However, prior to 2007, the reality for smallholder coffee farmers in the Bolaven Plateau of Laos PDR was marked by considerable hardship. In response to this, the organization, Coopérative des Producteurs de Café du Plateau des Bolovens (CPC) was established in 200 and associated with Fairtrade in 2009. Today, the organization ‪@AGPCbolovens‬ enhances the economic well-being of all members across the agricultural value chain by leveraging the Fairtrade premium. Hence, it uplifting the lives of coffee farmers across the entire agricultural spectrum. But it doesn't stop there. Through initiatives such as school and road development projects, the Fairtrade premium also fosters social improvements within its community.
