I really hope you pick up massive traction because you deserve it and honestly these recent reviews are really, really excellent. The way you explain things is amazing and your humor is as sharp as ever. It's euphoric to know exactly what kind of game I'm getting into while being thoroughly entertained. Getting both at the same time at this quality is extremely difficult and rare.

Bird Week Tackle Strategy game would be a must buy..
The name put me off for a bit, but after seeing it on sale i had to check it out just now. Then i realized all of my favorite gaming youtubers made a video about it. First of all, the dialed back intro cinematics but high effort visuals during gameplay are a clear indication of something special. This one definitely deserves some recognition for having a large potential of FUN (to be had)

It's very refreshing to watch video game reviews on youtube with passion in them. 98% of them are just algorithm chasers. They're beneath the wheel and trying to keep up with their relentless upload schedule and you can just hear the tiredness and apathy in their speaking voices. I appreciate CGR keeping it real and keeping it fun.
I too drew comparisons to PSP tactics games when playing. It's a solid first entry that got repetitive in the back half (many games have an issue of gameplay arc ending before the story does.)
Cant believe its back i know youve been here i checked back time to time. But the reviews are back!
Lately, the big budget Square releases haven't done much for me. FFXVI was just gut rot awful.
But their AA releases, like Triangle Strategy, Tactics Ogre Reborn and Octopath Traveller 2 have been just downright fantastic. I suppose I should give Diofield a look if Mark's pretty positive toward it.

This game is a BRILLIANT take on the tactics genre - I don't love all the anime stuff, but like Persona 5, it's SUCH a good game that you gotta look past all that.

A field full of Dios would be pretty badass, in fairness.
Looking at this, combat looks like a mix of turn-based JRPG and Baldur's Gate stop/start realtime.
I played this one for a good number of hours, kinda waiting for something to happen. Not sure what, it just felt that there should have been something more going on, but I can’t quite put my finger on what. Great video!

I've never heard of this game. Looks alright, I guess?... Maybe it would have been more memorable if it HAD lightsabers. Yeah, if this was Star Wars, I'd have probably played through it long ago.

What makes this one different is it deviates from stuff like Fire Emblem in that it’s real time strategy.. It’s not anything I’m used to so I’m getting destroyed lol Guess it’s something I have to work on along with other stuff like Midnight Suns..
So I suppose in essence this is more or less Triangle Strategy meets Xenoblade.. Wonder if Mark will cover the Gungnir rerelease.. I noticed it on the eshop..

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim has similar gameplay, but the best part compared to this game is that it has GIANT ROBOTS!!! Just not really flamethrowers attached to those robots, but sometimes you can't win them all.
OMG that one is another masterpiece I have to get back to.. A love letter to sci fi fans who play SRPGs
Mark can make even these games fun :)
