I love this painting and the colors you used. I watched this once before and liked it so much I watched it again, and got more out of it. Karen from Canada
Thank you for sharing your art and knowledge! I love your art and it’s incredibly smoothing to watch your videos! Your work is awesome! Again thank you for sharing ❤️
I hope you have learned that there is someone distributing these paints in Australia. Mind of Watercolor Steve Mitchell gave a shout out to that person, April Palmer on Etsy.
I know this is old but just FYI.. Strathmore makes a Visual Journal for multimedia that is 90# 100% cotton.. it's actually really great paper. I use it constantly for swatches, light color/mixing studies, swatch sheets for palettes, etc. You could paint on it if you wanted to, especially for drier stroke work like in your sample painting, but it would buckle under heavy water if not stretched. I have no idea why they didn't make the watercolor version cotton... it's a much nicer sketchbook than their 500 version ones which are just folded and stapled.
Oh my gosh twin!!! What yummy colors!! And I absolutely LOVE this painting!! Stunning!! It's whimsical, kind of asian and magical!! All at the same time!!
I love it when TH-camrs support other TH-camrs. It shows what the art community is really all about. These paints look really nice, but I need another set of watercolor like I need a hole in the head, lol.
@@ligaskirbauska8652 Turner Mars Black is a good dupe for DS Lunar Black according to Lindsay. Buy at Jerry's Artarama and wait for the sales when the tubes go to $4 ea for a 15ml. Turner paints are good except for the Myan colors. Avoid those.

Glad you love these paints, I have 20 colours I picked from their chart, I love their blues and greens in particular, and they just do not disappoint. There is a vendor in my country and they are very affordable here, I believe they will be available in tubes too and hope the company will stretch their remit to many other countries as they have a great product. Their half pans are slightly smaller in paint volume than some other companies but they make up for this by the intensity of the colour. Really nice to watch you paint and to use handmade paper. for quite delicate work proving that it is possible! And what a great result.
fabulous! I love the painting. That paper looks awesome. Just got my journal but haven't tried it out yet. The paints look amazing!! A bit costly. but look very worth it.

I too am a frustrated Australian who can’t always get what she wants online. CeeCee can you please tell me your favourite watercolour paper. And whereabouts in Montreal do you buy it? My son would like to get me some for Christmas and he is in Montreal.
Oh, you must miss your son dearly... maybe one day you'll come visit? :-) i have a few preferences: the Arches cold press, 140lb is probably my all time favorite. it's 100%cotton and comes in different texture. my all time fav is the rough grain by Arches. if he can splurge, i would also look at the 300lb but it's quite pricey. if you are looking at something more artisanal, there's the Canal Paper or sometimes referred to as "montreal paper" which is made by La Papeterie St-Armand and sold at Hachem and Deserres stores throughout Montreal and the suburbs. hope that helps!
Thank you so much CeeCee! I will pass this on to my son. And perhaps I’ll get something special! We did go to Canada last year. We took him on a cruise with us around Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Such a gorgeous part of the world. Again thank you for this information and also thanks for all you do.
