincenzo culture, for example, the Vinca script is almost identical to our Cyrillic alphabet
Affordable, affordable, but you sell a convertible currency, the U.S. dollar to a NON-convertible currency, serbian dinar. It's like taking dollars from western system and throwing away. They will never return into western economy. More, they will be used to emit serbian dinar, since is covered in dollars.
Hi Valentin, it didn’t at all feel like “throwing away money”, but rather you get a lot for your $$ given the favorable exchange rate. Locals told me that the living costs for people living on a local salary are naturally much higher
@@januslog Dollar, Pound Sterling, Japanese Yen, Euro have a lot of value, because it is based on merchandise exchange. If the trade goes down a little, these currencies fall like flies. Also bad economic decisions influence them a lot. Like the case of US dollar which dropped 20% in June 2020. Strong anti-consumption measures were taken, so the dollar stayed as valued as it is.
What a convertible currency is ? A currency which can be exchanged with other convertible currency because there are big merchandise exchanges between the 2 countries. Balances between monies and merchandises is very easily adjusted because of this trade.
What a non-convertible currency is ? A currency which cannot buy anything in another country, because there are limited or no merchandise exchanges. For example: romanian leu and hungarian forint. They are not convertible relative to each other. You cannot buy with lei something produced in Hungary and with forints something produced in Romania. The commercial exchanges are too little for that. Instead, a romanian has to buy dollars or euro, then go to Hungary and exchange them for forints. And viceversa. Same with serbian dinars, czech koruna and other non-convertible currencies: you cannot buy anyhting with them outside their countries.

@@valentinchiriac9117 It is better to be wise in silence than to remove all suspicion that you are malicious and a pitiful ignoramus, to be regretted.
