As a complete layman I have tried to follow the various video updates. Where are the three mark three coaches at the start of the video located and will the new line go through a tunnel? How far north towards Leek will the new line go? Finally It shows one line curving round, is this part of a railway triangle south of the tunnel. Very sorry to cause any confusion. Looking forward to favourable comments.
I hope the update includes a map showing progress. Interesting as the video is, the before and after shots not easy to follow, especially for someone not familiar with the area.

Great to see an overview of the new station site, I hadn't realised how long the platform would be!!! Excellent footage 🙂! What were the 5(?) detonators for (activated 5197 by at 1.56)? Special Occasion? Keep up the good work!
@@willlister9825 Will Lister the train footage with the detonators was when the triangle was first opened, be sure to subscribe and hit the bell, there’s more to come hence the “to be continued….. “. I’d hate for anyone to miss what’s in store…… ;-).
@@Sam_Green____4114 Unfortunalty not, as the old station is now Morrisons, that’s as close as it can go to the original site, but please subscribe and hit the full notification bell. As there will be an update in the next few weeks.

Churnet Valley is local to me. If only there weren't a supermarket obstructing the tunnel onto Rudyard Lake and the mainline beyond. Can you imagine?
Now there’s a thought, but unfortunately we can only dream about it
I have often thought that. It’s as if the town decided to isolate itself like a tortoise drawing into its shell.
@ hopefully this will be the start, a few more of the old lines need reconnecting, Staffordshire had one of the best rail networks at one stage.

It's not going back to the town centre or to the old station site then ?
